@@robertvittetoe6158 Great choice!! I love the look of the new SG fairing, trying to convince my friend to upgrade to one so I can look at it when he’s riding with me 🤣🤣
Was the lower windshield rough on your helmet? I have a Heritage and I'm 6ft and the stock windshield causes the wind to beat the hell outta my helmet. I have to hunker down to have a comfortable ride.
@@williamtufts3600 Only if it got really windy. I just did 500 miles in the Rockies on a stock windshield and it was fine, other than when we had 30-40 mile wind gusts. Playing with that vent helps to direct the air.
It's a long story as to why, but I am looking to get my hands on stock 2024 road glide handlebars. I also live in MN, and if you want to get rid of your stock bars, let me know, and we can chat offline.
What timing, I just had new 10" bars put on my 21 Arctic Blast SGS. What a difference in comfort. Wanted to have it done before our trip from KC to Maine. Sorry going to miss the HD homecoming and Sturgis we'll be on the road some where east of you. Ride Safe my friend.
@@garrysceppa7552 Thank you, I definitely don’t take the time with him for granted. I’ve got a whole Banff series coming but it’s taking me a while to edit it. The big trips are time consuming, but it is coming!
@@ozzierosado1985 I’m not sure you can go wrong either way, both are very solid. From my experience the Thrashin bars are wider and can use the H-D heated grips. My old Kraus set up was not compatible with the heated grips, but maybe they’ve changed that? Both make great parts.
IRT to your one-armed assistant, it's hard to find good help these days ;-). LOL The T-bars look great!! Hope to hear an update (post Sturgis/long trip) on how they felt/performed. Do you find them obstructing your view of the screen?
@@zavlo72 Different strokes for different folks! I do like the ape style, but I just like the t bar style better. A nice differentiator and I like how they ride, I feel like I’ve got good control.
Awesome look with those bars. Gonna miss Homecoming. Going to Sturgis a few days early to ride without crazy traffic. Is Randy going to Sturgis? I need a Randy for my bike. He’s my new favorite RU-vidr. Lol😂
@@gregga6140 It’s coming soon…ish. I once again took too many cameras so I’m going through all the footage. I’m working on it and hope to have it out here in July.
Mile Marker MIke here: It's nice doing a video of your ride. I do the same. When did you travel thru there. We are leaving August 9th coming thru there on the way to Lolo pass. The Teton pass is open up again that is good. I grew up in Idaho Falls. Nice ride. going past palisades and Idaho Falls on our way back from riding Lolo pass. When we travel I research the weather algorithms for our ride. Checking wind and rain probabilities and that's when we go. All our rides over four years were perfect except when I was coming home from Arizona and I was fifteen miles out of Tucumcari. It rained so hard that I had to stand on the side of the highway and wait it out. Didn't find an over pass to get under. It sucked. we were thinking of Bear tooth pass but it is supposed to be in the 30's and if there is rain we would be popsicles. So we elected not to go over the pass. It's not bad to have a little rain but you guys definitely got screwed. We were in Sturgis last year and rode iron mountain road. At the top of iron mountain road we had lightning. And our weather showed heavy rain on needles highway. We were a head of the storm to our hotel. Once we pulled into the hotel at the overhang two minutes later it poured.
@@milemarkermike7234 we went through in mid-late August. Great weather except for that day. Such a beautiful ride! I can’t believe how quickly they re-opened Teton Pass.
Born Free isn't just a bike show it's a motorcycle enthusiast's version of the Burning man! California my home state and they know how to put on a show. Ride safe my friend
Safe travels brother. You definitely have a lot of memories on that vest! Maybe you could frame it? Also, Cardo is the best! Absolutely love mine. If you get a chance, look into Freedom Shields. They almost look like the clear shield that you have but it’s actually tinted. I just went from the Harley 12” to the 12” Freedom Shield on my 23 CVO Road Glide and it’s absolutely beautiful. Ride safe!
I keep telling folks the only reason their bagger cant go fast on the drag is because they dont know how to ride it yet. Good riding. Love leaning these heavy girls over.
Hey buddy, heard today Going to the Sun road opened today! Dig the new vest. If you decide to retire the old one, you could do like these retired athletes do, get a nice non-reflective glass frame to hang the vest in nicely, to place on the wall in your home office or garage.
Hmmm, good question I am trying to remember. It might have been in Cody or at the Top of the World store. Sometimes we order them online afterwards if we don’t see anything.
By the way Matt.. I don’t know if you ever get enough credit for what you’ve done by bringing all the influencers into the corporate scene and making them all a part of the Harley universe.. it was and is a brilliant idea.. especially all the rallies and the 2024 launch..I hope the motor company recognizes your genius!
