Ugly plain ugly, BMW needs to fire their entire design department for exterior and interior. Audi shows how exterior design is done look at the e-Tron GT or RS eTron GT, they look gorgeous, Mercedes Benz with the EQS while exterior is questionable, the interior design, it is fantastic, BMW these days has neither.
@@humphrey09applebee61 Look up ANY pre-Bangle photoshoot of the BMWs. All look beautiful. No wonder they managed to combine art with their cars on special events, heck, even Warhol. Even some matured Bangle flame surfaces are cool, like the 5. And I understand why there was a heavy competition between the German big 3. But Jebus, the new BMWs look VULGAR as eff. It really is like the 2023 Velma spin-off of Scooby Doo. Vulgar. Try doing Warhol on that.
All because of Chinese market, they like that vulgar, showy exterior. It's a shame that more models can't have design like M5's which are badass. Also electric mercedes lineup looks like blob fish 🐟
E38 7 series, E39 M5 and E46 M3 are my top 3 of the best looking BMW's that they've created early 2000s was a golden age for BMW design unlike to with there XM,ix,1 series, M3/M4 🤢 the only good thing about the new ones is the performance and luxury and that's about it
This car is not just one of the prettiest BMW's ever made, but one of the best looking and sexiest cars ever. And thanks to this episode, i want one so badly. It has stolen the show of the Nissan and the Bentley.
I wanted an M6 Grand Coupe for the longest time, but when I finally bought an M6, I ended up going for the 2dr coupe. I know I’m in the minority on this but I just feel the 2dr has more presence - it’s also much rarer. I still get thumbs up driving my 2016 model in 2023.
I don't think your in the minority the 2 door has more presence. I think its just that for a 4 door it looks so much better and sportier than other 4 doors do.
Nah, my money is on either the CTS-V3 “Pedestal Edition” or the new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Perfectly proportioned, manual transmission, and a bulletproof/instantaneous/supercharged LT4 V8. The tire size even starts with a “3” like God intended. What more could you want? 🤤
That’s gotta be the most beautiful bmw I’ve seen. The proportionate grille, the headlights, the wide fenders 👌🏿. Nothing overly aggressive, overly styled, or overly done. That’s some top tier stuff right there.
The F06, despite being completely based on the F10, is so much better looking it’s ridiculous. A sexy car through and through, and much better looking than its successor the G16/F93
BMW Japan handed me the keys to that exact same car for a couple of weeks when it first came out here and it was love at first sight. Then I got to drive it... and thrash it... and sleep in it. And fall in love with it. And then my heart was broken when I had to give the big badass brute of a girl back to the suits. One of BMW's best ever cars.
I have a 640d GC and I have always wanted one. I thought I would only have it a year or so but it looks so so awesome and is outrageously comfortable and powerful for a daily it’s not going anywhere!!
For some reason the Gran Coupe is so much more enjoyable to drive than the F10 it’s based on, the suspension and steering feel better. Also one of the best designs from that generation of bimmers.
Fell in love with this car from this episode and convinced the fam to buy one. Have never regretted it and the styling is timeless. Best looking bimmer ever.
I bought a 640d (IMO a little more elegant, little less muscular) and I've not gone a day in 2 months of ownership without going outside to look at it. They're absolutely stunning cars.
1:30 "Monaco to Munich Mile Muncher": that might be an allusion to the catalog for the E39 model, which had a photo essay "story" about the Prince of Bavaria driving down to Monaco to show the Prince of Monaco his new E39. As the text talked about the car, the photos showed prince leaving his castle, jetting down the Autobahn and Autostrada.
I have the 2013 640i gran coupe m-sport. This car is so incredible beautiful, elegant, fast and fun to drive. Every time i drive i see turning heads outside. There is no other car at this moment that i want for 30K. The m6 is even more awesome i agree.
I think this is one of the most underrated yet one of the most beautiful BMWs ever made. Admittedly, wasn't a huge fan right out of the gate (I preferred the Coupe) but MY GOD I fell in love with it so quickly! Then I saw one in real life in San Marino Blue and was instantly sold. Coincidentally, that was not too long after this episode had come out, which I also think is one of the best TG episodes (post-2010 at least). In my 'money no object dream car garage', I will have one of these. There won't be any Chirons or Koenigseggs but there will be an M6 Gran Coupe. P.S. - I think the scene order could've been better, with the car intro played first and then the following scenes played chronologically after. And I think the brake test and the full drag scene could've also been included in this. But a great, short and sweet highlight nonetheless!
@@gixxerstig I think he means since bmw hp figures are underrated, factory crank hp stats are actually what the car is putting to the wheels because crank hp is much higher than usually stated
I have this car at 70k miles. I'm gonna hold on to it as long as I can. My gran coupe competition w carbon fiber roof. I daily drive my lucid so I don't put miles on it.
I may be biased because I have a coupe but the coupe is just a little bit better than the grand coupe. If I had a family or ever needed to use the back seat I might feel differently.
@@alisaleh1000 ended up getting an f90 m5 comp 2020 my friend has a 2023 m3 comp xdrive and i have drove it alot and im still happy i went with f90 m5 besides i have a fully decked out n54 135i...
@@thezig2078 Fair enough. They should have gotten The Stig to lap all of them around the track, then the BMW would have beaten the Bentley, but still would have lost to the GTR, though by a marginal difference. And of course, it would have beaten the HSV ute.
This plays out like a fast and furious drag race, the race lasted 51 seconds? haha they would have all maxed out there cars. that runway must have been 5 miles long
