This channel is basically a variety channel where I share my daily thoughts, feelings, hobbies, interests & talk about & show you things I collect. I absolutely adore antiques, and animals. I also enjoy metal detecting too.
I suffer from severe anxiety, PTSD, Agoraphobia & Panic Disorder so some of my videos may seem awkward and I may not be the most articulate person you ever watched. I am introverted and very shy, so most of my videos, do not contain me in them. Sometimes I use foul language in my videos and I apologize for that. When I do that, it is just me letting off some steam. I do my best not to act fake or phony in my videos and what you see is the real, every day me.

Today is a sad day for America, I blame the mainstream media and those running this country telling so many lies about Trump for the attempted assassination of President Trump because they don't want to lose power. I wish people would do research instead of believing everything the media is spewing 😢
Lol. You dad is smart. The kids are cute, but the whistles are not. The older I get, the more I understand why my dad always said "Children should be seen and not heard" 🤣
Lmao. Yesss! You are probably right. My kids had them too, but I forbade them to annoy the neighbors with them outside when they brought them home from school. These kids are adorable, but my ears beg to differ 🤣😂
Lmao, elder abuse! I had to put my ear bud's in because it was making Kimber bark..I complain about the 15 minute drive to town..seeing this I'm so happy I don't live in a neighborhood. Hopefully, they will be going back to school soon lol. This video was hilarious
@@sherri2594 I actually like these neighbors very much. It is just that once in a while they have a party or two which is really not a problem. When their grandkids come over then it gets noisy over the summer which is understandable. It is the new people that moved in around the corner that are the problem. Their yard is attached to mine and they are foreigners who don't understand that in America, it is rude to disturb your neighbors every single day. Those people are the real problem. The whistles were nothing compared to what the people around the corner do, lol.
@FuturesPast1 things are so different in the countries they come from. We don't want the US to be like that. Did you watch the new Tom MacDonald video he put out today? It made me a little emotional. We have 1 house that is a little further back off the road from us. Lee went to school with him, his now ex-wife was a drug addict..cars would park at the end of their driveway..I knew drug deals were going on, I should have reported it. It drove Kimber crazy. It was a sad story, she got their 20 something yo daughter addict..she overdosed in her car somewhere near Baltimore. On occasion, they have parties at the pond. My daughter was released today..I really hope she stays off the meth this time.
@@sherri2594 I will say a prayer for your daughter. Drug addiction is running rampant on Long Island. There are drug rehab centers and half way houses popping up all over here. The sad part are most are NGO's (Non-Governmental Organizations), who misuse the millions of dollars that the government gives to them to help people. Instead, the owners of these places are getting rich and not giving these people the care they need. The big wigs pocket most of the money and skimp on the care for them. There are actually videos on RU-vid on how to start these things up and get rich from donations and government funds. It makes me sick. They tell people how to purchase homes and turn them into half way houses and how to make millions of dollars. I did not listen to Tom MacDonald's new song yet. My daughter laughs and says "Only old people like you listen to him". Apparently he is not cool to Generation Z kids and according to her only 50 year olds or older listen to his music. She said his music is "so cringe" whatever that means, lol 🤣
To the right of the plug port on back of the radio is a light that goes on when the charger is plugged in. If it is red it is not fully charged. When it turns green it is fully charged. You cannot replace the internal battery.
@@spawn11 I've had mine for 2 years now and we still use it everyday. My husband loved it so much he took it from me, lol. He plays it every day and I barely ever get to use it. It is has lasted us a while thankfully.
@@spawn11 I do not have the owner's manual anymore as I have gotten it 2 years ago and must have thrown it out with the original box. However, I do not know what they mean by changing the battery. These type of batteries are usually not removable and are screwed inside the speaker. I wonder how they would be able to be changed if needed? Maybe you can ask the seller on Amazon. I do not sell these or have a relationship with the seller. Your best bet is to ask the seller a question through Amazon. Sorry I couldn't help you better and thanks for your questions.
