I had never thought about it but I definitely prefer analog to digital. The closest thing to a digital watch I own is the G-Shock GA2100 which is an Ani-Digi display. It's hard to pin down a favorite in my watch collection but I think it would be the Hamilton Khaki King if I had to choose. It's nice enough and low key enough to wear in a business setting but it's also still a field watch so works well with any outdoor use and it's pretty tough so I'm not particularly concerned about wearing it anywhere.
@@SigogglinJack I have enjoyed it quite a bit over the years. I like the day/date at 12 on the Khaki King and the polished bezel making it at least a little dressy but the regular khaki field has twice the water resistance and a bead blasted finish that's undeniably utilitarian so you can't go wrong either way.
I ordered one a couple days ago .i have some SAKs .im gonna try to carry it .i like the magnifier and the pliers. Its mostly the blade that i use though. I don't know if i will like it but it is definitely a super cool little gadget.
Yu-yake translates roughly to “evening glow,” referring to the sunset. I think. 😅 Sunburst is pretty close! Classy looking pen, I think! I like the ink combination.
Great Video! I have had budget watches over the years and they always break of the battery dies - so I gave up and bought a Citizen Ecodrive. Not so expensive at the time about £120. It's lasted about 5 years so far... hopefully will go on fo longer
I Love my timex and would be my fav but I’ve been using a Garmin Tactical for work recently manly for its basic smart features they mean I don’t need to get my phone out on a building site if i get a text :) That said on a weekend I love going to one of my Timex
For all of the years I worked as a veterinary technician, an analog watch was the most essential item I put on, in the morning. I used it to calculate an animal's cardiac and respiratory rates. Those watches were part of me. I'd try to leave it off when I was on vacation but I kept glancing at my arm, throughout the day. I never transitioned to a smart watch. I bet there are people who can't tell time on an analog watch, nowdays. Yours is a nice selection of watches and I enjoyed seeing them. I also like seeing your porch. More videos from there would be appreciated. How's the garden doing?
Thanks Teresa. We had a ton of blueberries and blueberries this year but the rest just did so so. I’m sure you’re right about a new generation unable to read an analog watch. The world is changing fast.
I live in the country, and even tho there are hat retailers that are about an hour away from me, I do all of my hat purchases online because of the the constant threats of the local Zulu warriors. . So far, I have had to return one because of being too small.
Well you got me to buy the Timex Expedition and it has been my edc ever since December 23. Never expected it to be so robust. I also have a Seiko 5S automatic. Good one too for edc. As for analogue time tellers; it’s what I (you to) started with in school. I think that’s why it’s more appealing and meaning
Time seems more physical with analog. You can relate to the past, present, and future better with analog. This video made me want to collect Timex and Casios. Something very classic about both.
Love that Casio a-158 with gold-ish dial! These are all very cool watches. You’re right, there is something about analog watches that a digital, despite the cool functions, cannot give. So it’s nice to have a bit of both😂! Thanks for this video!
I haven't worn a watch for a very long time but I've noticed that the Timex watches are very popular with EDC and RU-vidrs. Might go and get one myself. I do use the clock on my phone when I'm out but I think it looks great if you have a watch. Great video and I hope you have a great weekend.
Pocket notebooks, amateur radio, and pipes. I'm going to watch a few more. :) I love technology but also enjoy using paper notebooks. I go back and forth but ultimately land on digital. I do use paper notebooks as a scratch pad until I can enter data into my GTD system. Thanks for posting.

I have Ryder's book for years but I've also been looking into Stoicism (especially the Daily Stoic)> I've been listening to and reading Massimo's stuff and have considered this book. Looking forward to seeing/hearing your take. Oh, and I love the mini-bullet journals. It won't fit in my Field Note-sized leather cover though :( just a little too big. Keep up the great work.
You know that A and B sizes are simple to remember, right? DIN A4 is roughly ANSI Letter, fold it in half, and you have A5 which is the standard European cahier size (the counterpart is excercise composition book in the US). B series is Bigger-and-Between the corresponding A size, so passport cover, which is B7 is between A7 and A6. B6 is also a common book size in Europe.
Ive got these on route to me and was wondering how to use them, I like your idea of Pocket for daily and A5 for reflections. Ive got a bunch of Ryan Holiday stoic books to read Ive liked the idea of it but my ADHD always gets me riding other stuff todo rather than read lol

I’m glad they sent these to you so I can see how you’re going to use these in tandem for a project. I watch your channel so I can see things used for something practical. So looking forward to seeing your monthly updates worked in with your other content. When it came out I thought it was a bit pricey & didn’t see the need for a special genuine official Bullet Journal booklets as I’m happy with the graph grid & dot grid pocket notebooks I’m using. However, I do think that one with the extra guidebook that explains how to do it & use it would be good for a beginner, or a gift for a beginner. And, yes I too used various preprinted planner calendars over my working years, & agree there were too many pages wasted with stuff I didn’t need/want & couldn’t figure out how to repurpose.
I see a growing number of friends and vloggers on stoicism. Almost feel fomo about it. Wish you lots of wisdom and pleasure using both the beautiful journals and the workbooks.
Very interesting. I was reading about the Bullet Journal company a few weeks ago and looking on their website. It all looks very good. I always love finding similar interests with others who are in the planning community! I started to learn more about philosophy in a general sense last year, and this year I've decided to delve more into Stoicism. As someone who lives with several mental illnesses that can really mess with my moods and the stories that my brain will tell myself, I feel that Stoicism is a great way to help me focus on how things really are and let go of that which truly doesn't serve me. Thank you! I like stoicism for its very practical approach. Interesting to find out how much CBT is grounded in stoic philosophy. It’s certainly helped me understand and manage my anxiety my more unhelpful thought patterns. Have a great day as well!

Id love to have a wider range of edc Knives but UK laws are a little restrictive with size and locks. I get away with them while working as they are tools lol
That’s too bad. There’s a few cities here that are pretty restrictive but where I am it’s fairly open to what we can carry. Both knives and guns as well.we have very little crime too.
