I need some advice - When I assumed my tub of phallus jealous was fully colonized (12 days from bulk), I put it into fruiting conditions. I wasn't seeing any pins but I was also not seeing much change after about day 9, so I decided to go to the next stage. I am only 5 days into fruiting, and I know I shouldn't expect any pins yet but the mycelium is now "colonizing" the casing layer. I don't know what to make of this. Normal? Is this a sign that it wasn't fully colonized and not ready for fruiting? Should I just chill and let the process play out?
I have two different genetics Phobos and golden halos two of my favorites. I had the same genetics for two years must’ve took them 50 different times when I don’t feel like having a body load I Take the Phobos I never have a body load no matter how many times I take it. The golden halos give me a body load, but also there’s certain things i like about it now every golden halo and Phobos will be different because they’re different genetics but my genetics been consistent and they’ve been from the same genetics and also the Phobos or super visual where the golden halos are more headspace
Seriously thank you you have answered a lot of my questions and giving me a lot more information first Time mushroom grower here and I thought the bluing on my mushrooms was possibly mold. But it's taken a week to start developing the bluing on some of my mushrooms and not anything like that and doesn't look anything like cobweb mold but still learning a lot. I totally understand the bullying and psilocybin but just want to make sure that wasn't mold and it doesn't seem like it at all. I also learned that the furry stuff around the bottom of the mushrooms means they're not getting enough air that taught me a valuable lesson to give more airflow. I also use 50 CC's per grow bag and let's just say when they did start a flushing and fruiting holy crap holy crap. Mondo mushrooms😂. Let's just say the first flush was a lot, but live and learn. Used heroin for 20 years because of 8 surgeries and oxycontin, now I grow my own weed and breed seeds ( dont smoke eat it), mushrooms, make DMT, have a kratom tree (dont take kratom anymore just love the plant), bought a alcohol distiller gonna start making alcohol (rarely rarely drink) and grow a lot of my veggies on my own property that is thankfully paid off (super grateful!). I microdose daily and have turned two family members on to it one is 48 and other 82 😄. Any other food I get at our local food bank which is stocked from trader joes and Costco so it seriously kicks ass. Right now I have two already once flushed spawns soaking in water for 12 hours to see about another flush, who knows either way I'm learning and failure is usually a great teacher also. I'm gonna look into ways of keeping spores for long term and to use later. I used to do tech work in a lab so know a tiny bit about agar and petri dishes sterilization etc. Thank you for the vids and God bless you 🙏

I always mist the sides that are shrinking until the gap is full . I never thought of a syringe. I just mist real close to the wall . I've learned a lot from you. Thanks for the education
They taste better but have a strong bitter aftertaste. 1g is pretty damn strong. The equivalent of 5g is going to be a different experience from cubes, so it is impossible to directly compare.
this has been my problem as a beginner, i get huge pin sets and they drain all the water out of the cake causing a lot of aborts and cake bruising, I now have a couple of large syringes to directly inject the cake
I had an idea suddenly, what if you drilled a hole on a bottom corner of the tub, put either a injection or or sealant in it. Then you can put the needles into that, and not even have to that the needle in and out, that way you can use the luer lock to your advantage over n over and not be introducing contaminants?
I recently did a microdose 0.7, my anxiety was so high that my blood pressure shot up to 207 over 190, not a good experience at all except I had awesome visuals with my eyes shut. Im 70 yrs young, so it was my first time in over 40 yrs since I last consumed any. I'm glad my wife was with me to help calm me down. Now I'm pretty much gunshy, but I don't want that to deter me from trying again. I'm sure I probably did more than I should have or maybe my scale was inaccurate which leads me to ask if you or anyone can suggest a good scale ⚖️ , thank you in advance.
Hey Jersey, 0.7g is not a microdose unless you took fresh mushrooms. That is a threshold dose, and for many that is more uncomfortable than fully tripping. By micro dose I’m talking about 0.1g or less, if you’re feeling it then you took too much.