You're only saying what a lot of us are thinking. It frustrates me they are given more money than my measly social security amount a month including benefits..our health insurance is over $1200.00 a month..it's a disgrace! Love the new relic ❤
Lol. I sped it up because it was like 30 minutes of me talking and most people have 30 second attention spans since the invention of Tic Tok,. I just got it yesterday so the verdict is in. I read after the video that you have to fill up the whole entire sheet of plastic with a document in order for it not to curl. I am going to experiment with it more to see if that is true before I give up on it.
You can, but it it won't sound too wonderful. For that then you should get an expensive $500 Shure SM7dB Dynamic Cardioid Microphone if you are going to make a career out of recording music.
In this test, the JBL sounds better than the W-King. It is more balanced, clearer and less distorted with a superior high end. JBL's bass is weaker and way less volume than the W-King. I have two D9-1s, and I know from listening and testing the woofer has a problem with second harmonic distortion. I almost sent mine back, but tried a break-in. 24 hours later they were much improved, and I kept them. Push them hard during any break-in. Pink noise is good. The distortion issue is in the woofer driver itself. Providing party music at an outdoor swimming pool they are in their element. For critical listening they are not desirable.
Omg… I was not expecting that to be in there!!! 🩵 You just scored big time! I dream of finding one of these in the wild! And this looks very similar to my blue vase! I’m so happy you found that for a steal!!! Now I need to go look for one!! 😂
Good luck. Hope you find one soon and thanks for watching 💖 If you find one of these and want to flip it, the only the way to sell it through is off of eBay and Whatnot though. Buyers on eBay or Whatnot won't usually pay these prices unfortunately. They are bargain hunters like we are. RubyLane, Etsy, Chairish and 1st Dibs command these high prices. On eBay we would be really lucky to only see $80-$150 for one of these. The eBay and Whatnot bargain hunters won't pay these prices. I used to sell mine on the other venues and got these prices.
@@FuturesPast1 Yeah I noticed those are the go to places for bargain hunting! And omg I had no idea you sold items! I’d love to check it sometime! Do you have a whatnot account or when do you sell now?
@@superboiii6920 I started selling online in 1999 on eBay. I never sold on Whatnot because to be honest I am looking for higher end buyers who have the money to pay top prices. Too many people became bargain hunters like I and were always looking to score a deal. Whatnot is not a good selling platform for high end items unless you want to practically give them away. I used to be a Power Seller on eBay over 20 years ago up until about 2012 when people there weren't bargain hunters. I stopped selling there when I got scammed out of one of my high end items that I sold and lost close to $500 when a scam buyer screwed me over. eBay does not protect sellers there. It took me a while of battling with eBay to get my $500 back after I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. After that I vowed never to sell on eBay again. I only buy things on eBay now. Then I moved to Ruby Lane and sold to only wealthy people from Beverly Hills, high end interior designers and to rich and famous people. I had a big following. I got the highest prices for my items there. At that point the eBay buyer demographic changed and most buyers were only looking for bargain basement, thrift store prices. Ruby Lane got me the classiest buyers where money was no object. Then Rubylane's fees got too high, so I switched to Etsy which had much lower fees. Then the fees got high there too and were killing me. Also the taxes I had to pay on each sale was outrageous because the government also takes taxes off the shipping costs too. Etsy and other sites also charge fees on the item's selling price and the shipping costs too. Most of my items were fragile and large and the shipping costs would average $40-$125. By the time all was said and done, I was paying 40-50% in fees and taxes so I stopped selling. I rather keep my items than lose almost 50% of the profit on each sale. If I didn't have to pay all those taxes especially when they charged me taxes on the item plus the shipping costs, I would still be selling. I rather not sell anything anymore if I have to lose that much money. I stopped selling online around 2020/2021.
