instead of hunting the shark, they should get thousands of large balloon sharks, and tie them in a large maze around the bay, so that when the real shark comes, it will think that the restaurant is way too busy, and it will not want to wait in line, and will go to another bay
To be fair it's understandable why they weren't immediately asking questions when they first saw the dinosaurs, after all they are obviously 2 passionate individuals who have dedicated their lives to the study of these creatures and suddenly they are placed on an island where the target of their professional careers are just casually roaming across green fields alive and well. I think it's understandable that they would be momentarily overwhelmed by seeing living and breathing dinosaurs right in front of them. However after the initial impact of seeing living dinosaur started to wear off they began to start thinking critically and logically which is when they began to see the potential problems and safety concerns.
Im sure others have mentioned it, but the drill instructor was a real life Marine Corps Drill Instructor. Most of his lines were his own words. Something most people dont know about the US military is there are 6 branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force. The Coast Guard and the Space Force are not combat branches of military service. Although, the Coast Guard and agents from Dept Of Homeland Security do intercept drug runners from Mexico and Cuba, and it can turn into a combat situation. Nasa is under the Air Force. The Navy and the Marines are related. My dad was in the Navy but I was born on a Marine Corps base. There are Navy Seals that are actually in the Marines. The Marines are under Dept of the Navy.
14:28 Trust me, if it was your son killed by that shark, you'd want that shark dead, and I'd be with you 100%. The only "insane" thing here is defending a murderous shark. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed your reaction video - I give it a thumbs up👍
Holy cow! You wouldn’t be so excessively confused and have so many questions as you repeatedly said over every sentence of dialogue if you’d take even 3 seconds to listen. Good grief!
Hello Miss Venezuela, that top looks nice on you!😊 Sharks probably think we are just big weird fish to eat. This film was mainly shot on location on the island of Marta's Vineyard in the Boston area. The mechanical sharks name is Bruce, after Stephen Spielberg's lawyer. The author of the book and the screenplay is Peter Benchley. He has a cameo as the reporter on the beach in the blazer. Many of the people in the film are played by Martha's Vineyard residents. That was gruesome when Quint got eaten by the shark.😱 Nice reactions to the very first Summer blockbuster film, Miss V.!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 My sister did not go swimming in the ocean for 2 years after seeing this in the theater!😉
Jaws itself was supposed to be an unusual shark for more reasons than just its size. I have seen research that determined sharks don't like how humans taste, and most shark wounds are just exploratory bites to find out if the target is edible. Of course, if a Great White takes a test nip out of you, just the fact that it doesn't finish you off may not be of great comfort to the person who has been taste-tested. But the story about the shark attacks on the crew of the Indianapolis is true, and I haven't heard how the researchers reconcile incidents like that with their conclusions that sharks don't like people meat.
Fantastic reaction. Robert Shaw in real life was a refined and intelligent Englishman with a completely different accent and voice to Quint. Pure acting masterclass.
My question is since the Shark was hanging around the beaches near a ready food supply, why did Quint initially go so far out to sea beyond any land sighting? Was he trying to lure the Shark away with the Chum? But why would the Shark go for the chum when he could easily get a better meal nearer to the shore? It seems to me that Quint's boat should have stayed near the beach so as to catch the Shark much quicker. Sharks are territorial so it would have likely stayed near its new food territory. Also, I've always been disappointed that the Mayor comes out of this film unscathed. They could have easily written a scene when during the 2nd beach attack, the Mayor goes into the water to rescue his kids, only to end up being eaten by the Shark. Although I guess that might portray him as a hero or a as martyr. Either way the Mayor not getting at the very least maimed by the Shark, is what is missing in the film.
I think the mayor getting maimed or killed by the shark would have been silly. The chances were low of that happening. Remember, the mayor was only the frontman. The rest of the town councillors, newspaper editor and the coroner were complicit too. The mayor wasn't acting alone. Quint went so far out on his boat mostly for artistic movie license. It wouldn't have had the same drama if the were so close to shore. Spielberg wanted them to be seemingly isolated and cut off. It wouldn't have had the same impact if the shore was always being seen in the background.
