Recuerdo está serie con mucho cariño, la veía todos los días. Me parece que el dr Cox inspiró al personaje del dr House, otra serie que adoro, gracias por compartir tan lindos recuerdos.
In all honesty, JD is so emotionally needy that no real person would ever be able to put up with him, let alone make it as a doctor. Cox would have been beating the shit out of him in the parking lot in 6 months.
I dont know who i expect cox to have married, but Jordan seems wrong. Cox crushes opponents into powder. The stronger the opponent, the finer the powder. When you fight Dr. COx, the best you can hope for is a draw, like when JD's brother tried to "warn" him. The closest to a mate for Cox might be a Sofia Vergara-type character from Modern Family....an EXTRA feminine NON-modern woman from a different culture turned ON by an abrasive man (She loved watching her husband yell at the mechanic taking too long on her car over the phone). The different culture would offer a TRUE mental vacation from his modern American life and the feminine part would disarm his combative nature. OTher than that, objectively, he's a tall, athletic, smart, accomplished doctor who should be able to find a woman he actually LIKES very, very easily.
He does like/love Jordan. Partly because Cox actually enjoys arguing and ranting. Jordan does, too... it's why they get along in a very bizarre way. She's his counterpart.
The review scene are start hits so hard. If theres ever a job you're in and you're serious about it, the way he framed the performance review really is familiar in so many ways.
I never understood the character of doctor Cox, he continiously complained about how private hospitals treated their patients, but he worked for a private hospital.
The one thing I love about Dr Cox is sure he loves to rip on people but there are times when you can tell he does actually care when JD or Elliot genuinely need help. He's the perfect frenemy because he will break your spirit like a twig and then fix it just enough so he doesn't have to do your work.
The whole video tape thing is 100% Dr. Cox's fault. He sprung that job on JD and provided the equipment. It isn't unreasonable for JD to assume that it was ready to go.
I miss this show and i was 10 when it came out in 2001 but at that time i didn't know it aired. i loved Elliott and carla but JD Was so annoying lol and turk was the funniest i wish this would come back on the air... so sad it ended
One thing I’ve noticed when I re watched the show during the lockdowns…notice the TIMINGS of his rants. Whenever he yelled at JD, more often than not it was when JD had his head in the clouds. Whenever he yelled at Elliott, it was usually to distract her mind to avoid her going into a meltdown. Is he mean? Hell yes! But notice JD and Elliott’s behaviors AFTER his rants, it’s as if they suddenly gain composure and get back to the task at hand more focussed.
Do you think, that if Dorian didnt bark, Dr Cox would have fired him, but since he "woofed", cox is relieaved because he see "hope / a chance" in Dorian?
