Wow wow’s wow how beautiful you have done a beautiful job hopefully all you can get together and have wonderful work day on the shed and the trees and I think mom would be good at planning for dad and the girls to get busy and get the job done so you can go have some fun 😊
So what you do is take asquare and tell frugal daddy we are cleaning this square today. Then in a couple days take another square. It’s the easy way to tackle a big job. Love your garden
Amy, I that real shaded area that doesn't get a lot of sun, try to grow sime "cool" weather crops... With it being shaded, it should be way cooler & you could be ahead for a fall crop of food. For food growing zones, you might recheck yours. A couple of the channels I watch mentiined that the area that they have lived in for years have been "re-zoned" due to "climate" changes. I know that I have been in 8B, but wouldn't be surprised if it was changed - I know our weather patterned has changed, especially the last 5 or so years....
Frugal Daddy, pls pick up junk and take to rubish before you bring any more home... sort it whilst its nice weather...😮 I agree Frugal Mummy, i would be ok for a few days even a week, but after that ..clean it , use it or get rid of it .. NOOOOWWW.... 😊 LOVE YOURE GARDEN X Amy , i just throw and tomato 🍅 that is split back in and i get more and better each year
It's taken me to get to 59 to realise now why? Do I have all this crap in my house that just sits there ... im really ill with a virus and Influenza A... when I get better it's all going ... great haul... got any grapes , we love that song lol
Looks good, except the fact that you lost part of a tree. My dad used to collect piles of things all over our yard too. and he'd say "we may need that some day". Wow, you have a huge property.
Frugal daddy is doing too much road side shopping. I’d make him clean that mess up. You could have a beautiful greenhouse . You are doing great with your gardening. It’s something I love but can’t do anymore. Watching you doing it makes my heart happy.
Nice garden Amy, my potatoes didn't grow, a squirrel we think could be a chipmunk is eating my beans & taking the tomatoes off the vine. It dug up my onion bulbs 4 times now that they are growing they are doing well. My peppers & cucumbers , celery & strawberries & another pot of beans are doing well . 😃🇨🇦
North Carolina is the worst place to have a garden. When we were in Nebraska all you had to do was plant and give it water and it bloomed and grew into what it was supposed to be. Not here! ... California, we had a small yard but what we planted became healthy bushy plants. Not so in North Carolina. Everything we plant has no idea why it is in the soil. It dies or does not produce as it was designed to do. Red soil and odd growth here. I thought because of the trees it would be a good place to have loads of vegetables. We use composed, and nitrates and still. I just had to get that off my chest! The hydrangeas are all over the place and beautiful, but we can't eat them.
You may need to hill uo your potatoes. You soil looks like it needs amending. Any volunteers I've ever had seem to be the healthiest like yours. Compost potatoes are mostly great.
OMG!!!! My hydrangea DREAMS!!!! Those are absolutely gorgeous 😱😱😱😱. Holy cannoli!!! That’s my goal for next year on the new property, planting my most favorite flower ever 🩷💙💜
Hi Frugal Mommy. I loved the garden tour. I really liked how you made the brick walkways. Do you cover your strawberries in the winter? I'm in Central California. I don't cover my strawberries but I do tend to lose some from the cold. Most of my garden this year is reseeded from last year (strawberries, marigolds, lettuce, and 2 types of sunflowers). So far I have harvested some strawberries and a couple of tomatoes. Thank you so much for the tour of your gardens. It really looks like you put a lot of hard work into your yard.
I would have to say frugal daddy you’re not allowed to go out and get any more junk until you’ve tidied up that yard naughty boy good girl frugal mummy for being so patient with them
