i pre ordered the $80 earthmate edition a couple months ago and i can't wait. honestly even if the frame rate issues persist I'm still determined to love it. I'm still shocked we get another installment after YEARS of thinking we'd never get anything ever again. (and to answer your question, i use the voice packs that go with my selected language. I'll try out the original japanese voice packs in a second play through, but for the first one i just love to hear their comments and voice acting)

I played 5ish hours of the Japanese version and this looks waaaay better. The frame rate issues were terrible in the Japanese version and the textures were awful. I hope the game is able to maintain a decent frame rate.

It's been a long time since I've been this excited for a game, I really hope time will go by quickly so that I can finally play this! I'm most excited to just see the town and the world with the new graphics like you said. I'm also really excited to meet all the characters too!

I'm cautiously allowing myself to become excited for this game again! I was so happy that they continued the Rune Factory series, I put literally hundreds of hour into the previous games and would probably name RF4 as my favourite game ever, but then SoS:PoOT was pretty disappointing compared to earlier games and when RF5 released in Japan there were so many issues that I was really getting scared that this game could not live up to expectations. I am glad that they continued to work on the game and seem to have fixed most problems from what I've heard, but I am really not liking this recent trend of Marvelous releasing what essentially seems like unfinished games go me. Still goint to take a leap of faith and buy this one on launch day, because the material they've shown looks super promising!

I'm definitely veeery curious about the English Voice Cast and I'd check all of the voices out in English for sure. But as I understand and speak Japanese, I'd probably switch back to that if possible haha XD

0:30 I appreciate dual Dubs in games that have them - extra replayability and all that - but I also understand the significant costs involved with voice-acting. So I take what I can get, and all in all things turn out fine!

I've never played a Rune Factory game so I'm kind of waiting to see how people react to it, especially after Olive Town. Since I have no prior nostalgia for RF, It would definitely be a lot easier to disappoint myself and I'd rather not accidentally ruin the franchise for myself!

It is great finally seeing Rune5 advertised on Nintendo Switch. It is coming out ontime no delays. Yeah.I was checking it out everyday.

I'm so happy we're getting new trailers at long last! I love Rune Factory 5 because of how much it reminds me of Dark Cloud 2, and because recent news confirmed that there will be same sex marriage when it gets translated into English 🥰

I've played the game in Japanese since release and I got to say frame rate and over all flowers and crops have been improved. I can wait to play it in English and see more of the plot that I can understand. I really enjoy you videos thanks for you input and looking forwards on you playing the game! :D

RF4 is definitely my top game ever.. I really hope RF5 is as good or better, considering the trailers that I watched, it might reach my expectation 😍 can't wait to play it

I am so excited! Hopefully it runs and plays well. I am ready for a fun farming game after how dissappointed I was with Pioniers of olivetown. But poor rune factory 5. March comes with a tough competition. Kirby, triangle Strategy, Persona 4 arena, strangers of paradise plus some indies. Hopefully enough people buy it. I don't see many advertisements for it. I don't want to wait 8 years for sequel again.

I’m so ready for this. I was so happy when they came out with same sex marriage. The Bi struggle is real when you have to choose without getting to know any of the characters.

Framerate issues have never bothered me to much so I doubt it'll will bother me here, but it is odd that I actually notice it. Still I am so excited!

The game looks "fine" but for a 3D Nintendo Switch Rune Factory I was hoping for a more detailed environment... idk with BoTW looking this good and being one of the firsts switch games my expectations are a bit more high ? But I will still have a blast playing it tho

I'm so ready for rf5 but I'll be honest we've been waiting for so long and due to the fact that localization took a year and although I didn't watch any playthroughs and only heard a few opinions I've got to say my excitement is gone... that doesn't mean I'm not pre-ordering or playing the day it comes out or that I won't love this game so much! But it does definitely affect my anticipation of it which I really hate. I mean RF4 is one of my favorite games of all time so I really hope I can get some excitement back. I'm glad that many new games are becoming world wide releases because I do really think it affects sales and how people end up feeling about games while they wait. I am glad though that alot of the issues that rf5 in Japan faced will have been fixed by now but I wish that the release date had been somewhere in the middle and given to all of us at once.

I like dub because then I can enjoy it more, and like when characters stutter you can easily tell by their tones. I’m really hyped for this game, but I have no friends who like the game so I have to wait in silence!! I’m so excited to play this game, and marry everyon- I MEAN, playing the story!!

I'm soooo excited for this game~! I'm most hyped for the leveling up your skills (weapons) and taming monsters, and curious how the story will go and if I'll like a handful of the characters. I'm going into this one completely blind and no plans on who to court to marry, so that's going to be very fun, too~!

I was just about to ask if there was dual audio bc I've forgot X). But, yeah, I'm not a huge fan of english dubbing so I tend to play games in japanese if the option is there. Sometimes I switch between the two just to hear what everyone sounds like in english.

Hype intensifies! For games I always try the English but if it's cringe I immediately switch to Japanese.

I’m a voice actor nerd for both English and Japanese. So I google the voices and see which ones I recognize and prefer.

The game definitely looks better, also, i always choose between english or japanese, sometimes i like the japanese dub more and sometimes the english one.

