I can really relate to most of your points. I feel like I always put up a mask when I'm with most people, but when I create content, I can truly express myself. However, I get scared to post that content because the person in the video isn't the same person that people know me as.
i appreciate the transparency its really nice, how did u figure out what you want to post at first? did you start posting like a certain thing then shifting to posting something else after? because i feel like i have a certain idea but when it actually comes to putting in the work i think about it and then my brain labels it as corny.
@@alinazeer704 Hi lovely 🤍 I just started with vlogs / lifestyle then as I experimented I found more of what resonated with my voice and style - but honestly I’m still figuring it out and trying new things! My advice would be to just start and not be too critical, just begin with any idea you have - you’ll figure it out as you go. In relation to the label of ‘corniness’ - from my experience is a way of self sabotage / self protection from something scary & brave. I still find myself labelling certain ideas negatively but am in a practice of letting go and creating truthfully regardless. That was a rant - hope that’s helpful and good luck on your journey! Sending love xx
Grace, I have watched quite a few of your vids over the last few months and didn’t even notice or consider that you were a “small” creator until you mentioned it in this video. I’ve been so inspired by the way you are creating, how honest and genuine you are. Keep creating, babe! Your work is worth it. What you are building will be worth it.
just stumbled upon this video but i loved it so much!! i resonate so deeply as someone that's 21 and has moved away from home and now live in melbourne. thank you for sharing your authenticity !
I’ve just found your RU-vid channel and wanted to say thank you for being you and posting such authentic, courageous and valuable content! I’ve been wanting to make a proper RU-vid channel for years and have let the fear of being “cringe” stop me. I feel so inspired by you embracing and voicing your vulnerability. I am ready to take a leaf out of your book 😊. (Ps I’m from the byron shire and definitely recognise you)
Hi, thank you so much for this sweet comment - you have no idea how much this means to me. 🥺❤️ I’m so glad I could inspire you to start, and I’m wishing you the best for your journey ahead! Lots of love 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I love you and I'm so glad for your conversation ❤❤❤ Talking about how we hold ourselves in the world, and where our wants and dreams come from is such an honour and privilege to share with friends. I heard that friendships provide our bodies with genuine dopamine regulation and to not have that can cause your body great physical stress. So reach out, stay connected with your friends. Grace's platform here is a beautiful way to connect with a community, so we're here to see you too, with lots of love, and a busy mind - luca
Hi Grace!! We just watched this together & wanted to say that we completely understand your feelings of confusion/feeling lost. We were both there just before we found our 'thing' & to this day we still go through periods of feeling that way. You're not alone on that ❤ You are such a lovely human being, inside & out, and we know you will find all that is meant for you if you just keep your heart open to it 🥰 sending lots of love!!
I feel u about the single hood paradox!! been single for the past 3 yrs and was really craving love & intimacy this spring. But Ive been reading this book called 'conversations on love' that's really changed my perspectives!!! sometimes we crave love bc we want to be understood and to feel the connection with others, but this can also be achieved by sharing the love with friends and family etc.. We need to send love and compassion to the ones around us, so we can get the love back one day :))))
Hi Grace, I have spent most of my life hiding. I believe deeply in being my authentic self, yet unfortunately was met with harms. Im am thankful there are diverse and intelligent persons within this nation. I wish you the very best and hope that you continue with your path of wisdom, spirituality and creative living. Never change.
Thank you so much for this video, this is exactly what I needed to hear. It is extremely conflicting when you feel you have a message to offer but are being held back by your fear of being perceived by others. I'm finally pushing through those fears; this video has validated that I am on the right path. Thank you for your message! You are such a beautiful soul!
I love that concept of if we're being authentic, then they'll come to us. I don't just love it tho I just never realised the gravity of how true that is. This is a good fucken episode ❤ haha I love how pumped u r throughout the whole video
It's been half year I stop being on RU-vid because the fear of being suddenly hit my out of no where, I'm walking around lost, wondering what did I do wrong that I no longer feel the bravery to express my authenticity, and the feeling of people maybe hating me for some reason. Thanks for your sharing, it's soothing and inspiring. Hope I can be back on RU-vid soon
Thank you for sharing. I went through a similar phase last year. Something that helps me is just going forward with action. In my experience choosing authenticity is a choice we can act on despite how we may feel. Knowing also that while some people can be judgemental, they are likely too focused on themselves to really care!! Please know that your authenticity is so beautiful and needed. Sending you love 💕
You're amazing! I like your video and your vibe! You're speaking from such a centred space, and I like it! it's a much need quality. I am also a content creator at the beginning of my career and it's cool to see content like that.
My thought while listening to the video: 1. Living the time in between finding a passion without feeling guilty/useless is so true 2. So true, stable 9-5 jobs can be so boring but don’t bring any real stress except existential 3.Trying to take little things that you sort of like and pushing yourself further into them does not feel right cause you’ll KNOW it’s wrong… still worth trying and exploring and getting started tho 4. Pressure is sometimes necessary once you settled on a goal
You speak eloquently! Your videos resonate with me and make me feel good. Thank you for sharing. Especially love what you said about giving yourself permission to create what you’re passionate about, and that becoming the person that you admire and are born to be is the true success. ❤
I really liked this sort of video style. It's sort of similar to your usual vids but I really liked your pacing in how you were talking and what you were talking abt really worked well with the b-roll and especially the cut- to's of your daily life. Slay.
PREACH. When you said "how you show up authentically and own your truth can make somebody else feel less alone" that shit hit. It sort of brings this light of taking accountability for knowingly withholding yourself. I love, love that. Thanks Grace this was beautiful.
I love this so much! I love that your messaging here applies not just to RU-vid, but to so many other areas of life as well! The kind of wisdom I needed today x
