Really great to see this rifle pop up. I bought a 65 new just before the 66 came out. I believe the 66 was identical to the 65 except for a more angular stock. I can't remember if mine was a Diana or an Original, but I think it was an Original 65). It had the barrel lock and the barrel shroud, and a beautiful walnut stock that was stippled not checkered. It was Incredibly well engineered and fantastically accurate. Now for the sad part - I had a mortgage and stuff and I sold it in as new condition to pay for my car insurance. I know.........
Interesting rifle.I imagine both cylinders need to function in perfect harmony to achieve the recoil less operation? I’m nevertheless surprised this system hasn’t been adopted by the likes of Weihrauch,it would have the benefits of both spring and pneumatic systems and would surely be popular? Imagine one based on a HW97 - wow! I guess cost and complexity is why it’s not been developed and manufactured?
Great rifles with the two pistons. I own the Diana 75 and can fire with 3 pellets on top of each other standing on the action without falling down. More accurate than my AirArms S410 PCP. Great buy buddy! 👍 I own also the FWB 300S and Walther LGV Spezial, also superb match rifles and accurate on the millimeter with the right pellet.... Cheers!
