My name is Ksenia.
Greetings to all viewers and guest of my channel.
My biggest passion in life is Jeremy Brett and everything about him.
Hailed as the perfect incarnation of Sherlock Holmes, Jeremy Brett gave Holmes something no other actor had given him before; he gave himself to him.
I love collecting books about Sherlock Holmes, reading and watching classic English detective stories.
I would be grateful for any help.

Dear Ann, thank you for your sensitive heart ♥. I suddenly wanted to feel the touch of cold ❄ snow, beautiful in it's whiteness. So that it will calm down the heat that I feel inside me day and night... This inner pain is tormenting me. I don't like summer because of the heat, which has not stopped for the second month(+35). I understand that the winter theme of my video will seem inappropriate to many viewers. Therefore, I will give some explanation as to why I chose the winter season and not the summer as the plot. Every person has an inner garden... Remember this famous quote from book "Flowers for Algernon": "I feel bad. This is not a disease that a doctor can cure., it's inside, in my chest. It's all empty, as if my heart had been torn out." My inner garden is covered in snow. Winter lives in my heart. The inner state of the soul does not depend on the time of year... It's my birthday in a few days. It's hard to believe, but sometimes you don't even want to celebrate it at all. Birthday is like a personal New Year. You can take stock and make plans. For me, it's actually a sad holiday of true loneliness. I dedicate my new video to our beloved Jeremy Brett. I allowed myself to translate a few lines from a poem by Sergei Ostrovoy. I would like to dedicate these beautiful lines to Jeremy❤ "Because I can't life without you, I write your name with a beam on the snow. On the granite of the mountain. On the canvas of the heights. In every glimmer of light I see you. I paint with flowers. You love flowers very much. This is all for you. This is you. This is you. Here a blue ray of light flashed in the bad weather, This sky smiled with your smile. Here the gardens tremble from dawn and cold. This is all for you. For you. For you. You are in everything. You are always. You are everywhere on earth. On the grass. On the snow. In the light and in the darkness. I run to you, screaming with my heart as I run: - I can't without you. I can't... I can''t..." (please excuse my interlinear translation)

LYRICS OF THE SONG that accompanies the first part of the video. YOU RAISE ME UP When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary. When troubles come and my heart burdened be. Then, I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains ; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas ; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders ; You raise me up - to more than I can be. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains ; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas ; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders ; You raise me up - to more than I can be. There is no life - no life without its hunger ; Each restless heart beats so imperfectly ; But when you come and I am filled with wonder, Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity. Lyrics : Lövland Music : Brendan Graham I take the liberty of adding them here because of their beauty and powerfulness. I hope our Lady Ksenia will not mind this intervention.

@@JoanJeremy95The tune of "You raise me up " began to ring in my head as soon as I woke up this morning 😊 ! Ordinarily, this phenomenon happens only when I myself chose what I want to hear, 😉... I LOVE NOTHING AS MUCH as the vids wich treat of the friendship between Holmes and Watson 💖 ! Your quotes catch the essence of the major aspect of SACD's work : indeed it's sometimes friendship that, more than anything, makes life underable. Unsurprisingly Jeremy had understood that it is this strong platonic bond that needded to be put forward in the Granada series, and he superbly achieved this with his two so amiable l Watsons.
@charlottevairet3453
@charlottevairet3453 Месяц назад
A little below MOJHGAN writes (I apologize for quoting without her previous approval since I can't reach her) : "The relationship between these two Sherlock and Watson is very interesting and thought-provoking, I wish each of us had a Watson, as companion as kind as smart as patient" I would add : Indeed, Watson is never tired of holding himself at Sherlock's side, even if his friend shows unpleasant, sometimes hurtful or simply (seemingly) unresponsive to his attentions. Your are right in everything you say here ! I too would like to have a Watson, but also would like to have the qualities which make a Watson, which enable to BE a Watson: indeed, we often lack of concern for reciprocity in our relationships, and when it comes to the ones we experience as beneficial to us, we may find that we don't reciprocate worthily the people who are selflessly fraternal to us.

I've just rewatched a TV movie, "un coeur oublié", whose action takes place in the mid 18th century and whose heros is the writer, playwright and scientist Fontenelle. One of his friend, Madame de Tencin, is reported to have said to him once, pointing to his chest : “That’s not a heart* you have there ; it’s brains, like in the head.» The movie shows how, aged 95, he discovers that he has one*, thanks to his encounter with a young lady in her 20s. One of the charms of the film is the reconstruction of the language of this time. Strangely (?), the immediate transition from this delight to your video is absolutely natural. It's due to SACD's duo, to our own hero (his name, 😉 ?) ... and to our Ksenia who is as sensitive, thoughtful and delicate as the Isabelle from "un coeur oublié". Merci, mon amie 😊 !

