Max, That is practically sand, it seems. I've wondered how effective a 2 meter "posthole" would be for drainage. The numbers are: 19.6kpa 0.196bar 0.194atm 2.85psi It won't be fast. Just wonder if that "wetland" you videoed would be less swampy with a proper posthole.
I hope you’re doing well! I have a couple of ideas for an auto disengaging lead screw nut that I’d like to share with you. Segmented Nut Design: This would involve the nut being split into 2 or 4 pieces, held together by a spring. When the screw hits a stop, a spreader cone would disengage the nut. Cone-Shaped Ramp Nut: In this idea, a cone-shaped ramp nut could be positioned at the end of the shaft or along it with a jam nut. A spring-loaded half nut would then roll up onto the ramp to disengage. I think both concepts could offer some interesting functionality. Let me know your thoughts, and if you’d like to chat further! Best, Dean
I am a huge proponent of diy, but for this particular job, considering it was only 4K more, and you get a 5 year warranty, then I might have chosen the contractor to do it. Also, did you decide to just do the two runners after the contractor quoted it - if so, the quote may not be like for like. If he was going to dig down a lot further too it would likely be more durable. Lastly, the warranty - if you sell the house inside of 5 years - would help home values. I’ve DIY built entire extensions (foundation to roofing) by myself, rewired entire houses, install large solar arrays, with DIY lithium storage, and retrofitted houses with central heating, cooling, and water heating - including gas work (all for my own places - I’m in tech for my day job). It’s all fun, you learn a lot, and feel accomplished… but if I were in Germany, with a 5 year warranty, knowing what I know today in terms of time sink - I’d probably pay the little extra for the work to be done. 😂 Still, I like the work you did, and love that you actually compacted everything properly - shady workers will sometimes not, and you end up with a sinking driveway in a year!
A warranty for 4000€ is not worth anything really. If I had to use it the builder would just not answer his phone. Then I get my lawyer involved and the costs are instantly above 4000€. Then the legal process would take 2 years. Even if I win only about 2/3 of the lawyers costs would get reimbursed. Its not worth the hassle.
i know this is 4 years old, and i hope you do reply... but do you, or did you, have a Bill Of Materials for this? or a shopping list? I'm in australia, and i have the bambu A1
the rims of the steel beams that you glued/welded together ,that is where you removed the galvanizing, they are the weakest link, that is where rust will develop very soon. How did you protect them from rusting?
We have something called “rain gardens” here in the USA. If you still struggle with overflow, look at rain gardens placed in your yard to capture more. Good luck!
Bloody typical German. Soo beautiful done and organized. It was like watching a cooking program. Yes it helps massively having the funds for such things as you clearly do, but very interesting and pleasing to see things go smoothly for a change. And your English is beautiful 😊
It is worth knowing this should be secure enough but if you fall and the way physics works says the force is more than than just your weight if it’s sudden so it would probably need inspection afterwards
@@MaxMakerChannel generally improves it’s recommended to use safety harness ropes because they are generally more resistant things like the metal edge so it’s unlikely to slice through
Nice CAS Battery System! I have Metabo Battery tools - also same Battery and good quality tools - lots of special and prpfessional powertools in the CAS System!
@@MaxMakerChannel They are usually amazing! and are on the top of the market. I also placed and installed one myself the lil brother I suppose. It's quite a neat machine! If you need anyone to discuss about let me know ;) Love your vid's so in return i'm happy to assist.
@timvanachterbergh That is nice to hear! I think technology wise they are all very similar. Wolf seems to have more technicians in my area. That was the deciding factor. Because if you get “Error 557” you need the manufacturer’s cooperation. LG and Daikin are quite a bit cheaper. Did you do the settings yourself?
That error isn't known by me? Or online? Also I got some trainings from wolf. But before that did most setting myself or with technician due to extended warranty. Let's talk off RU-vid (I see if I can message you on IG or ..)
@@timvanachterbergh That was just a example. I bought the setup service from them. They will come and do the settings for about 500€. What's your username on IG? Or just message me.
