You know I really like your paintings and all that. But why do your women look like these? Angular tiny nose-shaped women? Women don't look like that. A good example is Melania Trump. After she had her face hooked on. She looks angular and harsh. But look at her photos from before all that happened. She was actually pretty. Why don't you try using that face shape when you do your paintings? I think they'd be much prettier because that's the way real women look
The first video lacked polish and post-production. The video would have been better without the first 15 minutes of Home Depot. It would have been better at 30 minutes. Good job, nevertheless.
This was a Great podcast. I appreciated this. I also believe men have not been painted in Heroic sense. I have been sketching men in hunting roles and grandfather figures and young boys doing masculine things and respectful gestures to animals and small children. We need more paintings of men doing things like fishing or playing ball or camping with their children and wives. I find it very interesting to recognize that I have been concentrating on strong males. Thanks did this one
Thank you so much for this wealth of information. I've been binge watching you and although it's knocked my confidence abit, I can see where I'm going wrong and pushing myself out of my comfort zone and am giving oils another shot, and drawing stuff I know I'm not great at. So thank you, you should all be on T.V.
Hey Tanner, Thanks for adding this bit at the end, so that we could actually see the paintings that were made in the first episode. Whoever is editing - you really need to SHOW your audience the paintings from the previous episode when you are saying who won, and the order, which Tanner just gave us, should have been provided at the beginning of the episode. I think there could have been several categories to vote for in this particular challenge: I really thought that the Charlie Chaplin (was that Daphni?) was the best executed. Dino's gave me the most initial feeling of a traditional surrealist painting - even the darkness of the painting worked for that somehow (though I can't say that I honestly know many surrealist paintings). Jake's painting was the most playfully surreal, though I too would have liked to see some of the details like the chairs rendered more finely. Dahlia's - the gorilla birthday party (sorry, I get the two girls mixed up - forgive me, I'm an old fart) - for me won the best interpretation of the subjects. It's hard for me to overall chose a finalist of them all, but I'll think about it and go vote.
I LOVE your show!! I can only find Season 1 to Ep 2 on RU-vid ... would LOVE to see the rest of Season 1 ...are you airing it ... or how can I find it to watch?? LOVE your show!!
Jessi was a stunning piece but it barely was a landscape painting so I get that. Katrina deserved the win. However Bri should have been eliminated this round with Jessi. Though I honestly feel like this whole competition so far was a billboard for Jessi 🤷♂️ We shall see… I’m about to watch the next episode
Long time artist, sewing and crochet, I am new to painting. This was my favorite video of Elli so far! Thank you for being so open and sharing your relationship with God, each other, growth and techniques. My mamma said "❤ Keep shining!"
John’s showed his true talent. I gasped after the first day! Surreal or not- it was delightful and made by a true master. The colors, composition, so much subject matter to see - it was / is remarkable!!!!!!!!
Ellie, I love your hair style bAck then so much that I have taken pictures of it and am getting my curly hair cut like it tomorrow. Its so hard to find a manaegable CURLY STyLE SHORT!
Seems that you don't need any skill talent or ability these days all you have to find is an idiot to by the rubbish that is out there. Thats the trick 👌
I think Miranda had. GREAT point about how this is supposed to be loosely supervised. This is an abstract. They never said the painting had to be identical to the source. If that were the case then everyone else should be critiqued just as hard as far as their exact specifications. I enjoy these shows, but a running theme in every season is trying to lead them to much. The entire point is to see how the artist would do things. Not how the judges would.
You are amazing!!!!!! I fell in love after watching your season!!!!! If I could choose a daughter….. it would be you! You have a gift sweetheart. Keep sharing it!