@@FuturesPast1 Wow, what a rollercoaster you went through! I can’t believe that actually happened to you, $500 is no joke! I’ve been think about reselling lately, so this information was beyond helpful thank you. Also, if I could pay top dollar for your items I so would! But for now I’ll be out bargain hunting at the goodwill, it’s so much fun just going out and never knowing what you’ll find next, even if it’s for your own fun. ☺️
Any chance of a link to the research, I've tried to find any information on Platinin but I'm drawing up blanks on searches. Any history will be great like why was it called Platinin and not platinum. Thanks in advance
www.watchuseek.com/threads/can-someone-help-me-with-this-case.5525164/ Read the details: www.pinterest.com/pin/848717492254210840/ What is Platinin? Platinin is a metal alloy patented by Henkel & Grosse in the 1920s. It’s found in Art Deco era jewelry designs, eye glasses, and other accessories. It has the hardness and luster of platinum, without the high cost. Its worth is comparable to sterling silver, albeit a bit higher, since some pricey platinum exists in Platinin. Simulations of precious metals were popular during the interwar Art Deco period, both due to technological advances that made plating and mass market alloys possible, and also to the middle-class demand for goods that looked expensive. Here is the whole article for the info above (scroll down to "Platinin): minusonejewelry.com/focus-on-the-collar-necklace/ It was in jewelry for a very short time period 1920s-30s when platinum was restricted. Not quite as expensive as platinum (approx 30% less), was thought to be visually indistinguishable. An alloy of six metals formulated to resemble platinum. Very stable, doesn't corrode or need polishing. Has a cold silver tone. First called 'platinon' circa 1922 until 1929 when it was re-branded 'platinin'. Production of this metal alloy ceased in 1939 due to World War II, the components no longer being available for civilian use. @@Dr_Lazarus You are welcome. A lot of sellers are selling those Platinin items as real Platinum. That is why I am always doing research on the items I buy. If these glasses were real platinum, they would be worth over $2,000+. It sucked when I found out Platinin was faux platinum.
I’d report it. If you had won it at the lower price, I’m sure the seller would have lost the item. You did great though, still a very nice price for an exquisite piece 🤗💙
Thanks. Please stay tuned for more videos of his radios and thanks for watching. I don't think I am smart enough for this sort of thing. However, he is going to try to help me get my license. I am going to shoot some documentaries of his radios and set ups. We will be doing more videos soon of him showing everything. He said he has a set up that nobody in the world has except for him and he is going to demonstrate it to me on camera in a month or so. I am excited to see what he is going to reveal to us all.
Actually, the Gibson Girl came out in the 1890s, and the popularly of the girls ended somewhere during the First World War, but the illustrator still illustrated till he passed away in 1944. I don't know much of the detail, but I think it was right.
Yes, you are right. The late Victorian Art Nouveau style ladies with the big rat tail combed back up-do hairstyles of the late 1800s started the trend. Charles Dana Gibson popularized them in the early Edwardian era. About 1906 to about 1918 they were most popular because of his illustrations. This doll was made around 1915 after further research. You can see more info here about the doll: www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/appraisals/j-d-kestner-gibson-girl-doll-ca-1915/
Kestner's Gibson Girl Dolls came out from about 1910, earlier or so, if I recall. So yes, like I said, Gibson Girls are popular to ww1. So Kestner did make them up to about 1915 or so.
I would report it. Who know if it will do any good in the long run, but just letting people get away with things like that is what allows them to become such a problem. They are breaking the rules to make more money. They made more money off of you by making you pay more, and they made more money by not having to pay for the reserve. They want to reap the benefits an auction without a reserve while also reaping the benefits of having a reserve. They need to just play by the rules. That makes it fair for everyone.
I called eBay and reported it. They said they are sending it to their "investigations team". They said they will not be telling me the outcome. Since it makes them more money in fees the more money you pay I can guarantee if the seller was shilling they will not be kicked off sadly.
I attached it to my phone and you can hear it @14:14 into my video plugged into my android phone. You would need a splitter cable converter plug so that you can plug the 3.5 mm jack into a USB C if using an android phone without a 3.5 mm headphone port.
As long as your phone has a 3.5 mm headphone port. If not, you need to get a splitter to convert the 3.5 mm headphone jack to a USB C. At around @14:14 into the video I had it plugged into my old phone that had a 3.5 mm headphone port. It worked with my old Samsung Note 9 Android phone in the video. My newer phone is a Samsung S22 Ultra and it does not have a 3.5mm headphone port. I now need a 3.5 mm to USB C converter plug to get it to work with this phone. I cannot tell you if you can get it to work with an I-Phone as I do not have one. You would need a converter plug as I-Phones do not have headphone jacks.
