Jeez, stop jerking the camera all over. It's not still for more than half a second. I think the bar codes are the same, but i can't tell for sure because you never stop moving the camera. The serial number may have been altered to conceal the source. This is common for gray market products: products from a foreign distributor imported to the US by a third party. This bypasses any regional price differences set by the manufacturer. It might be worthwhile to compare it against the S/N on its box. The Amazon bar code isn't covering enough of the UPS bar code to prevent scanning it, which is odd. Amazon generally wants sellers to cover those to avoid Amazon warehouse staff and robots from scanning the wrong barcode.
You do have a warranty on Milwaukee power tools purchased for less on Amazon. Milwaukee will go by mfg date on the power tool, if you don't have a receipt.
eBay/PayPal will fix this. Just open a case ASAP! FYI eBay has access to that seller's email you received. I've dealt with this before from sellers and chances are you will just get your money refunded; that is good. The issue I have is I just bought the same 2-pack type of Milwaukee batteries on eBay, oops! Now I need to check mine really well.
Those ebay fucks got me… sealed original packaging!!! Looked super legit!! Half price!! They are 1000% not the same as store batteries!! These fucks are getting pretty good at fooling ppl these days! Check back to complain or leave nasty feedback.. listing is vanished! Like I never even bought anything!! Seller gone too!! Wild…
The ebay sellers should be removed from the platform and their information forwarded law enforcement for prosecution. There are laws dealing with counterfeiting. Ebay should also be notified of any such deals as well.
I'll take the cheaper price, I really don't care if fake or not, I do have my own way around things too, just like everyone else in this planet, the same thing is for the batteries
I recently bought two M12 6.0 batteries on ebay, they were listed as genuine Milwaukee Red Lithium. When I received them, there were obvious signs in the packaging and item stickers that they were fake. I did not open them, I immediately requested a refund from the seller and told them I was shipping them back. I will never buy Milwaukee batteries on ebay again. I feel bad for the legit battery sellers on there, if there are any!
They didn’t have the resources to pump half the hole out of water, but now have the resources to be reactive to a situation that didn’t need to happen and pump the water out of the river.. seems counterintuitive
.....just like the ebay earphones i bought worked for a few days then it stopped working, got a refund and sent me a new one and last only one week. Bought a nice cool looking laptop backpack- two of them and ....all of the zippers broke! Cheap cheap!
I bought 4 Dewalt. Same thing. Battery shows full and can't take the load. But at the same time bought many great batteries. Hit and miss. Better than the price of the home hardware store.
It seems people will never learn that if it's really cheap there's a reason. In the long run it's always cheaper to spend the extra $5-$20 for genuine.
It's seriously getting ridiculous trying to keep up with all the counterfeit stuff but we have Nobody to blame but ourselves because unlike you and I we demand quality 3 out of 10 people won't care it's sad. Great video and information, chris. appreciate you sharing this!!
I was thinking my Ridgid impact was dying, it was the shitty battery. I thought it was a genuine Ridgid battery, I tried another battery and my impact is back to its old self. Cheers for the psa
I had bought a Milwaukee impact off of Amazon. I called Milwaukee about a warranty question soon after it arrived and was told by Milwaukee that they do not warranty anything that is bought at a non authorized seller, which mine was. I sent the tool back and went and bought the same one at a slightly higher price to make sure my warranty as valid.
Buy only batteries that come in button-welded packaging. So far, this has resulted in 3 (and I'm awaiting number 4) real Milwaukee batteries from ebay. Every fake I've seen on youtube so far has come from packaging that did not include the security welding. I don't thing the fakers has started using the security packing yet. Has anyone else had the same experience?
Its not the circuit board inside, but rather the different cell characteristics they use in them. They went for ones which have a lower discharge rate, and there's your result.
Coulda Woulda Shoulda and We Tried. Ya'll whole bunch are too damn lazy to step up and do anything. All it takes is ONE PERSON. And ya YOU are to blame as well for not doing anything. Its the pollution that ticks me off , environmental hazard that was easily foreseeable!!!!!!
Guess you missed the part of the video where I reached out to somebody in charge in the borough and I was told to not mess with it because the Coast guard taking care of it. It was far from sinking the first time I saw it. So if I would have had permission no problem I would have went and pumped it. Otherwise not worth getting involved in being blamed if something goes wrong
@@nnkhmisc ya a real Catch 22 . Asking permission was the mistake. I like to act first and get permission later. But I do agree the owner got what he wanted, out of that boat and into an insurance check. It was only a $2000-2500$ boat when it got there. Hind sight sure is 20/20 ya think ?!?!?
@@nnkhmisc I watched it trust me. Still feel about the same though. If someone boards a vessel in distress and takes the time to inspect the bilges and engine bays and goes THAT far ...... well you know what I wanna say next. But no since crying over Arab Oil in our precious waterways and local ecosystems.
