So cool! I've been wanting to see a comparison like this: 2WD only vs. 2WD w/ the locker vs. 4WD only vs. 4WD w/ the locker. I have a 2004 PreRunner with the rear locker and have always wanted 4WD. I don't think I could handle the work on my own, but I really appreciate the work you guys did to show everything that would be involved. I'm better equipped to maybe do some of the work and at least know what is involved if I look at paying someone to do it. Thanks!

God I love these trucks. I need to install the locker for rear diff. Unfortunately I didnt get the trd trim. I also have what it seems to be rare but its also a step side bed.

Hey man, when you shift to 4h especially 4Low do you feel like it grinds and makes a buzzing sound? Maybe im Not shifting correct. I put it in Nutral to put it on 4L . But it even does it when I put in Nutral and shift to 4High

I would say all in about 2k. But I have several parts left over to sell now so that will help bring the price back down.

Thank you! I have another question. What suspension or steering parts did you have to switch out to 4x4 specs (tie rod ends? Inner or outer, ball joints or control arms etc).

The Taco needs more spice. The work truck showed it up, fully loaded. Let's see the Ram, put down a time, on the track. There's gotta be a TRD supercharger, in a salvage yard, somewhere.

I don't believe you can. The trans requires disassembly to swap a 2wd to a 4x4 trans. Better off finding a good used 4x4 trans.

Unfortunately it's totally different. The suspension is completely different and I don't think it would be worth the effort to go through to convert it
