We fly into Truckee-Tahoe airport and pop over the mountain to the Speedboat beach house, about 30 minutes total, easy peasy. Tahoe is very hard to describe to an outsider as there are so many different areas with their own unique vibe, but still connected by the lake’s laid back style. See, someone may read my comment and not understand, but I’ll bet you know exactly what I mean. See you on the trails 👍
its definitely a problem where too many multi millionaires are at. but hey it keeps us peasants away for sure. and im fine with that, i dont really like people with too much money, they can point there pointy little noses up in the air there at incline village lol, far far away from me
its so crazy to me that a average, a little small too, size house is so expensive. I get its location but where im from a 1,400,000$ house is a beautiful 7,000 sq.ft. mansion. there are beautiful lakes here where im from also and this house just like this one would run you around 400,500k, and thats being expensive lol. to be honest more like 3-400k
Haha! What state are you in? I have found amazing weather and a gorgeous location require a premium. As they say in dating, don't hate the player, hate the game. ;)
@@RelocatingToTheSFBayArea i am in good ole boy Alabama lol. Most people ( and thats a great thing ) think of this state as nasty back woods, hillbilly and ugly state full of trailer parks lol but although there are places like that not just here but all over the country, most of alabama is gorgeous and very affordable. Because most people think its a cousin inbreeds lol, 😂 but look at guntersville lake.
Its probably better weather here at guntersville alabama than in tahoe anyways. Its probably hotter here though, i do wish it wouldn’t get into the 90’s but at least there is little snow thank god lol

@@RelocatingToTheSFBayArea we just bought a beautiful house for 700k right on pickwick lake in northwest Alabama called waterloo. Although i hate snow it would be nice to have a snowy Christmas, but only on Christmas day then all snow go away lol
Hey! Not to Heavenly Village tomorrow from San Francisco and the videos I saw of the drive up there are terrifying 😭do you know if there is a way to avoid that no guardrail section with drops at either side?
Lol I know 80 takes you to incline / n lake it’s way easier and not as scary of a drive. 50 takes you to a lake not much you can do there just don’t go when it’s snowing it’s super scary. Best of luck!🙏🙃
What about if you just wanna buy land so you can build a little tiny home or a cabin or something or even put a mobile home which area would be the best for something like that.

What about boreal? We went to granlibakkin last year. It was fine for my energetic child who hasn’t yet experienced a magic carpet. Parking was annoying. Thing of going to boreal or soda springs next but don’t know which is better for an 8/9 year old.
SO a lot depends. Are you staying and doing multiple days? Do they ski/board? Boreal is GREAT and I just had this conversation today with a friend teaching his boys to snowboard. I told him to go to boreal because they are older so no tubing and boreal is a bigger mountain. If you want to run them ragged you can tube AND go to woodward which is right next to boreal you can see a video on my channel about woodward here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_bzj-xYC-gs.html . I think woodward is SUPER fun for 8/9 year olds. Tube town at SS is for 2-3 year olds not as fun for 8/9. SO with all that being said boreal may be more fun for your age kids and not that much more like $109 vs $80 but worth it if you ski or board. Woodward I think is $50 an hour and you have to reserve it so make sure to look online before going. Hope that helps and have fun!
@@laketahoelivingthank you! None of us ski so it would just be tubing, just for the day. We live in sac so not far. I think what is confusing is the tubing is on the boreal website, but we are talking about the same thing re Woodward. And to make it even more confusing, I think it is officially called “Tahoe Tubing presented by Bubly.” Anyhow, thanks! Sounds like Boreal/Woodward/TT is where we are headed!

last time i was stuck i south lake tahoe during a blizzard i used rain x on my windshield and made it all the way through carson city to reno with no wipers. alway rent if not own and SUV with high profile tires and a set of backup chains.
46°F to 51°F, rarely falling below 35°F or exceeding 63°F. It's nice not super hot though - best in July August and Sept. I fund beaches that have the most sand vs rocks are warmer and kings beach has more sand vs rocks.
I am from the Bay Area, Belmont CA. We bought a place here in 2020, my husband works remote now, so full time here since 2020. So happy here. LOVE Tahoe. I love swimming in the cold water ha
Lived on Spencer and Tyner Way for a long time. 1.) snow can drop as much as 38ft. Thats house buried requiring snow removal off the roof to avoid collapse. If you want to stock up on supplies you drive over mount rose highway to Reno which by the way is a prime location if your single or bored. There are a number of hidden beaches past Sand harbor that offer swimming ,fishing, water skiing, with clean boat landing access. The area you might consider twice is actually south lake Tahoe. This is the touristy area Great place to grow up for kids and go highlander football
I hope you keep promoting Tahoe as a whole. We need real prominent people in the Tahoe basin . I get tired of all the RIPRAP that visits. I say if you cant afford to invest here then go away. Im sure theres plenty of nice areas in the Fresno/Bakersfield areas for those other types to go and visit.
I can totally relate and the tourist's trashing the lake is out of control. I hope people start to regulate them in person and not be afraid to. We always make sure to put trash away when we see it to be a good examples.
