I think Sea of Clouds is a relatively good compromise. For all intents and purposes, it is a dual land. However, it is not also a Plains and Island, meaning that it toes the line even more (arguably at the risk of being underpowered). Daze is fantastic just for the artwork alone.
This was part of a really powerful cycle. The white one made all your creatures indestructible for a turn, black one exiled a creature, red one changed the target of a spell or ability, and green one prevented all damage your opponents would deal this turn.
Nice one, I was thinking if there was some obscure free counter spell, but I guess the stigma placed on blue players in commander I've seen online accounts for why Fierce Guardianship gets overlooked on purpose by some.
Des can you make a functional deck that can win games with all of the OBA cards? You do not have to use all of the cards but only cards in the the oba card list. I will allow upto 8 color fixing lands but you can not have more than one with the same name.
1:00 so out of place chatterfang would like a word with you, as would ajanis entire tribe, the viashino, loxodons, ainok, nezumi, foxes, rabbits, raccoons, nantuko. anthropomorphic animals have been part of of MTG for decades my dude, how is an entire plane full of them shocking for anyone? how is this controversial at all? put anthro rats and foxes in kamigawa and no one cares but have a plane with no humans and suddenly everyone loses there minds?
I thought the tree sounded bonkers, but you're right. Nykthos goes by devotion, which means your creatures can contribute more than 1 to it, and all your enchantments or whatever can also add to it. Not just a narrow subset of your creatures.
If the flavor text "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. Oh you know my mother " doesn't show up on a card from this set we riot 😂😂
Party gift is op for a uncommon its either a blink for you or a exile for your opponent or you can reclaim a stolen creature at the cost of a 1/1 token ???? OK
What drives you to keep making magic content? I’m not a hater, ur an OG who got me into the game, I just feel like more about the game makes you upset than makes you happy to play it. I can’t say I’m happy with the direction Magic has gone, Fortnitification and such lmao, but the play patterns and game mechanics still seem interesting to me. Just asking questions
They are attempting to acclimate us to the return of the nephilim! Do not be tempted by strange flesh! But really this whole set is just them being upset they couldn’t do a universes beyond of Redwall.
Bruh, if you look at the effort put into getting rid of them, something tells me they're not going to be allowed to come back. Stop reading dumb fan fics on the internet.
That actually is a proper use of Elemental, but its pointless. The sentence means exactly the same thing with or without the word elemental. Its used to mean the stolen egg with be an element of the story, which is stupidly obvious when you consider that it is a thing that is in the story... Also the rest of the wording is weird to, like they say the stolen egg of the owl could be part of your collection in the form of the deck box? but the deck box is not an egg, its magic vines or something, so that's not even accurate. plus the proper noun Great-Night hyphenated is weird, I'm expecting it to not be anywhere as cool as is sounds. I'm thinking like the Great Aurora, but that's expecting way too much, its probably just the title of the owl despite being a specifically hyphenated word.
Bloomburrow feels more Magic than Outlaws of Thunder Junction, or Streets of New Capenna, or even Neon Dynasty. Definitely more so than any universes beyond crap, except for DnD. This will be the first set I'm even remotely interested in this year. I'm glad this style is coming back.
