15 locks! Wow. I don’t know anything about boating, but that seems quite admirable to me. Well done you! I was so happy you didn’t forget your walkie talkie. The opening frames of this video would make a grand painting. You and Andrew and yes Matilda seem to have really gotten your routines down. Loved watching those older gentleman traveling together on their boat. They really were like a well oiled machine. Be well. See you next time.
Awesome vlog, we did the Ashby canal last year and are returning to the UK in April for some more, would love to bump in to you guys on the Cut, metaphorically speaking of course😊
This was a great blog, the photos of sunsets and sunruse,, spectacular, they could be framed for your boat. Lovely having Andrew joining in as you set off. You really work hard Kris, doing all those locks and pretty fast too. Enjoy the next few days, not cruising so far, so fast. 🍷🍷🌸🌿
Always lovely to watch your vlogs, your footage and editing are always top notch... as is the company, of course! Looking forward to my second narrowboat holiday in Autumn. No locks... the novice's dream... 😂😅
Long time viewer, second time commenter, glad you decided to keep vlogging, so often people just stop and they don’t say nowt, we always wonder if some awful fate has befallen them, like being eaten by wolves ( unlikely) or whether they just can’t be arsed( likely ) so well done for not falling foul to either of those. You went by our boat at Cowroast, moored on the off side ( Albion mills) keep up the good work ☮️
I am late to the Vlog, midnight here, but such a nice way to end the day. Beautiful scenery and I like that you’ve decided to have fun and not rush. Love the scenery and the little factoid about Andrew doing the website for the marina was nice. Glad you were able to find a good mooring spot. Matilda looks great. Welcome back, you were missed! 🤗😊 🦢 Kathy
Such a beautiful vlog , it would be wonderful to live on a boat I bet you just love it …..with all this beautiful sunsets outside your window , just love watching your travels 📖💘
Too much beauty 4:31 that bridge 😊 It's Interesting to experience a hard day occasionally I wonder if waybackmachine has the website that Andrew designed archived ? It can be kind've like an out of body experience, looking back at your internet history.
How Much For This in London is always my favourite bit, if a little depressing when you see actual property listings and realise you’re not that far off reality 😂
New Zealand here (ex UK) .... Love your films. You two remind me of Timothy West and Prunella Scales in "Great Canal Journeys". Hope your journeys last as long and are as much fun as theirs.
Birds are weird, but they're basically modern dinosaurs, so there's that. I'll take a heron with its floppy rat tail tongue over a Canadian goose every day of the year though - those guys have hooks on their tongues and will attack you without warning.
Ahhh! 😂😂 Loved this! Looking forward to seeing how it goes! We never made it to London before we changed our minds on our destination and it took us months to go from Wolverton to Watford. Perhaps we should have set a silly challenge!
Caen Hill flight on the Kennet and Avon Canal has 16 locks. Plus 13 from Devizes en route to Caen Hill. And then there’s Heartbreak Hill on the Trent and Mersey has 31 locks.
An excellent Vlog - some of your shots were gorgeous and your story was very watchable. I am just about to embark on a 59 mile, 12 day cruise on Kestrel (62ft narrowboat) and I am hoping that my cameras and me are able to do justice to our trip with a RU-vid video! You get a sub from me.
