Britta Phillips is the bass guitarist in critically acclaimed NYC band, LUNA, half of the musical duo, DEAN & BRITTA, an actor, voice actor, and a film score composer (notably, Noah Baumbach's THE SQUID & THE WHALE and MISTRESS AMERICA). She began her long and winding career as the singing voice of cartoon character, JEM, of Jem and the Holograms.
Brita Phillips>The Cars any day. This rendition has so much power and emotion. Britta's sound and style is timeless and my God is that voice enchanting.
I love this song! and your voice! I love this and your cover of Drive. I can see Jem/Jerrica sing this and your slow covers. You must do tons more! I can't believe I was late to the game on this. ❤🧡💛💚💙💖
Just miraculously good - what a beautiful performance! Although I sort of miss the original countermelodies, yours are just fine and the guitar sound is magical. Covers don't usually blow me away, and I love Evie Sands' original, but this is right up there with it. Thank you for such a beautiful and respectful tribute to Evie's and Al Gorgoni's under-known masterpiece.
Hi Britta, I am a 22 year old who grew up watching Jem with my mother who saw the original show runs in the 80s. You have a very beautiful voice and I hope you'll release another album soon.
Been a fan since his early years with Galaxie 500 through Luna. My all time favorite bands. Britta is so underrated. Her voice is amazing and she's beautiful. Night Nurse is my fav from this duo.
Bought the DVD many years ago. The best part (to me) is Sean's guitar on "Still At Home". I remember an official video for Chinatown on 120 Minutes back in the mid-90's. The one with the coffee being poured on the restaurant table at the end of the video and the disappointed waitress. I wish it was available to see again.
Wait I was looking for something similar to mazzy star people suggested me this But Wtfffff ? Its totally sounds like lana or may I say she totally sounds like you
