had that exact same bike as my first one back in 2014,suprised how good it style looks in 2024 compare to modern naked the perfect beginner bike nice low torque/high rpm engine and good handling the only caveat brake are trash and gearing is to tall
Agree with your points, I have a 2011 GSR750 which is essentially identical to this bar a few cosmetic differences. Brakes were indeed utter garbage and gearing far too long for 100-110bhp
I believe if i closed my eyes, and just listened to Jeremy, I think I shed a few tears at this speech....because besides the living room part. He speaks the truth about us.
I’m am probably growing up in the worst generation. It’s sad, because if I go to car meets when I’m older, there just going to be a bunch of ev’s. They are all going to be like “what size battery are you running.”
I'm also in the same situation but to fix this i simply don't care about whatever is going on in today's car scene, aside from a few cars like the new 992s. I just like to be a grandpa and get lost in the 50s and 60s. What's really sad is that most young "car guys" forget why we like cars in the first place. We don't like cars for their specs sheet, neither for their brute power levels, but for the feelings they give us and how they unite us as a comunity. I'd rather have a slow, n/a v8 with 350 hp but thunder sound and nimble handling than a 700 hp electric crossover that drives like a samsung fridge. And yes, i've been called a grandpa a lot of times for even mentioning old sportscars and racecars like the gt40 and old aston martins in gen z car comunities.
No matter all the other super cars that have been built the Aventador is the most beautiful and stealthy of them all in my opion ! It may be aging but I would never say no to having one, evan just to admire it looks and that Lambo sound.
Being a car enthusiast was my whole reason for wanting to get up out of bed every morning. I used to have a racing wheel setup, but now i don't. I sold it because i started to see it as a cruel joke, a mockery, staring menin the face, constantly reminding me of all the things I'll never get to do in real life.
Quality was good on the ‘80s quattroportes. Not so much on the biturbos. If you look for the quattroporte’s seams, there aren’t any because they are filled in. Something pretty much no one else does. Not an inexpensive thing…
