Can you tell me what newer IP camera I should get for my older model Speco TH series DVR? These older models don't use encryption but they do use a password. It can record at 720P an h.264 encryption.
Hi Tim, we only specialise in IP network cameras so we wouldn't be able to recommend any current analog cameras that would work with your DVR, we would recommend you post your question to the use-IP forum and see if some of the 1,000s of users can help you - www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/
@@GospelOfTimothy we still recommend posting at the forum, we have never heard of your DVR/NVR model or brand so if you can share as many details of the model at the forum someone there may be able to recommend a compatible IP camera model. (with old DVR/NVR models they are not always ONVIF compliant so they may only support cameras from the same brand and also they can sometimes have resolution limitations - e.g. only supporting IP cameras up to 4MP)
just so you are aware there was a mistake in our voice-over script, on the slide about Cat cables the voice-over refers to Mbps as MEGABYTES (MBps) when it should have been MEGABITS (Mbps) - we apologise for the mistake
