Big advances for dental implants HARVARD HEALTH LETTER APRIL 1, 2021 Smaller sizes and high-tech placement methods mean more people are candidates for prosthetic teeth. If you’ve been told you’re not a candidate for dental implants, it’s time to revisit the subject. Dental implants - permanent prosthetics implanted into the jaw - have changed. "In the last five years, we’ve learned that smaller implants can work just as well as regular-size implants, and this makes more people candidates for them," says Dr. German Gallucci, department chair of restorative dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine
dental appliance is not working so dont waste money ! terrible disease no treatment whatsoever!!! even machine cant help me when i am on flat bed i have to elevate my bed a bit but still on my back or left side is still not helping i am at 17 pressure on 20
I have a 770 credit score I financed through the place i got my bottom implants 25000 dollars. They got me a company in Alabama to get an eight year loan at 15 percent interest.I am not happy with that because it cost 470.00 a month as most of my payment goes to interest.I told my dentist that the finance company makes more money off the interest than he makes as he has to pay his staff and rent along with insurance. The original contract was eight percent but left blank on the contract so beware of the finance companies.I think best to take home equity loan as that would work better with payments and can be write off on taxes.
After a full year I’ll be getting my final Zirconia teeth in 5 days. I’ve had Acrylic temp in my mouth since surgery to let my gums heal and settle in. My dentist is Eggleston he wrote the book a million dollar smile. Great video showing the strength
Fml. Gotta get my top done in 2 weeks for $12,000. Snap on dentures. Not even the good implant bridges. Those wouldve been around $20_22000. Just the top. Bummy.
Snap on Dentures with a bar on 4 implants with ceremic or composite teeth ...cost nothing in the Netherlands 🇳🇱. Basic health insurance 180 euro's a month paying includes teeth removal , reline , anesthesia normal dentures etc. No extra cost.
Dental treatment are to expensive. The dentist don't care about you. They care about how much money they can get out of you!!! They want every client to pay for their student loans!
Just a suggestion: I have Non-Hogkin’s Lymphoma and have experienced a significant weight loss. I also have dental problems. My VA Home Health Care Provider came up with a mixture of pudding mixed with a high protein/high calorie shake. It’s stabilized my weight loss and I have even put on a few pounds. I think, because pudding requires no chewing, this would be ideal for a patient following dental implant surgery. Might not work for everyone; but it has worked well for me! 😊
That is great and glad it worked for you. Both my husband and myself don't have any teeth. I bought generic Ensure drinks from the dollar store. To keep him especially from losing any weight. I don't weigh much either. But don't have the health issues my husband does. I appreciate your information.
Many of the formerly middle class families, after Covid's recession, have now sunk to lower or working or retired, so think just above Federal Poverty Level incomes!! They don't qualify for Medicaid & Social Security doesn't cover the 80% for anything but full dentures, either upper or lower or both!! Who wants to have all their remaining good teeth pulled just to get dentures??
My friend had this done and he swears by it. I found that just putting mouth tape on and breathing through my nose while sleeping on my side stops apnoea
Never laugh at someone missing teeth. Look at the prices. Not to mention root canals cost a fortune also and don’t last without a crown so 2k for one tooth? What if you have multiple and more in the future with no insurance on top of it? Not to mention look into root canals, they’re terrible for you!
I am going to tell you what happens. If leave tooth that needs root canal. Instead of getting pulled which is the only option. Eventually the infection spreads to the bone in your jaw. Killing your neighboring healthy teeth. So you will lose even more teeth. If you are really lucky like I was. That it doesn't spread to your heart or brain. Which is life threatening. You will have no teeth left by the time it is over with. I would find low income dentist on Google near you. Get the tooth pulled. I am telling you through experience. You are going to make things a lot worse by not doing anything.
You are speaking my heart right now. Even tho I want to, I just cannot Root Canal this infected tooth. I think that long term, they are terrible for you. Instead, I'll lose one more tooth. This will make my 4th.😢
@archpoint i was wondering ,what if i have teeth made of that material and i slip and fall on my face or hut my mouth ,would it break, good to know it wont. Now question is what happens to the implants??
My periodontist charges over $500 for four of the pink colored inserts, is he overcharging? I have had my removable denture for only three years. I would like to do my own, I see him yearly for inspection of everything what do I need to purchase in order to do it myself? There aren’t any links.
I just had my final set of FP1s put in last week. These are fantastic. I paid an all inlcusive price for all on 4s. My dentist ended uip putting in 6 implants and I ended up getting this type of denture instead of a typical FP3 denture. (I had 2 sets of 3d printed temporary fixed dentures before my final set was made.) My dentist is a perfectionist. He does about 3 full restorations per week. Only thing he does. Not general dentistry. I had no idea I was getting something this awesome. No bulk. Very similar to the 6 on 3 or 4 on 8 dentures. Just teeth. No artificial gum at all. 60 year old male.
I have the exact same story. I am only on day 7 after surgery but like you paid for all on 4 but got 6 implants and a temp that has no fake gums. Only part that sucks is the sutures.
@@portmead21 the pain is temporary. I am on week 4 now and it’s so much better. Yes it sucks for about two weeks but it does get better. Just stick to the soft food diet and everything will be fine.
How do I know for sure if my Dentist is inserting Zirconia Implants all on 4 prostheses? And Thank You for this Video!! You come across as very Professional!!