It was raw and not edited when I spoke on the mic. The only thing that may have happened is it had gotten slightly compressed when I uploaded it to RU-vid.
I'm not sure it would do any good because if a shiller is smart, they have someone else set up to do their bid for them and it would have a different IP address.
I knew someone who would bid on his sister's auctions regularly to bump the prices up (maybe ebay guard more against this now, but I doubt it). I'm ALWAYS a sniper XD
Yes, a lot of seller's get friends or family to shill on the auctions also. It is so they don't have to pay a reserve fee, which I understand is expensive. I think the seller's should just start the opening bid at the minimum they are willing to accept. I am also always a sniper too. I get way more wins when I snipe.
I have self control issues, and am impulsive so I couldn't let this one go this time around, lol. I usually let things go too, but I looked at some of their other ended listings and found more shady looking bids. I already called eBay and they are looking into it. The rep said it looked very suspicious. They are sending this info to their fraud department and if the seller's IP address or home addresses, phone numbers and personal info match, he told me they are going to be banning them from selling on eBay. I am going to keep an eye out and see if the seller gets banned. I won't give feedback for at least 10-12 days and see if they are still on the platform. If yes, then they were exonerated.
@FuturesPast1 I'm glad you did report it. After Whatnot insinuated I had received something I didn't it made me so mad that they basically were calling me a liar. Keep us updated, I'm suspicious of anyone with 1 or 2 reviews.
@@sherri2594 Thanks. I cannot outright accuse this seller, but it is really very shady and suspicious. I will keep you all updated. What happened on Whatnot? Did a seller or Whatnot insinuate you received something you didn't? I do not trust that app/selling platform. Anything I am not familiar with makes me anxious. I just usually just stick with eBay, RubyLane, Mercari, Poshmark or Etsy. At least on eBay the buyer has a lot of protection. I am afraid of buying from Whatnot because I do not know how well their buyer protection is on there. What sucks is if the seller did actually shill on that listing, eBay told me they will not give me the difference in the extra I paid. I asked them and they said all they can do is just remove the seller from the platform.
@FuturesPast1 I purchased 2 items from a seller, they had to package them separately, but they used the same tracking number. The jewelry part was delivered in the mailbox, but the other part never came..it wouldn't have fit in the mailbox. When I messaged her she told me it was delivered I tried to explain to her I didn't receive both she didn't believe me so how do you take that up with Whatnot when it was marked delivered? I should have messaged them to let them know sellers should use a different tracking if they are packaging separately, but after the way they treated me I took the $10.00 loss. It isn't right they won't reimburse you for that difference, but the satisfaction of them being removed would make me happy.
@@sherri2594 Oh wow! That sounds like scammer behavior. She should have sent both items separately, each with a different tracking number. By her giving the same tracking number for the second item, she was scamming you and the system. In this case it is hard to prove she scammed you as Whatnot may think she combined the items in one shipment. My friend Chris filmed one of his unboxings from Whatnot thankfully. When he got screwed, he sent Whatnot video proof. It proved the seller sent him a broken/damaged item and Whatnot ruled in his favor. It is a shame they did not take your side. Maybe if you continue to buy there you can film yourself unboxing your items for proof if a seller scams you. This is one of the main reasons I make unboxing videos. If I get scammed or an item is broken I have proof which will help me get my money back.
There are hardware options out there for making your headphones louder too, and the most simple is an external amplifier. The primary reason you would want an amp is if you have a pair of audiophile headphones with high impedance or low sensitivity, meaning you require more power for louder sound.
Who would not execute Jesus if it was made clear to them by God that by doing so would ensure mankind a chance at immortality? A) Ancient Jews B) Ancient Romans C) Satan
They will, but truth be told they cannot afford to go digital right now. With over 35,000 cops, it would cost hundreds of millions of dollars to do that.
