This was a great first issue of this series. Nice seeing Uprising's characters get more depth, like Adelhard. And seeing Yupe Tashu gives me excitement to finally see Gallius Rax in the Flesh. Also like Leia at Vader's Funeral Pyre. It makes sense that while Luke could forgive him, she couldn't..at least for now. It's been hinted that was part of why she hid that from poor Ben Solo, not wanting her son to feel ashamed. Can't wait to see the rest of this series. I recommend the book "Shadow of the Sith". It shows some of Luke's struggle to be a Jedi Master and good uncle to Ben, and shows some of Palpatine's puppetry of the galaxy after his 'death'.
Does anyone else find it hilarious that Alfred Pennyworth is a super spy with retinal scan locks on his hideout that is full of weapons and spy gear and yet, he locks his motorbike up with nothing but a chain lock and doesn't even have an alarm on said bike?
Man the artist actually knows guns. They're doing a better job than the writers and it's easy to tell. Flechets in shotshells generally suck and typically don't penetrate bone. A reduced charge would also still function in a pump action shotgun, where a semi-auto would likely malfunction from the lack of kinetic energy to work the action. So a bunch of batarang shaped flachetes stacked with edges facing down the shell/barrel makes a lot of sense. However if they were stacked with edges facing out towards the sides and had a slight divet punched all facing the same direction, then they could act like cut slugs. Which is why I say the artist is better than the writer. You can't modify how a firearm works to make it nonlethal, they all boil down to mousetraps and a tube. BUT, you can always mess with the ammo and action to run specific types. Especially on shotguns. I still want to see batman deal with accidentally killing someone. All the stuff he does still has a chance to kill one guy who's just a little weaker or more unlucky than the rest, especially with complications.
Dc34 my foot! That's a kel-tec ksg shotgun and the artist knows it. Pump-action bulpup with dual feed tubes. You'd choose it for capacity, compactness, and versatility. But it is still a cheap polymer pump. But Pennyworth is bluffing like he's got a nickel plated fostech origin 12 sbv with an illegal post 1986 machine gun ban modification done.
Thanks everyone for the outpouring of support this video is getting. Be sure to support the creators and grab your copy of Absolute Batman from your LCS!!
Yeah that was a bit weird. "He made it non-lethal." Like, what? Batarangs fired out of a shotgun might be MORE dangerous than shotgun pellets. And he's lucky it didn't hit him in an eye, or in the throat.
A Bruce who actually grew up within Gotham and was friend with what otherwise would be his Rogues Gallery (save for that guy) without massive wealth and Alfred remaining in MI6 being his foil is a wild alternative. Im actually excited.
Dope video, just finished the first issue myself. This is my first time reading comics so I thought I’d start from the first issue! As it’s my first time reading them your insight was greatly appreciated !
Hopefully somehow, through some awesome writing, a fixed version. They haven't done him any justice since destroying the best Legion stories cause DC just could not deal with anyone having any memory of the old Superboy.
Okay am I the only one who thinks the dialogue for Joker’s reveal is kinda corny? Don’t joke around this guy, “HE NEVER LAUGHS AT ANYTHING…” So we call him the Joker 🙃🤡 Like what??? 😭😭😭
