@@KevinHsiehTV all good, its just a trip cause im watching this clip from Sydney. Aint lived in seattle for over 20 years so wanted the clarification. Obviously played there a bunch back in the day
Great question. I think it depends on what you want to work on. The saber is great for hand eye coordination and learning how to swing through the ball. But junior rackets don’t do the same because of the sweet spot/strings/weight etc
Ummm.. it’s such a disgrace to tennis, the rackets should always have stayed small now they are practicing with a small head so they can go back to the giant heads. Makes no sense.
I wouldn’t say disgrace. Having bigger rackets makes the sport more beginner friendly. And it makes the higher levels more “exciting” (faster). I think people are just remembering that there are benefits to having the smaller racket face and bringing it back to ligjt
@@bulbasaur-dx5wy ???? 😂😂 players in the 70’s and 80’s developed top spin and control and power using traditional equipment, they didn’t have assistance. That is how you define a professional sport. If a player has the ‘talent’ to develop the power the top spin and the control using the original rackets and strings then that indicates they have the ability. When you are given those skills with the new rackets and strings that indicates you do not have the ability and therefore tennis is now full of talentless shills who are using the equipment to enhance their game. Professional sport is supposed to test the player and their raw ability, when you are given assistance that’s a handicap and it lessens the game, anyone can play then. Professional sports limit the population for the player who is unique. It has now become only an activity. This is why professional sports like MLB NFL use traditional bats and a ball that is virtually the same as decades ago, thin barrel made with solid wood and leather football. They cannot change this as then it alters the game and it’s history and as such all the statistics.
moce vid. but it is quite long. ma<be comment it afterwards whats happening in the points etc.... cuz only play made me not really pay attention adter 4min or so. keep it up nice work #. cheers
@@KevinHsiehTV value wise gel res 9 is better, but I do love the stability and comfort and looks of the vapor 11s. I just use the tennis warehouse 6 month warranty to buy the vapor 11s and used the usta tennis warehouse 30% off to buy the shoes also I do feel like performance wise both shoes are very comparable (to me at least)
All I’m going to say is, the current tennis economy is terrible. Bring back the 6 month warranties where they made an expensive sport affordable… the ruining the audience
How accurate are the UTR rankings for them? Doesn’t seem right to me. 7.5 beat the 8.4. I feel they could both have higher UTRs than current levels and Sam should not have been ranked almost 1 whole point lower than his opponent.
At the time, their UTRs were pretty accurate. Sam was just competing a lot less than Nirbhay. Sam is currently a 7.9 and Nirbhay 8.66 with a few wins over 9s recently
I have played on the first version of the shoe for the past few months and you’re not mistaken: the traction is a bit too strong. For me, that’s a huge negative and has led me to injure my ankle ligaments when attempting to slide… won’t be buying them again, but great overall shoe
Hey Tim, appreciate your honest thoughts. You’re welcome to meet me in Seattle for a match! If you win, I’ll personally pay for your flight and stay. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Friendly 4.0
@@KevinHsiehTV morning. I watched sections of the video again and my conclusion is : 1. Positive : both players attempted to come to the net and I saw some forehand volleying. That’s refreshing. As most players today, amateur in professional, do not know how to play tennis they stand on the baseline and they only know how to use those absolutely silly 2hbh’s which serve no purpose and cannot do the job that a 1hbh does. 2: most amateurs, 3.5 4.0 4.5. All have a serve and a forehand. This is so common. The use of todays artificial rackets and strings allow for easy topspin and control and power. So amateurs get an additional boost from using this new artificial technology, which really should not be part of the game. So your serves and forehand are common in this grouping. The backhand are just atrocious. My only only conclusion regarding players all adopting a two handed backhand is that they just are incapable of developing a natural one-handed backhand or they’re just trying to copy someone. it serves no purpose at all there’s limited reach there’s no opportunity for mid Court valleys. You cannot rush the net on a serve and volley you can’t drop volutin that you can’t do anything with a two handed backhand except stand on the baseline which is why 99% of all players today stand on the baseline and just hit a few forehands and silly 2handed backhands, and they just hope for the other player than miss. and that’s not real tennis. I am not directing this to you specifically. It’s the state of a boring game now. The personality in tennis is gone. I can see part of your game a 4.5 but that’s it. In order to be a 5.0 or higher. You need a natural backhand, midcourt volleys volley at the net and drop volley. And hardly anyone has a natural backhand. When did men decide that their fake should be exactly like the women’s game, how did that happen, men used to have a completely different game, now they are the exact same.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion! No reason to get offended. I’m sure there are some ppl who think I suck, including myself. Im fine with it :)
