Hey I’m digging your content, and throwing a turbo on my 5VZ is happening within the next year or so. You might be interested in converting to coil packs. It was a chore figuring out all the wiring but I got er all good to go. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tZ0JvexF3cQ.htmlsi=X1OkUknFuqJbVMbR
Great vid, gonna do it myself with a tiny low boost turbo and no intercooler. I want to make 50 to 75hp tops. Something that starts to make power in the low 2k range.
Is it possible to do this with the factory option of auto-locking hubs instead of the manual? I really love auto-locking hubs. Would the dash indicator for 4x4 light up? I had no idea this swap was possible. I love my 1st Gen Tacoma 4x4 and my daughter wants one. PreRunners are readily available at pretty good prices. Totaled tacomas are also available at copart. Seems like a great reason to by a totaled Tacoma.
I was looking around for a long time trying to find somebody who has done this conversion, I bought a prerunner as my first truck a few months ago, and one of my point I wanted but couldn't find was a 4x4. I looked under the truck and saw that it has everything to do the swap, and I found your video! Thanks a lot for making these, you definitely earned a sub and and a thumbs up! I'll be watching you do this while I do mine in the future!
1000 or 1350 cc . . . also, you want to use a lighter wheel, go with a 6.5"-8" very light C/F whatever 16" wheel, car wheels are about 6 times the weight/mass you need, too much, robbing your hp, braking and suspension performance
would this same tutorial apply to my 2002 525i? with the dipstick the oil was brown not black so its still good. but i just had to add a whole quart of oil into my car. my car burns oil
That driveshaft won’t fit. The 4x4 driveshaft is shorter due to you adding the transfer case. I just did this swap. 4x2 driveshaft is too long. I guess you could always get it cut at a shop. I just didn’t go that route.
Have you guys ever tried swapping that spindle with a 2nd gen 4wd Tacoma? I wonder if it's the same height and what need to be replaced to make it work?
Good morning, I would like to ask you for information, I have a jeep compass model year 2023 1.6 Diesel 130 horsepower front-wheel drive, can I convert it to all-wheel drive, how can I do it?
It sounds insane!! Freaking good work, I am the same still figuring out bump steer and trying to finish projects 😂 just stumbled across your channel sweet 👌🏻
Great videos! I have 2 Tacomas pre runners-2003, 2004. I was wondering in converting one to 4wd, but after seeing these videos I don't think I can handle it... by the way, where can I get the bed cover? Thanks for posting these videos!
