Someone told me once that flying a plane is just as easy as driving a car. I have always loved airplanes but what do you do if you love planes but you are afraid of heights? For this reason I have flown RC airplanes for years but I've always dreamed of flying a real plane.
Hey, student pilot learning out of our capital city, Wellington. So happy you got to fulfil a dream of coming down here. It's a long way from Alaska! I'm glad your NZ trip was memorable for the right reasons. We love it when new friends showcase our country, and bringing your family must have made just that experience even more magical. Kia Ora
I just got a ride in red nose last July Also with Barry. ABSOLUTELY THRILLING... Thank you Barry and airbase Georgia. One of top 3 on my bucket list. WOW !!!
I did a lot of stalls in the archer III then flew a decathlon and I'll tell you the decathlon will 100% fling the nose over when it stalls it is unmistakable compared to the gentle stall characteristics of trainers.
I'm starting flying lessons at 62 years of age; had one taster session. This is very informative as to what lies ahead of me. I've also watched a video about talking to air traffic control. It all sounds like gobbeldygook but I'm sure I'll learn gradually. Thank you.
Wow that was awesome mate! I grew up in Mt Maunganui of the North Island, also a beautiful place to fly. Never been to Milford Sound as yet, live in Australia now.... Great work, stoked you all had a great time in NZ! 🌅🐬🌴🌿
WHat an exciting video. Thanks. My last trip before covid was the Queenstown, Milford Sound, Wanaka, TeAnue, Doubtful Sound including a helicopter ride to the high glaciers + + +..... my best trip ever. THANKS for taking me back to this wonderful land full of beauty and fantastic people. Good for you making this trip happen !!!
The only thing I would change is to identify a touchdown point. I usually try to land on the 1000' markers. Nice wide bit of paint that's easy to see when you nail it.
Please donate to my full ride training courses 😂 i need a sponsor. I know i got the desire and inspiration to learn how to fly and get my license. Im just too broke 😢
I think it would be more useful for pilots if the camera was at the pilot iview on landing as opposed to on the wing. Then the pilot can look at the aiming point and observe the round out and flare from the vantage point, that we would have, not from the wing or the tail.
A bit misleading title. Emergency descent refers to a specific procedure where you are getting down asap ( say you got fire in the cockpit). That usually involves steep bank and either flaps or at Vne, not Vg
Thanks for the instruction...i am just now getting into flying and this was a great video... i will be following the rest. Great instruction. You were very patient and spoke clearly and was funny too!! Glad i watched this video.
I just want to try a flying experience what should I do ? i don't want to become a pilot but just want to fly a plane for an experience anybody please help me regarding this
