These things are actually a STEAL right now. I used to HATE these things for not being SLS's, but with the new GT coming out (and how weird it is) I've realised how much there is to love about these things. And in the world of every equivalent porsche ever going for 120K, these things are a steal. This Gentleman went ahead and put a SBC Chevy Engine into a Car that , according to to that leftist Idiot Nader, is so dangerous that it is a danger at any speed. Nader, a Man with NO Automotive education and NO driver license at the time. Chevrolet made a significant change in the Corvair in 1965 using the same suspension components as the Corvette Stingray. This with exception of the springing itself. I would like to have seen Him use a ‘65 up “ late “ chassis.
The coolest thing about the corvair was that they were rear engines. Swapping it to front engine, putting an autozone skull shift knob on it and painting it the color of a hearing aid, in my opinion isn't ideal, however it is still a pretty car nonetheless and does sounds good.
to me it looks like a backyard build, the paint job and body work dont look good, lot of wibbles. and the cowl says it all about the paint job cause its to hard to sand and buff it
