Yes it was really that bad, the writing was terrible, the pacing was terrible, the character decisions were terrible, the finale is the only reason people are defending this season, and honestly the finale is quite flawed
Im very ambivalent about this scene. On one hand, at this point of the story I don't want any of the participants die so suddenly and without proper cause, on the other hand, it's baffling to me that a fight like this can happen with everyone shrugging their shoulders and walk away. Like imagine if in season 1 hl wouldve sent 2 members of the 7 to wipe out the boys... Bodies wouldve been dropping on both sides for sure. Having this in mind this was a goofy ass scene
I liked this season and it fits well into The Boys, but I believe they should have stalled releasing this season so it would release within 6 months of S5, or at least closer to Gen V S2. It feels like finishing a movie half way through
As a guy we're often told we are not allowed to call out a person's appearance. But when it comes to influential people showing our kids that they're in pursuit of unattainable standards - like through body dysmorphia - are we not supposed to say something to stop it? And how do we teach our own kids that they are fine the way they are? How do we point do we say this is a negative for society and speak out against ultra skinny carved up faces without critiquing a woman's appearance?
I hate starlight last two seasons....she thinks shes better than everyone while she was the one who is baby killer and bullied all girls in any competition....she was the worst.
Loved the subtle jabs at Marvel and Disney but my favorite line of them all was "And we'll be showing this to you all in _exhaustive_ detail". Didn't even try to hide the roast 😂
The boys season 4: a review Ideas 7 Execution 2 Anomalous factor -100 The boys season 4 is a pile of hot garbage for 90% of its running time. Most episodes follow this formula. Light Plot %5 Total time waste 85% Garbage polictal message 5% Actaul relavent Plot 5% You could have an episode last under 8 mins and it would be functionally identical. First 3 mins and last 5 basically cover it all. Characters-delivery They have turned into chaticatires of themselves. Mother always nodding head and talking out the side of his mouth Hughie always super compassionate followed by turbo gore Starlight scowling and shocked. Butcher...just terrible. Characters- written Very good. Homelander demonstrates he is in love with himself rather than Ryan and that he is a child in his execution and planning Butcher. Fails to live up to what his wife wants and manages to start a genuine redemption Ryan. Echos of his father and mother are battling. Deep. Just great. Last episode sets things in motion and leave wanting more, good cliffhanger. Shame about 90% though.
breakdown with episode 8 of the boys finale. We see the fruition of Homelanders plans come about but was it all worth it in the end? Main Channel: / @eckhartsladder 2nd Channel: / @eckstoo Star Wars Clips: / @ecksclips Intro/Outro Music: Home - Resonance
MM knew full well they were going to protect the president and it was very likely there would at least be an attempt on his life. He consciously made the choice to wear that shirt
3:38 Re: He breaks when they're about to donate money to BLM: 1. They need to give the "woke" BS a rest! ... It RUINS EVERYTHING _(look at all things Disney)_ 2. BLM was a SCAM - from the get go ... "Weird" how everyone continues to turn a blind eye to how Cullors and others - made PERSONAL BANK off that obvious GRIFT!
Why do you say that Ryan has not been tested by Vought? He was in Vought's disposition almost all his life (until Becka died). And I suspect that he is also Vought's project, just like Homelander was (probably planned as an alternative or weapon to destroy Homelander). Becka says Homelander raped her, but I think they will reveal that she agreed to Vought's plan as the only possible way to defeat homelander.
Don't forget disney doing a similar thing for tax right offs. They yanked series that have no physical media off disney + so if you liked one of the series they yanked you have no way to watch ever again
Usually when I see that someone doesn’t like the boys season 4 it doesn’t take long to figure out the REAL reason why. Just have to figure out if they’re right wing / red pilled / brainrotted or not.
@@alatus_knight There’s plenty to criticize. Like the Frenchy plot being pointless or the pacing feeling off. Or weird plot contrivances. But that’s not why the animals I’m referring to dislike the show now.
@@James-kv3ll there were many pointless side plots, kimiko and shining light, hughie's mom, frenchie's boyfriend, etc. Also, the first 3 episodes were paced terribly and barely moved the plot forward. The boys going to kill neuman, and failing, neuman doesn't kill them for some reason. Then hughie goes to record Neuman's conversation and somehow doesn't die to homelander. They keep getting away with their mistakes. And wdym by animals?
@@alatus_knightfacts not to mention Hughie getting SA multiple times and it being played off as a joke along with starlight being shown as the vic because he didn’t figure out sooner making him having to apologize to her I recommend watching savages speaks channel he talks about it heavily but yeah the writers/Kripke fumbled the bag wit that and overall made the slow filler content and much more political season worse and the finale is the only justifying part
