Man, don't ever stop doing your lists -- there are tons of channels that all do some version of "top sales" & "trending books" list every week, but your carefully curated lists are the *only* vids where I don't see all the same 10 books over & over again!
That’s the goal. I was a little worried with this one, as I know I’ve talked about a couple of these books in the past, but I feel like it’s been long enough since or that there is something new to talk about with them. I definitely appreciate the feedback!
Yes sir! Crime Patrol became Crypt, War Against Crime became Vault, Gunfighter became Haunt, Saddle Romances became Science and Moon Girl became Fantasy!
Great video ! I love these top 10s every time ! In particularly I really like the recommendations for FF 25 (awesome cover and minor key) and Weird Fantasy 13 (cool cover and first EC issue) !!
These were some amazing books. I am happy that I have many of them. The one that has alluded me the most that I would love to pick up is that Furst black widow. Her evolution in Marvel comics has made it a sleeper and a book that everyone should add to their collection.
It’s crazy how cheap that book used to be! TOD57 too! There were a lot of B and C tier heroes whose first appearances were criminally undervalued pre-MCU.
That’s awesome! Welcome to the channel. I’m glad you enjoyed the content. The channel’s fourth anniversary is coming up next month, so there is a decent sized library of videos for you, if you choose to take a trip back into the past couple of years!
Great list. I am just wanting my last few grail books, Primer#2,TMNT#1, Hulk#181, X-Men#1, Amazing Fantasy#15 and Batman#1 1940,then my comic collection is complete.
Great Lists! Super informative! I had a few questions. 1- can you do a video on some Comics to look for in the dollar bins etc That are really worth say $15+? 2-I collect Showcase comics Mostly minor keys or bigger keys in lower grades. In your expert opinion Do you feel that these books will appreciate in the long term? 3- now that a lot of books have come down in price by 50% or more. Can you do a video Even if it is just a shorts to point out some comics That you think are a good long term investment? Not asking for investment advice We all must all do our own research. But I am looking for some Ideas to investigate. Thank you for a Great channel!!
Well I really curious too see where Batman 2 goes it’s somewhere between zero year and no man’s land. I’m firm believer that too best heros too invest are Bat and spidey. Unfortunately flash isn’t there yet even with amazing covers top rogues being generational character.
Your information regarding weird fantasy and weird science is incorrect. Bill Gaines stated himself that the horror titles actually carried the science fiction titles. That is why the two were merged together to create "Weird science fantasy "in those comic books of the day they would state that EC is proudest of their science fiction books.(even though their sales were lowest)
I was referring to their values on the secondary market, after their initial release. Apologies if that wasn’t clear in the video. Thanks for watching!
Are you saying to hold on to weird fantasy books? I think you maybe eight but I’m being pressured to auction off my EC collection. I just don’t know what to do. Maybe keep the science fiction stuff and sell the horror! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your vids
I would say that depends on what your goals are. If you’ve enjoyed the books and are ready to let them go and have something you want to do with the money you get from the sale, it’s a good time to do that, particularly on the horror side. Values are still rather strong on that front, but the sci-fi issues are still doing fairly well too. I don’t see an advantage in holding onto one group vs the other. That said, if you are only considering selling your EC runs because someone is pressuring you to, I would ask: What’s in it for them? Why do they care if you sell or not? The call is ultimately yours, but outside of a direct need or want, if I were in your shoes, I would be holding my EC collection.
If invincibles print run was larger than walking dead why is the census significantly lower than walking dead 1 ? Based on what I've seen invincibles run was less than the walking dead print run.
Walking Dead was a cultural phenomenon for several years, which helped pushed a large number of the harder to find, early issues to be graded. Invincible does have a devout following, but it hasn’t achieved the level of notoriety or interest that TWD has.
@@CoMoComicBooks I would agree, the fan based for walking dead was the highest ever since game of thrones. But since the decline of both shows their popularity has decended as well as the value of walking dead books. Invincible has a growing following now that increases as they are releasing content which has show its not the same for every show. The boys although a entertaining show isn't moving books like Invincible is. But what I originally commented on was the difference in print runs as it translated to the cgc census of both titles. Invincible currently has significantly less 9.8s and no 9.9s on the cgc census where as walking dead has significantly more 9.8s and over a dozen 9.9s.
If you wanna invest in comics, Don't invest in Marvel other than the 1961-1963 era.. Stick to Golden Age for investment as well as a diversified stock portfolio, Roth IRA and Bitcoin
There are plenty of opportunities outside of 61-63, but the overall theme of your suggestion is accurate: diversify. Don’t put all of your eggs in the Hulk 181 basket. Thanks for watching!
HURRY GUYS, BUY THESE NOW....BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! THESE ARE GOING TO THE MOON OVERNIGHT! SO GET ON IT NOW!! ASAP! EVERYTHING IS RISING SO FAST, THERES NO TIME!
Title is just a hold over from when the series started. If you watch my videos, you’d see that I RARELY ever, if ever, tell people to buy anything. Collect what you like. Buy what you want. Feel free to watch the video before you comment next time.
