Quick intro. Born 1957 in Small Heath. Now live in Australia. Kev is my name. I love the Blues. The time zones do my head in because I have to get up at 4am to watch the Blues. Haven't missed home and away on Blues tv so far. Great podcast guys. Keep it up. I seriously enjoy it. KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is really appreciated. It’s fantastic that you are watching our podcasts all the way from Australia! We are really pleased you enjoy them. KRO!
On the motorway as we speak travelling from Preston for the game. First of the season for me, and I cannot wait! Somewhere in the day a game will happen, but I can't wait to soak up the atmosphere in the new fan zone, spend too much money in the new shop and just experience the feel good factor of Birmingham City. Been a long, long time. Keep right on boys, love the pod
Thank you very much for your comment Zane which is really appreciated. We are really pleased you enjoyed the podcast. It should be a great atmosphere again today which I am sure you will enjoy. The fan zones are great! Have a safe journey from Preston! KRO!
With the money spent by Shelby who owns less than 50%, can we really expect BSH to relinquish their majority shares? The value of their assets has just sky-rocketed. I would be more comfortable if Shelby had spent all the money on buying a majority share first. Too much is uncertain. What exactly is the arrangement all about?
Thank you for your comment which is greatly appreciated. I’m sure Knighthead have this nailed down and my understanding is that BSH needed to retain a percentage for a period of time to be able to keep their Hong Kong stock exchange listing. There is no way that Tom Wagner and Knighthead would invest all this money unless they have a watertight agreement to take full ownership of the club in the near future. KRO!
I hope you're right. Wagner and Brady seem enthusiastic and honest and have said they're here for the long term. But there's a quote from Wagner on the Wikipedia site for Birmingham City that suggests he's content with the arrangement. Strange.
Hi both. An interesting varied show. Presently, the feeling is one of confidence in City winning the league. Lovely!! ,but ideally , we should put aside any championship thoughts, as it would be a huge emotional disappointment if we stayed in league 1. Enjoyable, thank you..
Thank you for your comment Mikey which is greatly appreciated. I appreciate what you are saying and we should be firmly focused on getting out of League One however things feel different this season and it’s nice to have a bit of confidence of a brighter future for a change. KRO!
@BCFCRoyalBlue I'm glad you didn't take offence gents. I lived in Handsworth in the 80's and cycled into the Black Country often. My Dad and I are Derby fans, but I have supported and watched Peterborough (Posh) since moving here in 1987. Before then, living in Solihull, my Dad and I went to St Andrews or Coventry to watch several games against Derby or other sides from 1972 to 1980. It's good to see the Birmingham City resurgence this season. My old school friends are split between the Blues and the Villa. I am not putting any money on a Posh win...
Haha! The humble element wasn't in reference to our situation, we are enjoying every second of it and so we should. It was about respecting our opponents because we need to graft and earn every 3 points we get, KRO! :)
Thanks for commenting and great question. I'm not 100% on the specifics so take this with a pinch of salt but in the championship it's under FFP and League One is SCMP. The SCMP requirement is whereby a Club’s Player-Related Expenditure shall not exceed the sum of 60% or 50% of the Club’s Relevant Turnover for League One and League Two Clubs respectively. I think it is less restrictive and ironically we possibly wouldn't have been able to spend as much but as I say, not 100% sure on this, KRO! :)
@@BCFCRoyalBlue I suppose we could never be 💯 sure without looking at the books, just saying that relegation was something the owners didn’t worry too much . Clever people particularly as Manchester City also went down in similar circumstances And about knowing what we know now it was a shot to nothing as they say KRO
Two lovely home games to enjoy in the next few days, and rightly said Matt, it's a joy to be excited for the weekend and for the trip to spend a good few hours at the blues rather than turning up late and leaving as soon as the game finishes!
Hi guys, yes lets be humble but come on, Why are people hyping up Peterborough, just like they did with Wrexham, just another average team, we are way better and should go into this game full of confidence. KRO.
Thanks for commenting Geoff, greatly appreciated :) People have said the teams we've played so far have been average but we left it 90+3 against Wigan, a draw against Reading. 2-1 Orient and 3-2 Wycombe etc. Only 1 goal swings. I'm not taking anything away because we have been outstanding this season but just objectively every team deserves that respect. Bring on tomorrow and hopefully another 3 points for the blues. Very best, KRO! :)
❤ GARY AND MATT RESPECT FOR YOUR COMMENTS . THE ROYAL BLUES 'R ' UP TO THE CHAMPIONS YOU NO IT TRUE YES BIG M🎶🎵🔊🍺 🤪 YES CHRIS DAVIES IS MASSIVE MANAGER 💯% LOVE THE NEW TOP ❤️ 💙 ...