Why do you keep putting yourself in the middle of the screen? Yes, we are watching your reaction, but we need to be able to see what you're reacting to. I was one of your first subscribers and I've enjoyed your reactions up to now, but don't you think it's time to move yourself off to the side and shrink yourself down a little? Regarding the story of the Indianapolis, I find it a very difficult story to reconcile. I feel sorry for the sailors in the water, but they had just delivered the bomb which was part of the greatest atrocity ever commited, the twin bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, an atrocity still killing people to this day. One hesitates to say they deserved it, as that's not something I think even the worst human who ever lived would deserve, but at the same time it's very hard to really sympathise. I still struggle with this slice of history.
Interesting observation! It was fun seeing your reactions! I was 18 when this came out and the Exorcist. One made me nervous of salt waters and the other scared me shitless, had to lock car doors on way home! Try watching Exorcist, classic acting and screenplay. Peace from Northern Michigan.
Great reaction, I loved hearing all of your thoughts near the end. The 2003 Hulk movie is another one you should check out, I’m sure you’d have some interesting thoughts on it.
The story Quint tells about the U.S.S. Indianapolis is based on true events. The number of sailors lost to sharks is actually unknown but they endured several days of repeated shark attacks Though it is exaggerated embellished, some of the survivors did state that they heard screams and saw men being dragged under all around them.
A few suggestions. Please raise the volume of the movie in comparison with your own. Also, move you camera placement farther away from the middle, so we can tell what it is to which you are reacting.
9:08 its because the bullet lost viscosity when it went through 2 other heads before his. It was powerless onve it got to him that's why he didn't lose his life
1:05:02 That was exactli the feeling wich Spilberg had when He read the script for the first time and was impressed with the last 100 pages, to the point that he asked that if the assigned director failed, they give the film to him.
When Brooklyn said it WAS a French mine that blew up the director and you ignored it was the moment I stopped the reaction. PAY ATTENTION and stop randomly talking over the dialog!!
Because of his navy experience I think Quint suffered from survivors dilemma. giving him a latent death wish and why he took unusual risks. Excellent reaction. Thank you.
Iconic Movie everybody that year did not want to go to the beach After that Movie in 1975 Great Reaction another scary iconic Movies to react to John Carpenter s The Thing 1982 and Alien 1979 Aliens 1986
Damn girl, just enjoy the movie stop trying to fight in your mind every pieces of dialogues and scenes like they were insulting you lmao, you cute tho 👍👍
This is the greatest horror movie ever made: the monster is entirely realistic, the monster isn't shown on screen until the last 3rd of the film, and the movie is an overall commentary on the subject of "mass panic". On a real note: i have trouble watching this movie because of the Ben Hooper dead body scene. A dead body, jump scaring a diver in the middle of the night, underwater: this is the reason i have a fear of the open ocean to this day.
The animosity tween Shaw&Dreyfuss was Real,,they were pulled apart a few times shortly before coming to blows over Shaws drink'n while film'n,,,he was Totally sh!tfaced for the Epic Indianapolis Monologue,,,,Hero Status🏆🍺
oh. my. gosh. I dont think I could find - even if I spent my life looking - a more annoying person to watch a movie with. This chick never. shuts. the. heck. up. "why is he whisteling" "why is he doing that" "why is he doing this" "what a character" "why would you need water". "why this" "why that" "he's dumb" "he's right" "he's blah blah blah" blaha blhaaa blaaah And WHY on earth would anyone on a boat, hunting sharks, be wanting gloves? So dumb right? Total newbies that needs gloves... jesus f-ck what a clever gal we got here.. "shoot him" "everyone has terrible aim" "just go for the head" Missy, I would see how calm and collected you are when a 3 ton shark is planning on having YOU for a snack, once YOU are in that situation, I would love to see how well YOU aim. o m g. "you dont need a bigger boat" (The Shark is literally as big as the f-cking boat, they need a MUCH bigger boat) Just. Watch. The. Damn. Movie. There's literally NO need to talk MORE than the characters in the bleeping movie. And no one is saying anyone should be quiet. It IS a reaction after all. But it is just that, a REACTION, not a "let's analyze every single word that's spoken". Please, for the love of god, tell me you do NOT act like this when you watch movies with someone outside doing reaction videos? IF so, then mad respect to that person that can stand this. I would've left after 10 minutes. Trying to watch a movie, not hear a 'play by play'.
It wasn't so much about the money as it was his personal vendetta against sharks and his ego. He'd been doing this a long time and there was no way he was going to ask for help. Also, it wasn't a "reward" - the town was paying him to kill the shark. The reward of $3,000 had been put up by Alex's mother.
