Side channel to my main one Effective December 2020 despite the channel being created way prior I make documentary style "home videos" if you will as well as recover some lost footage This channel mostly combines new scenery with a retro aesthetic....Enjoy!! Analog camcorders vary as well as subject matters of the video.
@@overkill7990 Yes I have. You left another comment I remember but I believe RU-vid deleted it. Just wanted to let you know I was not offended by the last comment. I understand constructive criticism
@@CycloneCordVHS do you have a mail you can share publicy? i did the video i promised you on my little collection. but there's personal info i don't want to share "with the world", so i'll keep the video private. so if you can give me a mail? if not, i'll do some editing and keep video as non listed.
@@CycloneCordVHS that’s nuts, it sounds like it was recorded through a wall. I’ve been watching a few clips from recent Ace shows and then your one popped up. Maybe compare them. An off the shelf iPhone with no external microphone will record far better audio than tech from thirty years ago. And o say that as someone who loved my old Sony 8mm handycam. And 1985 JVC VHS-C before that.
hello, don't know how this could happen, but red is definitely wrong. i think there's no need to "improve" anything, except deinterlacing and upscale for youtube. after all, we love old camcorders for what they are, no need to make them best as they were :)
Video quality is great along with sound quality but colors need tweaking as the red has a pinkish tint. Also there’s a really good deinterlacing method I have discovered and it also upscales video. I’ll tell you more about it.
@@レコーディングスタジオ probably bc I failed to realize my wide lens needed cleaning. It's been left attached to the camera for 5 years without me ever taking it off for the longest time
nice to see. i was wondering if jvc ever released some hi-fi capable compact models in ntsc :) now i know at least 2 of them, the GR-S707 and this one.
I do. Originally I was shy about telling people this but for the time being I've run out of other content I've made with other devices so this is the closest thing I could find for a while.
@@salvatorev_ I did buy from eBay, it was already defective when I got it so I had to ship it off to get it fixed. I'm currently putting together more content from this V801 to upload later.
So people are selling tapes with content on them on eBay! That's logical I guess, but I was surprised to hear it nevertheless! Another element to Hi8 tapes were batches. Even with the same brand and type of tape, there were variations in quality. I only tried TDK once, and the tape I bought was expensive, and also had a lot of dropouts, so I never used TDK Hi8 tape after that. But again, I might have just had one from a bad batch. Like you mention, I had the best experience with Fuji tape.
How am I seeing this a year late? This has everything -- steady hand on the camera, a date, good sound, an unfinished lion head, farewell message at the dunes.
0:55 Not sure if you've seen pictures of what that place looks like now, but oh my God it's sickeningly awful. The hotel is SERIOUSLY vandalized, and I don't even want to know what the casino floor is like.
@@salvatorev_ yes, spent 4 months in the appliance shop tryna find a new CCD board last year (the other one was going bad). Now it's got yet another lease on life. My thing is, I just dont really know how often I should use the V5000 bc I mostly prefer handheld devices like the TR series, the VX etc
Sharp Twincam VL-MX7, and keep in mind it’s been refurbished with new capacitors but it doesn’t record audio properly to tape so I hook it up to either my Sony Video Walkman GV-S50 or my Roxio output on my MacBook. Here, I had the Twincam connected to the Walkman