Thank you for your interesting story about the film you watched. Thank you for your atmospheric comment. When I first started making this video, I didn't know that David Burke turned 90 on May 25th. This is a wonderful coincidence. It's amazing that this year, April marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the first episode of Sherlock Holmes by Granada Television. May 25 marks anniversary 90 of the birth of David Burke, the first Dr. Watson. The sage was asked:How many types of friendship are there? Four, he answered. Friends are like food - you need them every day. Friends are like medicine, you look for them when you feel bad. There are friends, like a disease, thay themselves look for you. But there are friends like air - you can't see them, but they are always with you. A person cannot live without air. I love with the most tender love the two Watsons, David Burke and Edward Hardwicke. I believe that somewhere out there, in a parallel world, our beloved handsome Jeremy (Sherlock Holmes) and his detoved, faithful squire Doctor Watson(Edward Hardwicke) are discussing another investigation into a complicated incident. Like a naive child, I continue to believe in miracles.
@charlottevairet3453
@charlottevairet3453 Месяц назад
@@JoanJeremy95 Maybe I should explain myself a little, 😉 : my account of "Un coeur oublié" ("a forgotten about / left out heart") may have seemed a little strange, irrelevant and, to some extent, unnecessary to you, but I purposely made it because, in my mind, its plot, the quote of Madame de Tencin and the personality traits of Fontenelle resulting in the fact that he "never loved", really echoed in those of your vid. Fontenelle's character could be summarised in the quote from "The Greek Interpreter" too : "This reticence [to refer to his relations or early life] upon his part had increased the somewhat inhuman effect which he produced him as an isolated phenomenon, a brain without a heart, as deficient in human sympathy as he was pre-eminent in intelligence. His aversion to women and his disinclination to form new friendships were both typical of his unemotional character". In the TV movie the young lady asks Fontenelle to give her lessons in observing the planets (she has herself "perpetrated" a memoir on the topic). But she's also blessed with artistic skills (she sings beautifully), by which the old man, to his own surprise, finds himself touched. All this leads to the progressive development of a tender and discreet friendship between her and him, whose heart she has, in a way, "risen up" in the last years of his life. Maybe I extrapolated, maybe I made unjustified parallels between the movie and your video, but in my mind, the relation I saw between the two proves that, when "matters of the heart" are concerned, it doesn't matter if a 130 years gap, if a sea between a continent and an island, if a difference in genders and in social establishment or customs, distinguish two stories in a apparently strict way : the feelings of their characters and the restraints they sometimes impose on them can be very alike, and so can it be in real life ... I would have liked to hand over the link to the TV movie so that you can judge by yourself, but the English subtitles are so bad that I renounced it ... with regret. Thank you so much 🙏 for the truthful considerations of the sage : they give to think in a beautiful way.
@JoanJeremy95

@@charlottevairet3453 Are you talking about the French writer Bernard Le Bovier de Fontenelle? He was an amazing person and lived to be almost 100 years old. Thank you for telling me this story. What is the name of the movie watched ? Please forgive me if I did not quite understand your thinking. If I understood correctly, then you drew a parallel between Holmes's reserve towards women. And the dispassionate cold attitude towards women of Monsieur Fontenelle. How did Holmes treat women? He was polite with women, he could notice whether a lady was beautivul of not, but he did not show any special emotions. In the story of Charles Milverton, Sherlock noticed: " A true gentleman should not think about taking risks when a woman so desperately needs his help." And I'll also quote Watson's phrase about Sherlock: " He did not like women and did not trust, but he always treated them with chivalrous courtesy."

With great gratitude, I also want to dedicate this video to the wonderful, talented British actor David Burke. On May 25, 2024, David Burke celebrated his 90th birthday. Finding your best friend is the greatest luck in life... "His amazing character was made up of two founations. It often occurred to me that his insight, stunning in its precision, was born in a struggle with the poetic thoughtfulness that constituted the main feature of this man. He constantly moved from complete relaxation to extraordinary energy. I knew well with what thoughtless calm he devoted himself in the evenings to his improvisations and notes. But suddenly a hunting passion seized him, his characteristic brilliant power of thinking increased to the level of intuition, and people unfamiliar with his method began to think that in front of them was not a man, but some kind of supernatural creature.” "It was worth the wound, it was worth many wounds, to know the depth of loyalty and love that was hidden behind this cold mask. @@charlottevairet3453Lately I haven't been able to shake the feeling that I'm making these videos for myself. I remember that I already raised this topic. There is almost no specific plot to this video. In the first part of the video, I intentionally have a lighter, more hummable melody. I didn't want the whole video to look pessimistic, with a sad ending. Of course, I understand that due to the lack of technical capabilities, all my videos become similar to each other due to the design style. No, I don't want to consider this video a farewell to Jeremy. I stubborny believe that the human soul is immortal. That for an immortal soul there are no such concepts as time and distance. No one except God knows when our life's journey will end. This can happen at any time. Perhaps that is why I hasten to make my small tribute in order to thank Jeremy for making many people happy. I'd like to work on this additional comment first (instead of writing it down here directly) because I want it to be done as well as possible. That's why I need a little time. So, please, juste ve a little patient, 😉🙏. Maybe, there will be a mail too For the time being, I just would like to say that I fully share what you write from "for an immortal soul there are no such concepts as time and distance". 💪☘️🌹.

@@charlottevairet3453 Dear Charlotte, thank you very much! Your words calmed and warmed my heart. This is not an exaggeration, this is exactly the case. You understand the meaning of my videos like no on else, and this is of great value to me. You are right, there is something special about this video that is hard to describe in words. I titled my video somewhat incorrectly. It was necessary to reverse the words Sublime and Earthly. Because the first part turned out to be lighter, with earthly joys. This video turned out to be a kind of summing up of other videos dedicated to Jeremy-Holmes. When I watch this video, tears well up in my eyes...I don't know how this feeling can be described in English. In the Russian language there is a wonderful word "Неизбывность". It is impossible to translate it into a another language without distorting the meaning. This is the property or state of being unable to get rid of something. It is precisely this feeling of sweet longing for the past that nothing can be changed that cannot leave me... Please don't worry, I will wait for your reply as long as necexsary.😊🌻💖
