Good evening sir, pls sir I have a problem with my GMC TERRAIN 2012 ecm and tcm not equipped but the car can start and engine steam very well but when engage in gear there will be noisy sound, pls any idea cos I have check all communication data and wiring and everything seems ok
the fix for a Holley sniper 1 is a dumpster ,, they screwed this up bad and let the general public pay to figure it out for them ,, then they release version 2 and don't give any deals to the loyal folks who bought gen 1 junk
@@520dblock3 it depends on the ECU. Typically you'll want a 0411 ECU because it has the IAC driver. Most green and blue and 2007 plus ecus don't have the hardware for dbc
This truck will not move if you have the front driveshaft out. Doesnt matter if you are in 2w. I used to tape a large wrench where the u joint went so it couldnt spin.
The older 4L80e is not pwm I think idk I’m just guessing you said the transmission is 1992? And the transmission sounds like it’s whinning the transfer case not moving fast enough too make whining sound right idk
@@ForrestWhite-dx5ht awesome. Just an update. I never got the tcc lockup to work right. I also never really bothered to put much effort into it. Im working on this car now after it's second blown engine so if your looking for an update I'll have one soon. thanks for watching
@@JovaniDanteGriego I'm still watching the video! Haha did the 700r4 make a big difference compared to the 350? I have the th350 in a 57 bel air and it's maxing out at like 55mph! Shifting in all 3 gears. I was recommended to a 700r4 which is being rebuilt now! Gonna try the swap myself so your video has made it a good bit easier!
@@ForrestWhite-dx5ht yea the 700 is a nice upgrade. I had 3:43 gears and could comfortably do 80 to 90 on the highway. My th350 never worked so I don't have a comparison unfortunately
I just took off the head because cylidner 2 had a misfire at idle. The lifter had pitting and the camshaft has small pitting. The question is, If I was just to replace the lifter only would it start misfiring right away or would it run fine for awhile? I just need it for a quick 500 mile trip and than I’ll replace all the lifters and cam.
The method for removing the keepers worked great but sont try the socket trick to put them back in. It broke my socket and almost broke my assistants fingers
I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with 143,000 miles. I’d rather have a different engine and transmission for sure. I love the body and interior of the Rover
Have a 99 z28 Camaro ls1 want to go to ls3 aint goin to be easy or cheap u forgot adding a Ls and if its built u need many other upgrades built trans upgraded brakes suspension trust me put a built ls1 in destroyed everything 😂
I just went from a 700r4 to a nv4500 in my 89 burb, just a FYI if that truck was a sm465/np208 combo a gm nv4500 is a direct bolt in, the only thing that needs to change is the hole in the floor, the nv4500 is much stronger then the 80e and you retain the granny low while getting overdrive(if it's a early nv4500)
Thank you for the informative video. It helped a lot. I have a stock 1978 Silverado, putting in 2000 5.3 vortex in it. What is the easiest way to run an inline fuel system using the stock tank? My intake has supply and return line. Thanks for the help.
@@JovaniDanteGriego ok thank you. I couldn’t find that particular model but will continue looking. Will it work connecting the pump to the external port of the sending unit sticking out of the tank? or do I need to get another tank? Or would it work if I attach a pump to the sending unit that’s inside the tank?
@markcagle4827 it should work. Just mount the pump lower than the tank www.highflowfuel.com/genuine-walbro-ti-255lph-universal-external-inline-pump-wal-gsl392/?sku=WAL-GSL392-939-8AN6AN&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw_Na1BhAlEiwAM-dm7GOdznatW3pRTXub87d2gxz6xnixbjh9IPZdI7vrX_y9J5QTsxpzBBoCvnwQAvD_BwE
Since it's a square body, check out my Holley sniper efi on my dually, you can get a efi tank for these trucks for like $100 bucks. 87 r10 efi tank, with the 87 sending unit. Then all you have to do is get your self a fuel pump for a 1997 c3500 and mount that in the sending unit
@@JovaniDanteGriego Thank you. I like that idea. I was going to have to change the tank, rust in it. Only thing I’m confused about is the 1997 c3500 pump. Is it because of the psi it produces?
There’s a plug on the side of the block just above where the oil filter screws into. If you remove that plug, you can test the oil pressure from there. If you have good oil pressure, then oil will go from there up to the cam bearings and oil ports. Lacking oil at the rockers would be in this area, bad cam bearings, plugged or partially plugged ports.
Ive tested the oil filter threaded port and the stock oil pressure port by the distributor and both have excellent pressure 60psi+ when spun with the drill. I'm going to remove pan nd timing cover to check for missing galley plugs
@@JovaniDanteGriegoI found a post saying maybe you need a better primer tool. They said a drill doesn't spin fast enough to prime all the passages to feel that 60 psi. The post I saw said the primer tool needs to seal at the correct points to prime to the heads. I haven't worked on anything older than an 80's blazer. Sorry lil sir.
Now another pointer when you are going to buy a used engine only buy it if you can see what vehicle it came out of. Reason for that is you run the vehicle vin with car fax you can verify mileage -view last oil changes ect. Obviously not everything will be documented for service if they did their own work like me and many others but it will show the last odometer reading from recent inspection . I just looked at 25 different engines only 2 of them were legit or close to legit . Some advertised as 103k miles so I ran vin and they were 381k miles. All the older Chevy-gmc Yukons tahoes silverados you can swap instrument clusters from vehicle to vehicle and it works. So you can buy a brand new cluster online with zero miles plug it in and you will show zero miles on odometer. That’s how those guys are selling Yukons with 125k but really have 350k on them . Many crooks out there
I just got screwed on a Yukon xl I bought off eBay. Came off the hauler with low oil pressure. When I dropped the oil pan hood amount of metal -new pick up tube oring and oil pump already installed . Seller swears it wasn’t like that when it left so the truck driver hauling it must of been bored and decided to put new oil pump -oring and gasket in lol. I’ve proved to seller with video and photo evidence then I have less then 15 miles on vehicle and evidence of engine damage and that somebody already in there trying to fix oil pressure issues. He offered to give me $250 return and then another $250 after I left good review. I choose to leave bad review instead
Got 2 early gen Snipers (2017) and got tons of issues. No matter what I was doing, each new start was different. Often way too rich. Short story: after I have done 20000000 checks, swapped them on same car, replaced o2's, pressured exhaust for least, secured injectors, redone/reset etc... I have decided to remove the internal regulator and replace it with an external one. Boom! problems fixed! It was rich no matter the settings because according to pressure check, the regulator allowed 70+psi vs the 59.5. When I removed the regulators on both units, it was obvious the little membrane supposed to be secured, fuel tight was very loose explaining the diff for every ride. This chinese 32buxx 3ways regulator fixed everything. They changed the design, as i see on yours, but I bet the problem remains. Spare yourself future headaches and install a regulator! Oh and avoid the 180buxx regulator that they sale. I was able to compare and even down to the membrane they are exactly the same. The diff lays in the an6 fittings, which I replaced as the chinese one were clearly visibly not to be trusted. That's in no way explaining the high cost of that regulator and only shows once more how greedy Holley has become.
@@davidpate7807 yes it will start, you can get O2 sensor adapters on Amazon you just need to know what your sensors look like, or even better just get the right sensors
