My neighbor here in Ohio is heat broken because her boy friend is moving to the V. His kids live in FL and hers live here. She still works at 60 yr old. I told her cheer up and watch Jerry and Linda. They will lift your spirits.
Can’t complain about middle seats when you fly non rev. People that pay for their flights pay extra to pick their seats. Expecting them to change seats is very presumptuous of you.
Since you were at the Denali Princess Lodge for two nights, did you take the full day tour to the end of the road toward Denali? We did that as well a number of years ago when we did the princess cruise from Vancouver to Alaska. I hope your cabin was on the land side of the ship. We noted that we saw a lot more wildlife between the ship and the land, then looking out at the ocean side.
I forgot to add this to my comment. When it comes to tipping I don't like when all the tips are thrown into a pot and then divided equally. It rewards the server that doesn't do a good job and punishes the servers that are great.
What an amazing trip. Nice work on the camera angles on the 360 camera. It gave a cool perspective. How long of a selfie stick are you using. We can't wait to get there in a few weeks.

Since you have a Son and his family in Jacksonville,, Why not a side trip up to Amelia Island Florida, Just North of JAX, Our island is one of the most Beautiful Islands on the East Coast (top 5 in the world from Travel Magazine. Amelia is a unique environment.. largest Maritime Forest in the country, Sub -Tropical vegetation and a salt Marsh ecosystem.. plus amazing residents.. our beaches are the best as well.. 18 miles of clean beautiful sand and dunes. the grand kids would love the fishing and boating...best Frank

Good show and yes 10 day is tooo long for us to be away from home.Too many accommodation changes for me......Only so many mountains with snow....5 day vacations plenty......I know now Alaska not on bucket list.....Glad u got home safe and sound.
I am 50, but I never want to get this old or out of it. The thought they think a 15% tip 20 years ago should still be the standard!! I am scared to turn 60. Old people realize, again I say this as a 50 year old, that as the centuries pass prices increase? Feel bad for the youth when old people think they should work for no cost of living increase, BECAUSE US OLD PEOPLE WANT IT ALL
The price of meals has raised dramatically. 15% from 20 years ago is less than the 15% today on today's more expensive meals. Best of luck on stopping the aging process.
I have a quick question about the new HOA laws in Florida, particularly regarding work vehicles in driveways. I'm not sure if this was ever a rule in the Villages since I'm not a resident. I'm curious about the community's general opinion on these changes, though I understand you can't speak for everyone. Oh, and WELCOME HOME KIDS!!! 🎉

The button that controls the direction of the fan blade rotation is on my remote, which is convenient. But sometimes I do accidentally press it.

Its a different world to be out of your regular routine, and I agree with Linda, its hard to come back to thinking about cooking when there are so many varieties of great food you couldn't possibly recreate at home. Thanks for the reminder about switching the fan's direction, Peter. We always forget to do that, though. Solved the scramble, grateful for those folks.
Do many people come to the Villages for life style stays as just a vacation? My wife and I were there last year for a life style and loved it. We’re holding off on moving but would love to come for a vacation.Agape
Yes, many do - I came for a “vacation” in the summer of 2022, booking a lifestyle visit (I was planning on retiring in Arizona at the time), but in less than 24 hours here, changed my mind and decided I had to retire here, and bought a home a few months later - best decision ever!
I too would love to see the Barnstorm reopen - I moved here after Covid, so never had the chance to attend, but I hear it was the best of the three theaters here in TV. I’ve been told that TV does not own or operate the theaters, but they just lease the properties out to private theater owners. Still learning how all that works. Nevertheless, I would love to see movies return to Brownwood. It’s a shame to see that large venue sit empty.
Did Jerry actually say " well we tip if we feel they need it". Who doesn't need more money to pay bills.! Or did a good job..and Jerry nobody's tricking you with adding a automatic tip if you'd just read the ticket when they bring it! This isn't the 70's Anymore.. Your just someone that expects great services but doesn't want to pay today's rates.

@@JERRYANDLINDA I guess “correct” is not the best term at many places the staff is paid a lower standard wage as tipping is pre-factored in to their expected income. Having worked in restaurants when I was young I was amazed how many folks do not tip at all. Love your show…. We’re looking to buy a view home between the 6’s nearer to Sumpter whose theme we prefer. Amazed despite hearing of higher supply of homes how few are available? We’re patient and hope to see you soon.
Good advice on the new golfers. I am also new to, so great information I will put in my memory in the event we do move down there. Holding off on our lifestyle until we decide it is getting close to move. We are renting next year for a couple weeks that will give us a taste. See you when we get there!
