Dark Skin Black Women is a stupid term. Light Skinned Black Women is an OXYMORON!! It does not exist. They are not Black period but are a variety of white person. I have always loved my dark skin. Always. And it is sad that you didn't and still don't and envy people who the sun burns and fur on their head gets lice.

This is me as a filipino american 😢 I was born in the US to a Filipino mom and American dad. My mom speaks two languages besides english (Tagalog and bisaya) but my dad told her to only speak english to me so I wouldnt be “confused” like what!!!??? The majority of the world is bilingual or more and speak each fine or to a rather fluent level, and my mom is trilingual so why did they decide not to teach me😭😭😭😭 I always feel so outcasted at filipino family gatherings, and never feel enough.

I don't date dark skinned women because they're not attractive. Lighter skin/white women are more attractive than dark skinned women don't get mad at the truth men of all races of find lighter skin women more attractive you can talk about it all you want but at the end of the day you can complain about about it and accept it or understand and accept it yhe choice is up to you.

Isn’t it great that Peele made “Nope” where it features black characters in situations that doesn’t have anything to do with racism! Sucks that there was another season of this type of show but because of opinions like these we’re getting better representation slowly but surely.

Why is everyone hating on a show that WASN’T made for them. It’s for the other side to learn and FEEL what the black experience is. We have generational trauma whether you want to acknowledge it or not and that needs to be talked about. Everyone else gets to. How can you say you don’t speak for all Black people but you somehow know a small minority of Black people like this while the majority are tired of see this type of stuff. How you know that? I hope they keep making movies and tv show like this until others understand us FULLY and things change. We’ve been told for so long to get over it and move on. That can only be done with discussion and reconciliation, both of which have never been done properly. Jewish people and Natives Indians never stop telling their stories of what has happened to their people but we for some reason should stay quiet about what has happened to us, AND IS STILL HAPPENING DAILY. It’s like there is some sort of embarrassment that is suppose to go along with wanting to talk about it. Black people are no longer just gangbangers and other terrible stereotypes in movies and tv shows. We now have more power than ever to control the narrative and telling these stories from OUR point of view with OUR own words is the type of thing our ancestors wished they could. 🙌🏾🙌🏾 MORE!!!!

Guys, changing back to natural isn't this deep. Just leave your hair, cream it and be making all back. Not box braids, be installing wigs, just all back. You're hair will grow. My hair took 7 months to transition back to natural hair🤭. Yes, trim it but very very little or hair will be so short when it's back to natural. If you are patient and not doing too much it will transition back as fast as possible, maybe even faster that mine. GOOD LUCK GUYS🥰🙂😀🤗

I seriously think that writers get off on being able to put blatant racism on screen because it gives them an opportunity to live out there own desires in some from or fashion. For example Dan Schneider writing sexualized jokes in children's show

Okay, I thought I was just being white. I watched the whole season and....it was like Black Trauma p*rn. The actors were fantastic, the cinematography was amazing, oooo and the set/landscape!! It did show the violence white women have preppetuated against the Black community so goddamn well. The child actress that played Gracie! She was soooo good, I hope she has a safe and long career. but I don't like that she actually had to see the dolls. Like. Mmm. That was...why?

I think the TV show was extremely good and very very deep… As black American its a little unsettling to watch, but it opens up some serious issues in a black community. That nobody wants to talk about. As a black horror, the TV show did its job. It was more psychological than anything else.

But you want true to life event mix with fiction because in actuality this is what “THEM” is about. He’s actually letting younger generation know how South Central LA came about at one point it was an all Caucasian community very racist And how far we came but yet still deal with the same struggles. In the 1930s KKKs were chased out of Inglewood by black and brown citizens. So before yall start complaining what you don’t want to see start researching what was

I think black people think about white people too much and should focus on fixing their own community. Yall dont even realize if you ignore racism it wont work anymore. I feel like now more than ever black people blame white people when theres the least amount of racism now more than ever. If you pick on someone and you get a reaction, wont you keep poking them? For some reason you wanna tell white people their wrong when youre not perfect, and instead of being outraged over everything if you didnt give it any air time, people wouldnt profit off of.

This is so relatable it’s unreal. My dad is greek but never taught us the language. We still grew up with the culture because of my grandparents who cooked for us and live in Greece for half of the year every year. We visited their home almost every summer and I really feel at home in Greece. But now that I am more grown up I have noticed that the greek local people of course view us as “the tourists” because all of my family (even my mom bc she studied it at university!) speaks greek except for us siblings. And it does hurt to not be able to communicate with my greek family and the greek people in general. I do not feel like a tourist at all whenever I am there, but I know that I am being seen as one. And if I am fully honest, it does hurt to know that my dad actively chose to not share that part of his identity and OUR identity with us. I will always have a small identity crisis I think, but hopefully someday I can fully accept the fact that I am allowed to feel greek or part-greek without having the fear of someone discrediting your identity.

The series " Them" was great, it shows the truth of what happened in the 50s which everyone should be aware of , blacks or whites. Black people were definitely Traumatised living in that kind of environment. If black people wants movie on order, please create your own and invest in your own. If you don't put the money don't criticise.

I feel so sad for POC (let’s be real it’s mostly a special sect of black women who were raised on twitter) that just can NOT view politics or social issues through ANY lens but race, and not just race, the binary white VS black lense,so simple minded,a conversation that begins and ends with hopelessness and victimhood. If you wanna argue Lana is messy for name dropping that’s valid,to insinuate let alone flat out say it comes from a place of racism….all I can say is find a charity or a church you can volunteer at to help with the insane self centered complex y’all have, good luck.
