I was for some reason taking birth control until 50, two yrs ago. My periods immediately stopped at that point & I found myself post menopausal. I now realize I had peri menopausal symptoms at 47, I had no idea that’s what it was. I felt like it was hormonal, but my PC never brought it up. I had heart palpitations, itchy skin, feeling like I was going to pass out. It was scary. I was put on blood pressure medication. Not sure I need it anymore. Post menopausal, I just felt like an old lady. My mind & spirit are not congruent with my body. After 2yrs I decided to try HRT. It’s been like 6 months, still figuring out the dosage. My aunt is a breast cancer survivor, almost 90 now, so I’ve been told all about the cancer risks. Bottom line, I don’t know how much time I have left, but I’m not ready to be an old lady. I’ve recently added testosterone, which to me is huge. The biggest thing I will say is keeping motivated to be active, go to the gym. It’s been a struggle, even for someone who used to LOVE the gym.
Dear Dr Taylor, why is it that the medication of breast cancer blocks estrogen when estrogen does not cause breast cancer? why most breast cancer is estrogen receptor +ve if estrogen does not cause breast cancer? sorry but I could not understand your reply in the video.
All breast tissue HAS estrogen (and progesterone) receptors. Estrogen and progesterone are what caused you to grow breasts in the first place. But that does not mean that all breast cancers are affected by estrogen or progesterone. Some are and some are not. Some breast cancers grow in response to estrogen and/or progesterone. Some breast cancers stop growing in response to estrogen and/or progesterone. This is why pathologists test all breast cancers for their "receptor status."
Hi, I hope you're doing well! I wanted to check if you’re looking for a video editor and thumbnail designer for your RU-vid channel. I'd love to help enhance your content and visuals. Let me know if you're interested! Best regards,
Men never lose all their testosterone. They have steadily decreasing levels as they age, but they never lose all of their testosterone the way we lose all of our estrogen.
Yes. But you still need to understand what Uterine Hyperplasia means FOR YOU. And if you want to understand your situation fully, such that you manage it successfully, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.
Progesterone is something your body produces only for the benefit of a baby during pregnancy. The word, "progesterone" means "hormone in support of pregnancy:" "Pro" = in support of "Gest" = gestation (pregnancy) "One" = hormone Progesterone's only role during your reproductive life is to protect Baby Bear in utero. It does nothing for YOU. Once you are post-menopausal, progesterone's only role or benefit for you is to prevent uterine cancer. That's it! People who believe that progesterone has other benefits have fallen prey to marketing, not science. Most women have undesirable side effects from progesterone. They include all the things you associate with early pregnancy and PMS (both of which are entirely due to progesterone): Acne Bloating Weight gain Drowsiness Depression Breast tenderness Fatigue
Some will. The most difficult aspect of menopause management is finding practitioner who will help you manage YOUR menopause YOUR way. Unfortunately, menopause is THE most neglected topic on Planet Earth, by the healthcare industry, the disease care industry, doctors, and women themselves. There is no education on menopause in medical school. In a 4-year OB/GYN residency program, only 1% of the time is devoted to menopause. If you want to know how to advocate for yourself and get what you want in the distorted system, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online. Tailoring is the key to success.
Height = Altitude. So I have three A’s out of four. 😳 What is the base height? I’ll be able to determine my percentage of risk factor for me when I know. Very interesting statistics having to do with personal profile and my risk for Epithelial Ovarian Cancer.
@@MenopauseTaylor I should not be surprised. You have made me aware of studies to where I am asking what ages were the women…and more when I listen to others. ☺
That's the problem. The studies are not specific. In another video, I present how "flimsy, flakey, and fakey) the studies on risk factors are. This is an example of that.
That's part of the problem. The studies don't designate any specific details abut height! You'll see in another video that I present the studies on risk factors for ovarian cancer as "flimsy, flakey, and fakey." Now you see why.
This video SHOULD GO VIRAL!!! My goodness, Dr Taylor, you are a gift to womankind. 👼👼👼(Wish you'd put the maximum doses though) or did I miss the point!!
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts. The key to success is just finding the dosage that is right FOR YOU. Your body's opinion is the only one that matters. If you want me to tailor everything to YOU so that you find the right dosage for YOU, just schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.
You are ever so kind. Thank you. You will supersede me. I started yoga in 2001, when I was diagnosed with a very severe form of arthritis and my prognosis was that I would be an invalid in a wheelchair. So far, I've avoided that. I'll keep doing yoga for as long as I can.
Hi Dr, Taylor! If I paid attention, then you discussed estrogen’s affect on metabolism. I’ve been perimenopausal for some time and I can’t help but think that my digestive problems have been affected a great deal by my estrogen roller-coaster. It’s often blamed on my gallbladder removal; however, my friends (both males and females) who are not peri-menopausal don’t have the same issues I do after gallbladder removal. Do you have a video on how enzyme/bile production might also have a “love affair” with estrogen?
This is something that requires tailoring specifically to YOU. Metabolic factors differ from one person to another. This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via online video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