The 3rd kit is a thing of beauty! We definitely needed it as we needed something different from the blue home & white away with away games at the likes of Wigan, Reading, Bristol Rovers, Huddersfield, Stockport & Peterborough
A real professional podcast cast we'll done . Everyone who watches will think the same thing, it may be time you set up a prescription service and you may be amazed at the take up which will be high
I can’t praise your podcast enough guys. I really enjoy watching you, great content and down to earth. #KRO and well done. 👏 Loving every home game. 🍺🙂
Time you guys get the recondition you both deserve from our club for your great pods you both do and the chats about blues i lov it keep up the good work k.r.o. i agree with matt 4-1 blues win coubb 😊😊
That thing about us thinking we haven't scored enough, I think that goes back to being 4-1 up against Swindon Town with 30 minutes left and losing 4-6.
Oh wow, horrendous Steve 😆 I think with Blues there has always been a feeling teams might get back into games where as now we seem so much more in control, KRO! :)
I remember us playing Fulham at home, 1st game of the season when I was a kid. Blues 3-0 up at half time and I said to my dad “ watch us lose 3-4”. Guess what happened, lol
The media department must take a lot of credit for the 3rd kit reveal... absolutely fantastic 👏 gents you guys deserve every bit of recognition you get on this channel... best blues channel by far.. furthermore you are both good honest gents 👏
Congratulations on the 3k subs gents, I really enjoy listening to your podcast when I drive to work in the morning, for the 5k subs video we need a Trevor Francis career heat map
I tried grabbing the 3rd whilst at work but medium size sold out fast 😂, once they get back in stock fingers crossed I'll get one, fav kit design in a very long time
If we'd have been relegated under the previous ownership I would have really feared for our future existence, but with this lot in charge it was the polar opposite. Just a blip rather than a catastrophe, and a chance to re-set and move forward.
You two 100% deserve the subs and praise. I look Forward to these. One of the best football podcasts I’ve seen around 1 team. Along with a few other blues podcast! KRO! ❤
@@BCFCRoyalBlue100% and the mentality is elite right now. I’ve never heard a home crowd get behind there team when they concede early like vs Wrexham. Fans got louder after that goal. That is how you get behind your team. I hear posh fans saying an early goal will quite there fans. Good luck with that!
Started watching the Blues in 1971 at the age of 7 and was a regular till the early days of the Premiership. For one reason, or another, I simply got out of the habit of going and can’t remember the last time I was at St Andrews. Well that’s all about to change, as I’ve got tickets for both Tomorrow and Tuesday. I wonder how many others who had drifted away, are coming back?
If the trend continues of selling out our home games like we are I would say a large portion of our fanbase are starting to come back. It's really exciting times, KRO! :)
I think the last point made on our improved marketing is a great point - our 'reach' is further, we are at the front of media thoughts, leading rather than just reacting. As long as we keep winning this will continue, and the feel good factor will grow REALLY looking forward to the coming months, and the Boxing day fixture will be so much better than last year !!
The team have really stepped it up this year and made some great stuff :) Fun fact, last years boxing day was when myself and dad decided to do the podcast, we got the train in and had a few beers before the stoke game and decided to start the pod. Rooney ruined it for us but we had a good day, exicted for this years, KRO!
@BCFCRoyalBlue that for me was the real low point of the season, a big crowd and abject performance - I was there with my two sons , its a family tradition that i drag them along but i suspect getting tickets for them this year will be more difficult, and we all knew that Rooneys days were numbered It appears the one good outcome from the day was you pair making your decision to do this podcast series, keep it up !!
The new 3rd kit is a thing of beauty, really like it! Don't know if you saw it but Barry Fry was on another Blues podcast last night. It was brilliant and he's as funny as he always was, talking about his time with us. Have a great weekend guys and hopefully another 3 points tomorrow! KRO
I did watch that, big fan of Barry Fry and it was a great watch. Really enjoyed :) Really like the third kit as well. Let's get those 3 points tomorrow, KRO!
