Starwar do have teleporters and worm hole travel and the have replicators that consumed stars is called the star forger and most of the stuff that is just too costly too paid for
Sounds more like you're a treky fan. You spent more time talking about Star Trek then star wars. And the time you did spend talking about star war it was more bichn About they treat Droids. Hyperspace is way better then Warp, Weapons not talking about lightsabors. I mean from hand held firearms to ship Weapons is more powerful. Medical technology is also way better in star wars. And many more. Infact there was a study done this and they found that star trek was a Kardachev III Star War was a Kadachev IIII. Why? Because Star Trek has the ability to use the power of the sun. Star Was uses the power of the galaxy. Made quite clear with Star killer base. Keep in mind Star Teck Voyager was lost in space and would have taken them hundreds or even thousands of years to get back. And that's in the Miky way Galaxy. Star War has a galaxy similar in size as ours. They can travel from one side to the other side in 12 years and that is with the slowest hyperdrive. A .5 hyperdrive can do that in 6 months. The ships alone would destroy their's. Transporters are nothing. Keep in mind all the problems they had with Transporters. Even their Hallo deck. And these isn't minor problems this is life threatening problems. And didn't star trek also have people hulling goods? Why is that? Plus how does the economy work? They say they got rid of money but how do they buy things? Not every species got rid of money?
Star Wars used to be amazing, an escape from real life to a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Not anymore. Now it’s in the hands of corrupt activists who claim that it needs feminism in order to reach a female audience. That it needs to make the once great heroes look weak, and powerless, and terrified everything. Gone are the days when we had awesome lightsaber duels, like Obi Wan vs Anakin on Mustafar. Rest in peace, Star Wars. You were truly phenomenal. I watched part of the funeral that was given to you, and I will miss watching you. Star Wars is dead. Long live Star Wars.
That's actually crazy people thought vader was lying like everything adds up they probably read/heard it, and before thinking about it immediately called out lies
Vader will choke Q to death. Or slash him with light saber. Q has many weaknesses. Most of his powers can be nullified by the force. In the force unleashed vader moved star destroyer by the force. If Q can be striped away from its powers that's massive disadvantage. Basically mind tricks have Q.
Star wars is far superior than star trek. In every way imaginable. Also star wars is sci fi and star trek is fantasy. Everything depicted in star wars is just plasma and electromagnetic and mechanical methods. Simple, straightforward and reliable. Death star station will wipe out entire trek fleet at once. Turbo lasers, lightsabers and blasters of the stormtroopers are plasma as well. Star destroyer will wipe out half of the klingon ships at once. Range of the weapons? Death star blasted planet instantly at 30+ planet diameters away. Upgraded death star was able to blast 6 planets at once. No even Borg cubes have any chance. And Picard vs Vader? Not at chance. Tractor beams. Where you forgot that? Tractor beam was so strong that can't escape millennium falcon. Death star will toss enterprise and crash it. Hyperdrive is just hyperjet engine. Just like floppy 💾 disk vs 1 Tb microsd card analogy. No new laws of physics, no fancy dark materials, no parallel universes, extra dimensions etc. Simply better efficiency and speed. Storm troopers have full auto weapons. Enterprise had tv remote controls😂 single shot.
Hate to rain on your parade, but (1) Star Trek has MACO - Marines that fought hand to hand. (2)In TOS, there were two planets with androids. One where Chapel's fiancee was and where Harry Mudd was
From jangos point of view he must have thought obi wan died because he fell down to the sea, so there was no reason for him to pursue. Also his goal was to leave Kamino which Obi Wan couldnt prevent. So basically Jango had to upper Hand in this Battle.
This comment will surely get lost in the sea of comments, but the main problem with this debate is that no one can agree on what’s canon in Star Wars. There has been so much random shit over the years that people like to reference in these debates that has nothing to do with mainline Star Wars. Whenever someone quotes KOTOR or SWTOR lore I instantly turn my brain off, cause it’s more fan fiction than anything close to George Lucas approved lore. It’s cool, but not exactly relevant to the movies or the main examples of Star Wars tech. There’ll simply never be a consensus on what’s canon and what’s not, and so people can just keep pulling obscure references out of thin air till we all die of old age.