Should golden teacher's be black inside when they are small say 2cm height ?i got sum that seem to have stopped growing and they look dark inside and a dark cap ?
24 hours after I checked my tub I had a decent sized massive fluffy area in the corner of my tub. 2 weeks into the tub colonizing it was growing up the side of the tub. I immediately scooped it out. Came home today 24 hours later again and the area next to where I removed that another one popped up. I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide and some of it dissolved some didn't. So I sprayed the entire tub this am. I hope I don't have an issue since this is my first grow and I've been on this for 2 months since I started with spores. So it would suck to be shroomless after 2 months.
failure is the key success, keep trying man. most people give up after one failed attempt but this hobby requires some time and trial and error and i promise you will find results if you stick with it
Ya bro failure is just part of Learning. My first grow was a few months ago, it was GT and I was able to get 2 flushes out of 2 shoeboxes, when those got trich I decided to try and grow 4 diff strains and well here I am now and I haven’t had a successful grow since. I went a month waiting for jars of oats to colonize and only ONE out of 7 quart jars colonized. I had to g2g transfer to another 4 quart jars and they colonized. Spawned them and I think all of them have cobweb mold but idk cuz I can’t find another vid that looks like how my substrate looks. I might have another month wasted. Super frustrating but the end is always worth it
Each cannabis seed is going to have different characteristics and genetics. They are only the same if you back pollinated a clone with the parent plant, by inducing hermaphroditism. The same way spores do or animals,the children are not identical and most strains are not what they are labeled as, especially at dispensaries.

I started watching your videos to unearth some of my old knowledge and to say good work buddy your very informal I’ve recently started growing (pan cyan Florida) a grow a kit I received will be taking some clones and prints to make a colony 😅 wondering would it be possible if you could share a video on (pans) a low tech method without pasteurisation and sterilisation apparently you can do this with moist cardboard with spore print on Once you see mycelium cover with poplar or aspen and then covered with wood chips or leaves kept very moist apparently it will fruit But my main question to you is how many (grams dried) did you receive out of one flush from the ttbvi thank you 🙏 ☮️
Have this going strong but maybe stalling. Stalled in bag, moved to tub with perlite and sitting on top of foil. Perlite is wet, humidity and temperature is great. Spray twice daily but appears dry. Guess I need to mist heavier or add water to Perlite again? Any ideas anyone

@MycoSage I don't understand Colorado decriminalized. Mushrooms, why can't you teach people how to do it safely? I love your content and I wanted to ask you. Have you ever tried growing mushrooms in animal feed corn? I tried last year and it's Did really well the only way I'm growing them now. It work, so good.
I'm an old-schooler and remember there is a trick to bring potency to the highest level by adjusting sulfur content and utilizing an electric shock at a high amperage and voltage to the substrate to initiate pinning. Also they like to listen to Bach.
I don't believe they're made up of different species. Just different genetics. Where liquid culture or agar wedges are actually a clone of one specific fungi or mycelium. Some people believe it makes a difference, they could be correct. I've always grown from spore syringes so idk. I know the spore syringes I made were very close to equal to the ones I bought. Everyone left you hanging for 3 months, so figured I'd try to answer. I'm no mycologyst, but have been playing with fungi for over a decade. Fun fact: when I first started I was growing gt in the basement of a party house. The kids/teens left clothes in the basement that got damp. Before long there was long skinny mushrooms growing everywhere. To look at them, you never would have guessed they were gt.
The couple times I did it I went for the trip. Just tried probably 0.5 to test my yield cause I have work tomorrow, just wanted to get an idea of potency. I'm not tripping, but I can tell there is a difference. A couple times it felt like I might start tripping a little but then died off. But definitely feel the euphoric effect. Not as much as on a trip but definitely there. If I took it to .3 maybe a little lower, I'm thinking I'll have the "happy effect" without any feeling of starting to trip. I never thought it would really work though cause they say your tolerance hits the roof after a trip and you gotta wait a while. But maybe it's small enough that you dont really build a tolerance? I dont believe stuff like shrooms are bad because you can trip on them. I think they are bad because big pharma knows it can help. But would rather have people dependant on them instead of being able to grow your "medicine" at home. They want your money, and will change laws so that you have to go through them. Greed is disgusting, and ruins any chance of working together.
I think I see what your talking about now, even at .5, and it not being very intense. I still went on the path the mushroom gives you, just more timid, I still felt the journey, but it wasn't as intense a trip. I'm very curious about taking a lower amount like .1 or less.
I didn't have enough experience, but it makes sense to me. Being made up of the same thing, just different amounts of them like weed. It's all weed, but different strains have different effects right? So I'd image its the same with shrooms.

When growing Panaeolus cyans the bigger ones like in the thumbnail below this video! Big white ones! I colonize the cake first then add a casing layer? Or add a casing layer at the same time I make the tub?
This is what i figured/hoped was going on. Heavy pinset, 95+ humidity yet it looks dry every time i take the top of for fae. Every 6-8 hours. My casing doesnt look dry, just dont have that glistening of water droplets across the top. My worry was that if i continue to mist, more pins will form. I dont want too many pins to form that they abort and I get a lot less fruit.
