Wow, what an incredible transformation! These new seats look fantastic, and it's clear that a lot of care and attention to detail went into this upgrade. The process of overhauling the seat frames and adding the upholstery seems straightforward, thanks to the explanations provided. It's not just about aesthetics; the emphasis on safety and structural integrity is highly commendable. Kudos to Mario, Daniel, and the team at 'sport aircraft seats' for their excellent work. These seats are a testament to the importance of investing in both comfort and safety in aviation. Can't wait to see them in action during your flights! ✈👏
Great selection of seats from SportAircraftSeats and refurnished frames completed by AircraftSeatFrames. Your Logo "Angle of Attack" , really set off the seat backs embroidered on them, but these seats look 100% better and safer than the older green seats. Question? When are you going to get the engine cowl "freshened up" with some new paint ? Enjoy all your video's, wish I lived in Homer and get "ALL" the outstanding Flying instructions to become a better pilot.
You should be able to get the weight difference from the change in the airplane's old and updated weight and balance sheets. (You are keeping correct W&B data updated after any changes in equipment as required by the FAA, ...yes?)
I did my discovery flight a few weeks back and instantly fell in love. I can’t stop thinking about flying but like most, can’t afford it at all once I was shown the costs . I love the videos and flight simulator is the only way I’m flying 😂.
Most of us have been there that's why we drive crappy cars and don't go out much except to fly. Sell your flight sim and put that towards your lessons? You'll get there eventually if you really want to fly.
@@kestrel5065 i use the Xbox for flight sim, not worth a whole lot. I’m trying to budget and figure this whole thing out cause I want it badly enough. Thanks for commenting back and be safe up there👊🏻
Go to the airport. Talk to the old guys, that would be me now, time flys. Offer to help us. Offer Cessna owners help fueling their planes at self serve. Wash windows or wash and wax a guys plane. A young guy helped me bring my plane home when I bought it. He was desperate for hours so he could get to the airlines. He helped me, I helped him. I let him fly my plane to get the needed hours, he is now a First Officer in an RJ. He still flys my plane but I told him it comes with conditions. One day he will be the old guy at the airport, if he sees a kid who wants to fly, make it happen, pass on to the younger guys what I have given him, give them help and don’t charge of just charge for fuel. The future of GA is in the hands of us old guys. I lost my medical but I still have my plane. Kids I know are learning to fly in my Arrow, my daughter is going to be a pilot in a few years. We understand if we don’t get kids flying we will become a historical footnote. Show drive and initiative and someone will make sure you get in the air.
The craftsmanship on those seat frames is top-notch, and the upholstery looks stunning. It's great to hear that the installation process is straightforward as well. These seats are a game-changer for both aesthetics and comfort. Enjoy the upgraded flying experience! ✈👍
Chris. I very much appreciate your videos. I haven't visited your channel for a couple of years (my flying has been on hold), but I came back last week by watching you and Josh do Alaska four years ago. Today, I watched your excellent two-video educational series on seat maintenance and refurbishing. Please do not take this in the wrong way, but I am concerned about your health. You have gained quite a bit of weight in the last four years, and you look very unhealthy. According to the CDC, heart disease (#1 leading cause of death in America), certain types of cancer (all types of cancer are the #2 leading cause of death in America), stroke (#4 leading cause of death in America), & type 2 diabetes (all types of diabetes are the #7 cause of death in America). Again, I really enjoy and appreciate your work. Thank you.
Yes, changes +/- 1lb require a W&B change. More than likely the upholstery shop requires the old one and sends you a new one using the calculation method.
