All on 4 ,or all on x ,costs $17,000 in Mexico 🇲🇽, its over $80 k in Northern Canada, & you can fly there directly without a passport, as long as you stay out of America, so if you have $20 k sitting around, jump on a plane and go do it
@@murimurimruithey should be, dentists should also be paid. Public hospitals should provide free healthcare. Private dentists or clinics have the right to charge money for their work. It’s a human right to be healthy and painfree ! In my country healthcare is free for low income individuals and like myself Students, but I chose a private dentist to not wait very long as I needed to travel to the US and I feared having to pay a fortune there, I got a root canal and two crowns for the cost of an average monthly salary in my country (around 250$ usd), which I’m grateful for being able to get, but other people are not so lucky and just for being of average or low income have to endure pain for a long period of time. Access to healthcare is a human right but it shouldn’t be at the cost of private dentists.
@@Azz-M Lol, clearly you have not heard of the long wait times of the NHS nor of Canadian Health Care. The wait time to see a specialist/to get needed surgery is intentional to make you self delete. Please, seek Canadian Health Care.
I just had a partial made from a 3D scan for the first time. I assume it used 3D printing as well. It fit perfectly, without the many adjustments usually required for plastic ones made from impressions.
That will depend a lot on your dentists. Most labs will remake a denture if the patient is unhappy. If your dentist is willing to approach the lab and have them remade then they will work something out for a refund. Or, maybe your dentist will decide to send to a different lab. How your dentists decides to handle your individual case and payment is up to him/her. Dentures are considered medical devices and require a prescription to begin work. Labs can not work directly with patients.
Happy we could help! There's always pros and cons with every denture solution. There are a lot of good dentists out there too. It's important to get multiple opinions when considering something like dental implants.
Thanks very much! The industry is changing fast! I just learned about 3D printed permanent crowns. I haven't seen what they look like but the there's a digital option for almost every lab item now.
That doesn't look beautiful to me. The teeth aren't separated well, there's no transparency (even acrylic teeth look more natural), and the transition from the prosthesis to the real gums is a massive food trap. My main complaint with these solutions is, that technically they might be the top of the dental profession but in reality there are so many drawbacks. Sorry to say that.
There are pros and cons to all denture/full arch solutions. It's important to point out that there is no like-for-like replacement for natural teeth. Every edentulous solution will have inherent drawbacks. People have differing opinions. It's ok to prefer other options for aesthetics. Generally, the trade off for more high aesthetic solutions is a reduction in durability and flexural strength. Zirconia lacks translucency and brilliance compared to something like porcelain, but the material should last a lifetime. One advantage to a single unit milled zirconia arch is it only requires 4-6 implants to hold in place. It's true there is no separation between teeth, but the patient doesn't need 16 single unit implants either. Food absolutely will get trapped between the gums and the prosthesis. Daily care and maintenance is required to keep them clean. It is important to remove plaque around the implants as poor oral hygiene can lead to decay and the failure of the implant. Dentists should provide their patients with instructions and tools to properly clean the prosthesis and gums. An all on "X" implant prosthesis may not be the perfect solution, but from a functionality stand point it is as close as someone can come to natural teeth. Once placed and healed, there are no restrictions on what a person can eat. With proper care, the arch should last a lifetime. Also, there is a minimal risk for advanced bone loss of the jaw, compared to acrylic dentures that wear down the bone ridge the longer they are used. Unfortunately, modern dentistry has only come so far to replace lost teeth. Patients need to understand that once natural teeth are pulled, it will require an adjustment to lifestyle no matter what option a patient chooses to replace them.

Hi James. Thanks for your video. I just watched your video introduction to DMLS technology(AKA SLM technology). Actually we also develope and manufacture metal 3D printers in China. And we have customers in other countries using our HBD-150 to print crowns and bridges and frameworks with great qualities. And the cost of the machine is nearly half of the machine you use right now. Can we build the connection for more details? Thanks.
Flexible partial 3D printer resin is still in the works. Once it's fully developed labs will be able to print flexible partials. Technically, you could print a partial denture with the technology available. We would not do this however because adding clasps and wires would be difficult. There is no good way to embed metal wires and clasps into the printer resin as we do with traditional acrylic partial dentures. Also, we can not fit 3D printed material to partial framework if you prefer metal framework. So 3D printed partial dentures would have few practical uses without clasps, wires or framework.