I think you forgot a few categories. In Star Wars, they have: Realtime transgalactic communication Same day transgalactic travel In Ahsoka, they jumped in short order to a distant galaxy, using super stardestroyer engines. The ability to consume, contain, and use all the mass, energy, gravity, and heat of a star (Starkiller Base). The ability to build a ring world. They can teleport across space AND time via the “world between worlds.” In Star Trek, they have transporters, and replicators are a spinoff of transporters. But I’d argue that is their only technical advantage.
Transporter technology has always been a bit generalised. In theory, the computer takes a full scan of your body and stores that information, then the transporter converts your mass into energy, broadcasts it to a specific location (I believe subspace is used for this part) and uses the original scan of you to put everything back together again. When a person is transported, the person who comes through the other end, is the original person, made of exactly the same atoms. However, in theory, it's possible to actually create copies of people as depicted in some episodes, however this is always explained as a malfunction. In truth, you're not supposed to think too hard about it, it works, and the explanation is just about good enough.
Star Wars hyperspace is remarkably faster than warp speed. This would be a huge advantage in a war as was the Mongols' mobility against most societies they conquered...
BZZZT! Commander Data blows nearly every droid in Star Wars out of the water, hell even Voyager's EMH is at least on-par intelligence-wise to droids. And before you comment that he has no emotions, Lore does and he's basically identical specs to Data. And post-emotion chip Data gets 'em too. Data's smarter and more physically capable than almost any droid in the entire Wars canon. The one place that Star Wars technology outpaces *MOST* of Star Trek is FTL drive. Not counting the Spore Drive which is stupid or the Protostar Drive which is super-experimental, Hyperdrive (at least along established hyperlanes) is at least on par with Borg Transwarp drive.
Thank you! Every time this has come up I've gotten so much pushback about Star Trek technology (admittedly, I am more of a Star Trek fan, but Star Wars is great too) being more advanced in almost every way. Manually aimed turbolasers would seem so primitive to the crew of the Enterprise. And there are so many other examples of this, excepting droids and hyperspace I would say, hyperspace is admittedly much, much faster. Interestingly, I would like to say Data appears to be a lot more advanced than most Star Wars droids, it's simply the rarity and difficulty in getting it that makes Star Wars more advanced. It's so industrialized and easy to make they're a constant presence everywhere. Not that Star Wars couldn't produce a droid like data, but I really don't think it fits the SW aesthetic as well.
Star Wars technology is reliable enough that you don’t have anxiety about a crewman taking a shuttle to the planet below. My biggest gripe with Star Trek is the technology fucking failing all the time. It’s just generally not a compelling plot device. TNG overused this to hell.
If George had died, the movie would have been named, ' out to lunch with war in mind ' or ' Kenner is ruined war' or ' out of work special effects deadbeats, now at wars'😂❤
Or if you're a big fan of Adam Savage and mythbusters like I am it's full name is industrial light and magic which Adam Savage worked for before MythBusters
If you are interested, I made a second part to this video dealing with the more mystical side of the two franchises. Link Below. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DDRmXIbQQBc.html
Starwars has teleport and worm hole travel The old republic lore and the lore of the Rakata lore is super advanced and Celestials r also super advanced
comparing data and droids doesn't really work what makes data unique is that he can develop his own interest's and drives outside of his programming droids are much closer to star treks holodeck programs with a preprogrammed personality and sense of identity thats hard coded into them.
The Enterprise could scan the Death Star for the shaft that leads to the reactor core and fire a Quantum Torpedo down it while staying out of range of the turbo lasers.
There is a potential problem with that, Proton Torpedos have a very specific quality to them that makes them ideal weapons against the Death Star. I can't speak for Star Treks Quantum Torpedos and hiw they work but Proton Torpedos ignite Solar gasses, we've even see Y Wing attack Bombers cause small solar flares powerful enough to disable entire Star Destroyers when they are fired within a nebula. The reason this is relevant is because the Death Star runs on Plasma generators which makes its energy output comparable to a star, and whats more the giant Khyber focusing Crystals take the plasma energy generated by the Death Stars core and amplifies it to the point where a planet can be almost completely atomized in a single shot. Hell in Star Wars Khyber Crystals can be found in the hottest stars in the galaxy. This essentially means that Proton Torpedos by their very nature are essentially throwing a match inside of a leaking engine block but much more devastating.
Treky here transporters work by: 0.Stand still (stuff getting transported 1.scan matter molecules and arrangement 2.convert it into energy 3.find the wanted location 4.direct the converted energy there 5.reconvert the energy in to matter 6.arrange the matter correctly 7.done
