You're like me. I hunt for the sustainment and self reliance, not for trophies. It's a good set of skills to learn, not alot of people know how to live like that if they had to.
@R3clynical I'm not much of a deer killer. Turkey, rabbit, squirrel, waterfowl, and a slew of fish are my usual game. I'd go for venison if I had to though, what holds me back is hauling back a carcass several miles to my vehicle with a heart condition.
That was a straight forward and easy to follow video. I just used the PAUSE buttom. Listen, do then PAUSE. Too easy. Thanks for putting this out. Really appreciate the knowledge. PRIDE OF THE MARNE !
@Jordan-kg2wo the orginal sight did not have a level. It will throw off your ranging and shot placement if you are shooting at a different angle than that you "zeroed" your pins at.
I shoot one too for my first bow youre gonna want to replace the sight I lost my 40 pin after awhile but I have mine modded out and I have a felling the peep is gonna be replaced soon.
Yeah! Either in between the two halves or on the outside of one you tape a sheet down only along one side then flip the sheet up and tape along the underside. This way it's held on front and back along the same edge.
It’s not about having them it’s about it being our right, it should be everyone’s right to own firearms but it isn’t, no matter how often people try to take it away from us it’ll always be our right to own firearms
Well your assuming I'm an arrogant American who thinks we are the only ones. I know plenty of other countries do. However, I happen to be an American, thus the, "This is why I love America".
@@MunitionsGuyMike just travel? You don’t have to look everything up. Some things you can see for yourself. When I go to Iraq it’s nothing but little kids holding rocket launchers 😂 in America you will never see a kid with a rocket launcher just some dumb kid with a Glock switch
Oh, neat. Just got one of these to mess around with while studying for the Technician exam (been putting this off far too long...about time, and my brain's eager for some knew knowledge again after having a break for a bit...) Thank you for this quick tutorial. Makes a lot of sense and appreciate the step by step directions. Now all I need is a frequency list to check out and see if I can listen to effectively. Babysteps. : )
If my vid doesn't hit the mark try ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0wCLbiHvsMg.htmlsi=uLFsK5BDX_O1c2W0 Good video. Also here are the freqs. Channal 1-22 www.rightchannelradios.com/blogs/newsletters/gmrs-radio-frequencies-and-channels
Thanks again for your help . I looking to program those channels 1 -22. I’m using this radio for a Corvette car club. If I still can’t figure it out is there somewhere in Los Angeles to take it and pay someone to program it? Again thanks for all your help.
@williamrichardson6242 you have to edit what the program pulled from your radio to match what ever freqs you want. Plus seetings. Then export back to/write to the radio.
Nice bag upgrade, good choice. Possible suggestions, 1. water source, life straw collapsible water bottle, light weight and minimal. 2. A little bit more food (calories) to sustain you (snack bag).3. Warm clothing, beanie and face cover. 4. Silcock key to acquire water from buildings.
Thank you for this, I'm getting my BF-F8HP tomorrow and I'm hopefully going to pass my technician test the day after...Then I'll hopefully be able to transmit some time in the next week!
Hey dude, enjoyed seeing your setup! Just fyi though, the autofocus on the camera kept going in and out throughout the video so it was hard to watch - not sure if you're aware. Regardless, good stuff shared so thanks!
So I don't like dots/lights on a pistol to begin with! You pointed out another reason dots are a bag idea. Your pistol came with a dot that malfunctioned & it was replaced. Then you don't like the replacement dot, so you buy a new 1. Sounds like throwing good money after bad! But hay, it's got to be tactacool today!
I had a hellcat pro for my edc, but my local gun store got a pre owned sig p365xl spectre comp with a sig Romeo x and they only wanted $999 for it. They let me shoot it first and then I immediately went home to grab the box and all my extra mags for the hellcat and traded it immediately, the rdp is interesting and I was considering it before I got the sig, but I couldn’t pass up on the deal
Sig was my other thought. I was interested in the RDP because it's a small frame with 15+ capacity. The added comp, in my opinion, makes it way less snappy and easier to control with the small size.
I have a Hellcat that I carry when the G19 is to big for the way I am dressed. I have a Swampfox red dot on it. You can use the sights through it but, just barely. Maybe about half of the tritium dot is exposed. I have thought about changing it but, it has been so reliable.
A GMRS/HAM repeater will repeat your broadcast out across a longer distance. The Boafeng and other handheld radios have a limited range due to them being generally line of sight communications. Depending on terrain and other atmospheric factors, you can get 0.5miles to 20/30 miles. Again this depends on line of sight. In my case I'm surrounded by trees and multiple ridges. I can only communication withing the valley for at best a few miles. However, there is a GMRS repeater on to of one of these ridges which I have line of sight with. This is a powerful repeater. If I have the correct frequencys (transmit and recieve), freq offset and CTSS/DTS codes my signal is picked up by the repeater and rebroadcast at along range due to the higher power. With this I have communicationed with people 60 miles away on a small handheld. On this repeater I have heard folks from Hoodsport WA talk to folks in concrete wa. Now in this case they where using vehicle/base station radios with 50w-100w of power.
I know this is a video for people who are already familiar with HAM and even this particular radio, and it is probably very useful but it also shows how this stuff seems overly complex and thus discouraging. I have the same radio and I suppose the same step by step is in the user manual, but in any case I am not at the stage or setting up repeaters. Thanks!
*He's going thru it AS IF you already have experience!!!* *I just got this radio 3-minutes ago!!!* *I'M LOOKING FOR A VIDEO CLIP WITH SOMEONE WITH PATIENCE!!!!* *IF I COULD CREATE, ATTRACT AND MANIFEST AN IQ OF 5000 IN 3- MINUTES.....I WOULD, BUT I WOULD NOT BE MESSING WITH LOW IQ'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!*
This does require a basic working knowledge of radios and GMRS terms. Apologies. Check out this video. It is for beginners. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0wCLbiHvsMg.htmlsi=C-aO9I0lS37FwWDU
Do you find that the Valknut holster has a slight gap between the trigger well and the holster? I’ve seen some pictures but it’s hard to tell. I think the holster is a little wider than the trigger well in order to fit the light. I have the RDP and am looking to add the TLR7Sub. Thanks
