I feel honored you have taken time to read my channel description. I have had a few channels in the past, but until recently had not taken the time to learn how to do this "the right way".
I have been an avid angler since I was able to hold a fishing rod. My dad supported my love for fishing and taught me everything I could want to know. He also pushed me to get good grades by rewarding me with tackle. I'm very lucky!
This channel is a mix of instruction and on the water experiences. In general I am making content that I would want to see. You won't see click bait, ridiculous thumbnails, or "catch a fish on a live kitten" type challenges. I hope you enjoy and provide feedback. We are all here to learn and make each other better anglers.

WOW! Thanks a lot! I have one of those motors coming in tomorrow and I was thinking about the way the bracket just overhangs the front of the boat. How I would be able to do that and not damage my trolling motor? It came to me to get one of those brackets and use it. I went to Bass Pro Shop today and bought that exact bracket. I just took it out of the box and was looking at it to see if it would work and I found that the side screw didn't come where it would just screw into the bottom bracket to stop it by tension and it wasn't going to let my motor slide back far enough. Drilling that extra hole and tapping it is a genius move!! That way, it doesn't have that long overhang that is really a bad design. Minn Kota should really look into another fix for that because it could be damaged on the roller on launching the boat. Of course, I guess they did! With this $59.99 bracket!! KA-CHING!! Thanks for your fix!
Needed this video, ironically I’m in east TN and was diagnosed years ago with BPD (borderline personality disorder) when I was in the Marine Corps. Also have wife and kids, do struggle financially though which does not help at all but I’ve been looking into kayak fishing as it looks so peaceful and relaxing and I think it would help me to have that brief mental break every once in a while. That is if the wife is cool with me leaving her with the kids while I go kayak for 3-4 hours, not sure how that’ll go lol saving up for a cheap kayak and maybe I’ll be out there in next few months!
Been into paddleboarding on the downtown river for a couple years now but never bothered to learn about the dam release schedule or general river flow. Just learned so much from this video, thanks for the info!
We skinny dipped in a warm crystal clear lake out west about 40 years ago. No fences, it was open. PUBLIC. The LARGE PILES OF DEAD SHEEP should have been a clue ... but. The skin rashes never go away. Hope you stay well my man. 👍
Bull Run creek is cool too. I saw a video Alex Rudd did floating it (I recognized the bridge he put in at haha) and it was really cool, caught some small Muskie even in there. I bet you’d enjoy that creek. Might be a little more out of your usual area. Also, they’ve recently posted “Private, No Trespassing “ signs at that bridge. Pretty sure his video was fairly old when he posted. There’s a good bit more graffiti on those bridge pillars now than there was then.
Nathan, I am curious after a few years now if you are still happy with this install? Did you have to put anything on the in-boat side to help stabilize TM from bouncing in rough water or did you just slide it back at dock?
So far, so good! I have not slid it back whole in the water.. but do slide it back during towing. Honestly, our lakes here aren’t too rough because of the topography limiting how far winds go without hitting a mountain.
Great job on thye video. Thanks for presenting FACTS, not hype like the abundance of other electric motor videos which seem to fabricate favorable comparisons for the featured subject.
I caught a drum for the first time this summer. The crank bait was useless after. Hooks bent to crap and a crack in the lure. That species hits like an nfl linebacker.
That’s crazy man, I hope you get to feeling better… I live in Chickamauga about 10 minutes from Chattanooga… I subscribed too btw. Gotta support my semi locals…😂 That’s kinda scary man, I fish Chickamauga lake and Nickajack. I haven’t fished Guntersville yet but I’m sure I will one day.
Thanks man! I’m mostly better now. I love Chattanooga! Cool downtown and my kids really like the aquarium. If I win the lottery, I’m going to pay whatever it cost to fish in there 😂.
I got covid just after making this video. Weeks later I still cough up like a cup of snot every day. Not saying it was something in the creek, but is odd for sure.
It can be a tough spot, it’s just the most convenient place for me to fish. I’ve always caught very average size fish, but it’s just nice to be out there 👍
