The filler is done by mixing the dust from the floor that you sand with resin so it varies fron floor to floor depending on the colour of the wood ,but is the closest match to the color of the wood as it is the actual dust from it .

The name of the product is morrells black varnish .

We use 150 grid .

It is oil based

It was a Bonna satin varnish .

Light oak mylands stain , then Bona varnish on top 3 coats of it .

You can do the same thing for decking go through the same proces bit no need for filler and you use decking oil as a finish .

After the first filler use grit 60 then refill and final snd with 100 grit.

Yes when doing soft wood it will fall and come out eventually while hard woods last longer.

I agree aith you but thats what the costumer recommended to us to use .

the name of the color is called jacobean dark oak stain

But it must be mixed with white spirit. for example a glass of akua filled with jacobean dark oak stain and two glasses of water filled exactly as done with white spirit stain. and you will have that color. 👍👷‍♂️

If you was to do the border first it would take much longer to fill in the herringbone .By installing the floor first you can cut a straight line with a skill saw and then install the border its faster and precise .

Can this be done with engineered laminate flooring?

Yes you can do it with engineered flooring but do not recommend ro do it with laminate .

Yes, for reasons the wider spaces will fall. because pine wood changes shape over time. and filler doesn't stay long depends on how we treat our floor. example if by chance we often use water 💧. The floor will change shape more often. and the filler will fall off. I always explain to clients that the filler is not very long-lasting over time. before we proceed 😊
