Correct, when you loosen the locking screw you can manually pan, tilt, and rotate the camera into the position you want and then tighten the locking screw to lock the camera's position.
Avoid Milesight cameras. They constantly focus hunt, especially at night. They fill up with dust in the lens, and some model blind themselves with their own IR. PTZ are the worst as they also randomly start spinning around and won't stop until you power them off. Expensive equipment that has many problems and dealer/agent won't replace faulty ones.
Would be great to also have a camera on the ferry terminal and possibly some of the other junctions so viewers can see the issues at various locations in and around Dover at peak traffic periods
Hi, I'm not sure what product you are referring to when asking this question but as far as I am aware Samsung (now known as Hanwha Vision) do not produce any professional CCTV cameras that are battery or solar-powered.
If I plug several new cameras into my POE switch at once, is there any way to distinguish between them? Can I get the lights to blink or something? Sure would be better than having to plug one in at a time. I'm new to HikVision and I'm finding the process of activating dozens of cameras unbelievably frustrating. While I'm here I should point out that there's also no way to paste into the password field. This is consistent in IVMS, SADP and the camera's own web interface. This is a great way to ensure typos.
Hi, If you want to modify multiple cameras at once it is recommended that you use the Hikvision Batch Configuration Tool - www.hikvision.com/uk/support/tools/hitools/cl25143e034aab161b/
Hi Martin, this stream is over now. You need to use this new link for the new stream - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F5Q5ViU8QR0.html
Hi, we are aware. There was an issue with the streaming camera that has taken a while to fix. This stream has now stopped and we have restarted at this new stream - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F5Q5ViU8QR0.html
@@useIP Apologies, kindly remove my comment. Your site threw up a lot of errors including certificate warnings on 2 devices. I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. In any case I could not find vms lite, just later versions. I was not sure if it still existed. Thank you.
@@chippywarren9706 no worries, the certificate/cookie warnings are something we are aware of but it is tricky for us to resolve as it only seems to impact certain users using certain browsers and/or security add-ons/ad blockers/VPNs/etc... In regards to VMS Lite, we haven't been looking closely at Milesight for several years and so it does look like the VMS Lite might have come to an end. It looks like now you would use the Milesight CMS instead - www.milesight.com/product/ms-cms
I changed the password and It was ok. But when I need to unbind the device or use the password inside the console(with mouse and tv) the password does not work, but it does if I navigate in web with the IP address. It is like the password didn’t change in all parts. What can I do?
Hi, have you checked your local network range using Command Prompt to verify that the IP address the camera is currently using is actually inside your local network range?
@@useIP Hi! Thank you for the answer! Of course, I did. I could ping the camera too. Well, finally we could speak somebody from HikVision (I live in China, so it's feasible), and it turned out that my camera model DOES NOT HAVE BROWSER SUPPORT! YES! Unbelievable, isn't it? This is a new fashion in China to manufacture cameras that don't support browser management. You need an NVR or an NVR software to do that. So finally they gave me link to an EzViz NVR software with which I could set up the camera perfectly. It has so many settings, it is quite professional anyway. And NO BROWSER support! My mind stops and dies really. But at last, everything is okay with that cam, luckily. :)
*We purchased this after moving, and previously had a spotlight **Newest.Technology** cam with solar power. The wired pro cam has much better light (about the same as a bright porch light), and the image is significantly more clear with much better details.*
Hi, Do you mean Command Prompt? It is shown in the video, go to the Windows icon in the bottom left of the screen and then use the search bar to search for 'Command Prompt'
Thank you for tutorial video. Still one thing puzzles me, and I can't find the answer. I'm currently using smartphone with 'ip webcam' app for monitoring room. The problem is whenever power in room is lost my phone not only stops sending videos after motion detection, but also stops saving them to it's own memory. Then I have to personally turn app again so it can start detect motion and record again. In that situation potential intruder can simply turn off power. Can I configure for example HWC-C120 model so it would be immune to such power loses? It has 5V DC input so I could power it through powerbank. Then if power goes down and my router turns off camera still should be powered for many hours. (router battery lasts only about an hour) IMPORTANT QUESTION - would camera still save a movie on memory card after it loses connection with router?
Hi, there is no default password for Milesight VMS, you will need to set your own. If this is about the activation code see my reply to Umair's comment below.
Hi, If you are still having issues with SADP I would recommend posting your issue to the use-IP forum - www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/ - where our team and the 1,000s of forum users can help you solve the problem.
Hi, you will need to check the Synology Camera Compatibility list - www.synology.com/en-uk/compatibility/camera - if it is not on that list but the camera manufacturer states the model to be ONVIF compliant then you should still be able to connect the camera as an ONVIF device, but as this is not full compatibility some advanced functionality of the camera may not be supported the Synology software.
Hi, most Hikvision cameras support HLC, it is a pretty standard feature. You can double-check the datasheet for each model to confirm support for HLC. This feature will help with reading number plates, but it is not a perfect solution as the camera will likely still struggle to read plates if they are moving too quickly or if the angle of the plate changes (e.g. if the car turns a corner as it approaches the camera).
Hi, this is an old video and I don't think we took these measurements. With my knowledge of the old office where this was filmed, I would say the distance between the camera and the car is roughly 10-15m. (probably closer to 10m)
If an Alarm Notification is activated does this camera have the option to send an email of video or pictures of intrusion? Think this would be a most desirable feature given it is an indoor camera, probably mounted at low level, with easy accessibility.
Hi Ozil, I don't understand your question. If you are having issues with setting up/accessing a Samsung NVR then I would recommend posting your issue at the use-IP forum - www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/ - where I am sure one of the users will be able to assist you.