Also: I'm most excited for that little frog b'tch Monster. I will have a farm full of them 🐸🐸🐸

I usually go for the Japanese dub if I can! English isn't my first language and I like to play games in the original language.

Thank you for making videos about the Rune Factory Series Wilder, I really appreciate your work, since the franchise is fairly unknown. I am very excited for the new characters and especially dating them. I hope they are as well written as the ones in RF4, it was so much fun talking to all of them every day. I look forward to discovering all of the beautiful animated cutscenes, they look so awesome! I love Rune Factory, and I won't miss this one either. The graphics look kinda underwhelming, but until this day, I love playing RF Frontier or the DS games, so that should not be too problematic.

honestly the frame rate looks perfect from my perspecitve it runs smooth af like monster hunter stories 2 lags at points idk maybe im just an old hag who dosen't really care bout minor frame drops as long as its soild most of the time rune factory for me is always bout romance and farming also on the voices note englih always english i never got the obesseion with sub voices in japaness content english voices were awlasy better in my eyes rune factory 4s biggest issue was that the great enlgish cast never got to shine maragrets voice was so cute and i really wish she could talk more

This is going to really excite me. Especially since Pionners of Olive Town and Friend of Mineral Town. Honestly until I get some Zelda action this year. Still hoping for ports of Windwaker HD and Twilight Princess HD. Still the way this game looks is what really makes RF5 stand out. Loving everything so far!

I don't care about the hats but I'm seriously sad that I can't play as a brown haired protagonist. I think farming sims are so good at making you feel like the character you're playing as but playing as a blonde guy will take away from that for me personally

Personally, I go with the English voiceovers for the sole reason that I am legally blind, and I love it when the voiceover is the same as the dialog, to save me a little eye strain. I am a fairly slow reader with my eyesight, imagine reading through a few letters at a time to put the word together, best way I can describe it, so I LOVE even partial voicework in games. I kind of want to learn to at least speak Japanese, though, because I'd love to understand the original voices better.

Was planning on getting the game, even asked my sister if she would buy the special edition or not. Turns out I can't, cause my mom already bought it (dont know if it is standard or earthmate) for me as a surprise. Which is great!! But I have to wait till Christmas to get it and the wait will be terrible. Luckily, pokemon legends is out in an hour, plus other games will be out (looking at you Howarts Legacy and BOTW2) to help tie me over.

Do you think Marvelous will follow the trend they've been making so far? We've gotten Friends of Mineral Town, Pioneers of Olive Town, and Rune Factory 4 on PC - surely they'll port over RF5, yeah? Maybe it's wishful thinking but I'd love to see them eventually port every RF game to PC.

For me I get the Japanese voices so I can try both and see which one I prefer. And am more interested in the characters then anything else.

I hope the characters are as wacky as ever, been feeling very nostalgic for how absolutely wild everyone is RF3 was lol. Also glad that not all the marriage candidates look like kids - maybe one day the devs will let us marry the milfs like Lin Fa and Shino 😂👌

I live in North America and I’ve had the game on pre-order for 2 or 3 months, I am so excited but also terrified I will be let down. RF4 is my favorite game and I have always played it in English but this time I am not really a fan of what I’ve heard of the RF5 voices. I might go for Japanese this time, if I can figure out how. As for anime, I’m a sub person, but there’s a few dub gems like Nana and Cowboy Bebop where I’d watch it in either one. I’m also one of the hat haters haha... I’m actually fine with them as long as I have the option to take them off. Hats on occasion can be fun but being stuck in a state of permanent hat-ness is not my thing.

Is the game in NA gonna release japanese voice though? I really want japanese voice with english subtitiles huhu.

FFFFFFFFFFF I am so psyched!!!!!! It's been so long since 4. I love the stories and the game design. Like, I know people love Stardew Valley or whatever, but it's NOT the same. RF is so much better. I can't even stay focused with Stardew Valley, so I just had to give it up. It wasn't fun to keep up with. ALSO, seriously hoping they remake Harvest Moon A (Wonderful) Life!!!! Maybe even combine it with HM DS since that is also set in Forget-Me-Not!!! Ugghhhhh. Idk how I will wait until March 22, but I'm sure I'll manage.

I'll be honest , wish the earthmate edition came with something more to it. for example the CD OST in the edition i wish they no longer included. I know in japan they really still use CD players and stuff . there aren't even any preorder bonuses , no matter where you preorder. its sad.

I usually go for the English ones. In games and anime. If the game has talking I want to hear it in my language. And if it's anime I can't do subs. I don't feel like pausing the video every time another line is spoken. So yes I go for English. (Nothing against the original language of either anime or games it's just what I prefer)

Personally I prefer playing games with the audio in the original language. Dubs don't sound right after hearing the original to me. Used to be if you bought a game in store here it would only be available in German, audio and text. Which is not something I like since it completely removes the option to play it in English or whatever else the original language was.

hate the MCs looks in this game.. and the environments look barren. Aside from that i'm excited to get my hands on this.

Love the idea, love the characters and the design, but graphics still ruin it for me. Bad execution. Can't even be justified with "That's the style of the game." I'm definitely gonna play it, no doubt. But I hope they'll massively improve if RF6 is gonna be a thing. Cause if not I will stop playing :/

I NEVER use the Japanese voice setting if it’s an option. Japanese dubs are way too loud and over expressive. Quite annoying.
