Its fine. Like its snake eye and the build is on no handtraps, but the non engine is great at picking apart the board anyway. However the main reason its fine is spright has a lot of otk lines, so snake eyes follow up theoretically doesnt matter. You either end the game turn 2 or dont.
The basic combo line for going 1st: Any lvl 2 + any other monster > make sprind Sprind eff on summon dump angler from deck > new chain, angler eff > special 2 beavers from deck Use 1 beaver + sprind > xyz summon gigantic > gigantic eff ss blue > blue eff add jet, or carrot/red if you have jet Ss jet > jet eff search typically starter, or double cross if you play it Use gigantic + any other guy to make i:p (its going to be REALLY important to use gigantic as material due to yubel) Use the other 2 guys to make whatever you want, usually matchup dependent but mannequin cat is a good, generic choice atm due to snake eye, or if youre forced to go first make ninja mosquito to prepare for tenpai. A lot of players also make the melffy xyz to search catty so they can make herald of the arc light on the opponent's turn. For the going 2nd build though the generic stuff will usually get you there. Depending on the hand you want to have access to red as soon as possible, the deck can easily lose to most handtraps on sprind/gigantic. Once you resolve gigantic you can no longer be nibiru'd though.
@@survivorfreaknr I'm new to YGO, why is it important to use gigantic as material for I:P due to yubel? Also why is Mannequin cat a good matchup for snake eyes? I don't understand the real benefit of this cards effects tbh. would be great if you could give me a quick explanation or example. Also how is the combo line for going second?
@@ClintStrickwood if you have a gigantic on board they just need to attack it either 3 or 5 times to kill you with nightmare pain on board (which sounds hard but its not) Mannequin cat gets you to either carrot or red on ss of any snake-eye, providing an interaction to stop them. You dont need to expend any material and you can summon red/carrot from gy as well so its ok to use them as a combo piece against snake eye And this deck excels at going 2nd, its basically the same combo lines but you either kill with mosquito using their big bungus to deal damage or using gamma burst on an open board.
Mostly just trying to find room for the new ice barrier stuff- x2-3 mirror mage, x1 cont. spell, x1 medallion, and x3 swap frog. The deck is still pretty solid, it has a fine snake eye match up and an incredible tenpai matchup.
New ice barrier lvl 2 aqua tuner, if its sent from anywhere to the gy it can search an ice barrier s/t, one of which is a monster reborn. Makes either toad or does the whole combo by itself.
the standard going first combo really hasnt changed while we have had access to harp: girsu/arm knight/grepher > dump harp (if its girsu you can do a bit more but the dump is the most important eff) harp eff > ss knighmare link 2 > galatea > galatea eff target banished harp, shuffle back harp and set the field spell, activate field spell knightmare eff > target galatea, send skeleton xyz summon dingirsu on galatea > ding ef, attach the banished knightmare to it as material skeleton eff > ss girsu from gy link > i:p on opp's turn: knightmare eff, target ip in draw (field spell makes it a quick effect), send harp, act harp on res, ss girsu, send skeleton. later, use skeleton to bring back ding from gy and non-targeting send a card your opponet controls to the gy. summoning girsu allows you to not have to wait to use i:p eff if needed. effectively, 1 normal summon resolving results in 3 interactions (both sp banishes, girsu non-targeting send). the sky striker package is really just there to help extend through drones (which is dark!) and kagari as well as draw deeper, as well as provide extra interaction with your opponent. the skill in the deck is knowing when to use your interactions properly and how to manage your resources. it can grind but its not infinite.
also, as a note: once you have the field spell, you can fairly easily dodge d.d. crow and bystials but are a little susceptable to them until that point.
Hey man, i look every Melodious Deck Profil i can find. But why i no one playing: Fusion Substitute ? This Spellcard is 100% better then normal Fusion Spell. Because this Deck has good line to discard this card for your Link 2 Card Combo plus you can at this card back to your hand because you can use the effect from Tamtam. :D Plus you can draw 1 card when u want. Yeah i know i know when u play pot of prosperity.. u cant draw.. but you can change every match ur game style with this deck. Greats from Germany.
In my opinion it's a little worse than regular poly. While the draw effect is nice, pretty often I won't have a fusion in grave to shuffle back turn 1 because I shuffle back the Bacha. Also, if I do use the effect to draw, I can no longer grab a poly with tamtam, which could be detrimental in the grind game. In addition, some hands you're just not able to fuse solely from field, or your opponent may interact with you where you can't as well. Soprano has that restriction as well so regular poly gives more versatility in effects. I also don't play prospi, I prefer Small World, but even then I think fusion substitute is worse. There are just too many scenarios where it's actively worse than regular poly.
It’s crazy how much manipulation the new support has given melodious in terms of searching or SS cards like Shopina or even grave manipulation. So many ways to build the deck now. Can either be played pure or mixed in with other archetypes like Branded and VV. My personal tech are Foolish Burial and Kristya It is great to see how far this deck has come and it has been 10 years coming for the pure build of the archetype to see serious competitive play.
Correction: You can search Assault Roller with Gokipole. However, if it was just based on the actual archetype itself and not generic insect support, then yes, at the moment it's not searchable.
Doom dozer doesnt effectively do anything outside of extension, and also uses more resources. While aztekipede is also literally an extender, you banish less and make picofalena live a lot easier Not to mention sting lancer and contact c are always better search targets outside of specific scenarios
This is my first deck man, I've looked up so many different variations of this deck and the hardest part has been trying to replace that access code talker. I'll tell you though I've snagged plenty of cards from tcgplayer and have practiced my deck online, hopefully I'll be ready for my first locals 😬
The best replacement in my opinion will always be borrelsword. It effectively accomplishes the same thing in clearing the board. Typically you have enough material to go into Atlas as well so ending the game with borrel is 100% possible.
Unfortunately not that consistent, i would be interested to try to build it again with the new ua support, especially due to new more powerful draw cards.
played against friend's thunder dragon with my trains. made dora and he couldn't get over its 4k defense plus i can use its effect so he couldn't borreload/sword
TD's and Sky Strikers are by far the better match-ups for Trains. Surprisingly Trains can grind out Striker's, and they can just beat over TD's which is hilarious.
As for sky striker, I plan on trying it out, but not until after Savage Strike. Sky Striker's are getting a new link that's earth, which coincidentally works really well with the deck.
Magnet reverse literally does the same thing as xyz reborn. It's also a spell so more use in a grind if you topdeck it and can just go insta into liebe and whatever extra use you could have done with reborn. The extra material is not enough of a benefit imo. Professional and good video and list otherwise.
I found xyz reborn to be fairly versatile. It's more of a going-first recover play, but I do see your point about magnet reverse (which I have yet to test with the deck but it is on my list of tech options). I was more concerned about my opponent outing Dora than bringing back a material for Liebe
