I MAY NOT RECOVER! I tried to play him twice in a row , and got him picked away from me! Like thats just the world telling me not to play, its uninstalled for the time being...
I vibe with this pretty well. You give me inspiration to keep putting my madness to paper, even if no human has been born to comprehend its potential usefulness yet. That "let's go do other cool shit" thing is pretty real. Once the thing is done, it's up to others to take it towards something more and more useful.
Made a vazi deck recently so this video popped up in my recommended. First time watching your channel. Loved the decklist and your content as a whole. Genuinely one of the most entertaining deck tech videos I've seen. Hope you continue making more stuff like this :)
Gotta say, I love your videos! From the unedited stuff to the goofy bits its very.. comfy, very human. I quite like it and look forward to more. While I don't plan to build vazi currently, I have heard good things and like your build! Ps while i don't chug coffee normally, on the run it can be nice especially when its cold outside.
Been thinking about doing a "group hug" but with things like Vazi, and then Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker. So I help people play the game, while I get to play the game for them playing the game. All the hug stuff but all the "if your opponents so much as sneezes you get something" effects too.
I once combined humans with enchantress with +1/+1 counters. Katilda, Dawnhart Prime let me tap my enchantresses to cast more enchantments. Both my humans and my enchantments worked together to buff up my team with counters. However, my turns took a super long time, even sometimes without my enchantress strategy showing up.
Honestly thats my favorite part, and what draws me to commander. I built my optimus prime deck which was horse tribal, and it will always be one of my all-time fave decks.
Showing not one but 2 creatures that mess with the bottom of your library with power >2 for Grenzo felt like treason to the Grenzo player that I am </3 For those reading the comments : Junktroller, Hoverstone Pilgrim, Canal Dredger or even Murderous Rider are far more interesting since they can also come "naturally" while digging with Grenzo. For scrying I'd recommend Lost Legion, Phyrexian Vivisector, obviously Vicsera Seer, and Bronze Walrus, which is also a mana dork, a valuable thing in Rakdos !
Can't think of any commander more unique than Mairsil. He grants a home to a slew of unplayable card with really bad manacost and/or drawbacks but insane activated abilities. Also cards with super good activated abilities that you normally would give away, just stick 'em on Mairsil. Not my best deck by a longshot, but definitely the most original.
Neva, Stalked By Nightmares is a 2WB human noble 2/2. She has Menace, and ETB she puts a creature or enchantment back into your hand. Her other ability is whenever an enchantment I control is put into the graveyard from play, put a +1/+1 on her and scry 1. At first it seems like her abilities kinda nonbo with eachother, one incentivizing repeated blinks while the other incentivizing her remaining on the board consistently. What i see instead is a value generated from other players' threat removal. Destroyed my grave pact? Great, I buff and scry. Killing my commander? I flash in Fungal Fortitude, which puts her back on the board, which nets me Fungal Fortitude again. Kaya's Ghostform or Gift of Immortality are essentially infinite, and card-positive with Elesh Norn the Mom, or the mono-white Gandalf. Also its really funny putting those "enchanted creature gets -3/-3" type auras on your opponents creatures to have them immediately die and give you the scry and buff value, or playing Inevitable End and watching as they calculate how valuable their enchanted creature is versus the value I get from it's sacrifice. I love Neva.
I heard of a phrase, "i dont mind when people see me, but i dont like being perceived." I think simic is made for people who want to "feel smart," but mtg was made/designed to make feel people feel smart. Once people figure that out things get easier.
One pro tip from a decade+ edh player. Proxy before you buy when building new decks. I have spent more than I'd like to admit to put new decks together to then realize cards didn't quite feel correct in the deck and were replaced or the deck wasn't my vibe or good and didn't need 40% of what I purchased to put it together.
This was nice seeing someone else make decks and then you decided to take the ones you didn't like apart and kept looking for new ones to enjoy, I make decks for my friends that they enjoy but I have a really hard time keeping the ones I build for myself
I’m a newer player and just wanted to ask the community, For the Xyris Deck should I include any cards that allow infinite hand size such as reliquary tower?
This video kinda makes me want to make one of my one! I think it would be SUPER interesting to see what kinds of decks I like playing! I used to say that I was a Simic or Bant player, but some of my most fun games have been using Rakdos colors to do some INSANE turns stuff! But those decks also rely HEAVILY on colorless cards, so maybe I'm a colorless player? Might just have to see for myself what the numbers say!
Oh man. Seeing someone else play Alaundo is so great. I built him as a Simic Storm Deck because I am a red player at heart. And as an ever hater of Simic. It just tickled my little red brain to play the most non-red red deck I could play.
I am a secret Naya player, I thought I was blue white (I was never really control, I'd go agro flying) Godsire was like the first mtg card I seen. The art alone was awesome. Made 60 card deck around him Simic, Dimir and Golgari, don't really play. I had two first cmdr really, Sydri artifacts and King of Kjeldor self harm. I like the underdogs in most things, so white is my mono fav. I like the cantrips it has. Settle the Wreckage is something I have in all my white decks.
I'm going to be honest here, I was just death scrolling RU-vid for commander ideas You have just netted a subscriber and a happy customer All of these are absolutely brilliant build arounds that I overlooked in my attempt to find the next cedh staple So thank you!
