I just got this brand of inks today and I love them. I used to use watercolors but struggled to have the control I wanted as they would either not blend or blend way to much. I used to use oils so I love layering as well. These inks flow exactly the way I want AND don't disturb what I've already done. I plan on using watercolors when I do want that disturbed effect but otherwise it's acrylic inks form now on. I can also do lineart with black first the way I love doing without worry the colors are going to disturb the (dried) black.

( more than guys... but that's ONLY because of the stigma around itI) I like that your are working on showing that male / female can Be things that are or have been, normally gender imposed, without having to change their whole body make up! At least, that is how I read what you are saying...or rather, symbolizing? And It's my strongest opposition to the issue today. IF you aren't saying that... oops... sorry.
I remember watching your videos when I was around 10, 11? I’m 17 now. Your tips, your tutorials, it influenced me as I developed into my own style so much. I just wanted to thank you, because it helped me so much. With finishing my first sketchbook, with learning how to draw faces, just everything. Thank you. And you deserve to do what makes you happy. It sounds good but really hard to see on ur paper. Might not want yo use light colored pencils for the demo on this. Sorry but i really cant follow as i cant really see what u r talking about.
Gosh, I lift the color off the pencil with a wet brush. I can even create a wash and I can hold 3 or 4 colors in my left hand lifting/mixing different colors. Totally different I guess. The great big advantage is no pencil strokes on the paper. Oh, this is using Derwent AQUAtone woodless pencil that are solid pigment. Love them! Forgot to mention, I can also create a little travel pallet by marking the pencil pigment heavily onto thick paper. Then lift color off of that for quick little sketches. I feel like this tutorial totally skips this other method of using pencils. (which I find best.
Ok. Wow. Although I currently have a migraine, I dragged my butt to my table with the watercolor pencils. I did your technique blending from the light to dark instead of the opposite. You are so right and it looks so good!! I’ve been tempted to pitch the darn things with frustration and disappointment because I wanted to love them. Now I do. Thank you.
Was thinking that they would be good for really long lines of drawing without having to reload a brush, but the line quality I find unattractive and hard to control compared to a brush. I may buy just one and try some drawing with it, but not a game-changer as far as I can see.

That was very helpful, thank you! Bought a set of 120 watercolour pencils without knowing that this is how they are supposed to be used. So i was just colouring in the normal way like any pencils! Though i did wonder why they weren't blending very well! 😂

I still have my Bryunzeel watercolor pencils I got from my uncle at my hospital bed when I was 12. Never took to the watercoloring side of it, I simply hadn’t thought about them being watercolor pencils and their benefits. Recently I’ve rediscovered them and your video has given me some enthusiasm to use them like this. I am a very light colorist due to my muscle illness and don’t find them very pigmented but maybe I need to layer more so I’ll try that. If I still don’t like them at least I now know which pencils are worth buying. Your succulent is gorgeous btw

Rather then if the teacher just says do steps a,b,c and you'll get d... I hope that makes sense to you ☺️