I am 40 and my estrogen and progesterone levels are low, but not zero. I have joint pain, fragile bones, thin skin and night sweats. Is it a good idea to go on HRT now or to try more natural options? Would HRT prolongue when I enter menopause? I've ben using Anna's wild yam cream for about 9 months, but I haven't noticed any improvements.
You are "Peri-menopausal." And you are experiencing symptoms of estrogen deficiency. The process of transitioning form pre-menopause to post--menopause (called "peri-menopause") last for 2 to 10 years. So, your symptoms are going to get worse over time. The very best thing you can do is to schedule a consultation with me. I will help you understand your situation completely and know all your options for management in all realms. The key to success is tailoring everything specifically to YOU, and knowing what each option CAN do and CANNOT do. That's what I'll do with you in a consultation. If you want one schedule it at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.
I am 40 and I've done a Dutch test that show my estrogen and progesterone are low. I've been using ana's wild yam cream for 9 months and it doesn't seem to help.
The Dutch test is meaningless. By definition, peri-menopause is when your estrogen and progesterone are on a complete rollercoaster. It's chaos. So your sex hormone labs are all over the map from one day to the next (which is why you have symptoms). By definition, post-menopause is when your estrogen and progesterone are gone forever. They're 0. 0 is 0. Don't waste your time blood, and money on labs that are meaningless.
@@MenopauseTaylor Thank you 💜. What shall I do? I have night sweats, my skin is crepey all over my body, my muscles are weak and I have joint pain. I've been using Anna's wild cream and I ordered some of the natural supplements you recomended. And orderdered your book :) My mum went into menaupause at 56, I thought it would be the same for me... But I don't have children, I have a large fibroid and tumour on my pituitary gland that maybe have smth to do with this chaos in my body.

Your saying unless cancer is invasive, its not cancer. Not true. Thats metastatic cancer that has matasticised to other organs or lymph nodes. There can be active cancer in the duct that has yet to spread outside the duct. Thus with comede necrosis,. Stage 0, grade 2. Grade 3 is into the walls of the duct until it breaks through. Then its invasive, and can go anywhere. Telling people cancer isnt cancer until it spreads is like saying heart disease is heart disease until you have a heart attack. You like to twist words and use half truths to sell your product. Bit charleton. Dont fear cancer, educate yourself. And not from people who want to sell you personal consultations and treatment. Dcis may not always turn into cancer, but depending on stage, it may already be cancer. Be wise when chosing treatment options. And btw, they are trying cryogenics on dcis. Results havent been very good at this stage.
I don't know what you mean by "waffle." Sorry if you don't like my waffling style. If you’d like a more efficient delivery of this menopause education, you should do one of the following: • Read my book • Watch the webinars in order • Watch the DVD entitled Your Menopause Your Way They all give you the complete education without the fluff of the videos. You can get any of these from my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME. And if you want the fastest track, schedule a consultation with me, and you'll get the education along with tailoring of it specifically to YOU. You can schedule a consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME. These videos cover only one piece of information in each video. That’s intentional. If you only use these videos to get your education, it will be very complete, but it will take a looooooong time. My goal is to meet the needs of all women, regardless of their learning style, and regardless of their command of the English language. Many of my viewers speak English as a second, third, or fourth language. You may not care about them, but I do. I am the only person providing a complete and unbiased education on menopause. So, I’m trying to serve the needs of all women. I’m sorry I haven’t served yours well. But I think one of the other options listed above will.

Hello there. Of late there are Menapause Doctors saying that to get the best health benefits post menapause the best way to take progesterone is 14 days out of the month and have a monthly bleed. Would love your thoughts on it or even a video on this. Love your channel and thanks for all you do.
People who believe that progesterone has other benefits have fallen prey to marketing, not science. Estrogen alone decreases risk of breast cancer. Estrogen plus progestogen increases risk of breast cancer, but it depends on the regimen: Estrogen plus progestogen in a continuous regimen increases risk of breast cancer only slightly (and insignificantly) Estrogen and progestogen in a cyclic regimen increases risk of breast cancer significantly. But if you go back to basics, this makes sense. This is completely consistent with the fact that: The more menstrual cycles you've had, the higher your risk of breast cancer. The more pregnancies you've had, the lower your risk of breast cancer. The bottom line is that CYCLES increase your risk for breast cancer. So, you can do whatever you want. My goal is for you to know all the pros and cons of each option.
When I was 46 and still getting my period, I complained to my GYN that I wasn’t sleeping, was having night sweats, had a very short fuse (moody!), and had gained 30 lbs. She took blood and concluded, “You’re not in menopause”, and sent me away. Two months later I had the last period of my life and went into menopause. I’ve never felt so dismissed, so lonely, so desperate, so discouraged. I was not ok. Now 8 years later I have educated myself thanks to you, and I have fired my doctor and found a telehealth company who has prescribed HRT. And I told them what dosage I wanted to prevent the three big diseases of menopause. I’m so thankful for this education. By the way, I’m a RN. ❤
Most women have symptoms of both. And this is because peri-menopause is, by definition, sex hormones that are on a complete rollercoaster. It's complete chaos. If you want me to tailor everything specifically to YOU, and ensure that you do what's right for YOU, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor. ME. I do them all online.
I think you’re absolutely amazing and I will schedule a consultation with you! I am a dietitian and do training for ladies who are in the middle of breast cancer treatment or have completed treatment. I am so excited about the options that you are sharing and I’ve been sharing your videos with them too! Thank you, thank you I will schedule a consultation now.❤
Greetings Dr Barbie! Ready for class! What you are shouting without actually saying anything is a large study on ovarian cancer needs to be done so we know more. The city i live in has a women's hospital and two research foundations. One for women only, the other women and children. The women's doesn't do anything like maternal health. They have a breast & ovarian cancer study/clinic.
