I have spots on the plexiglass screen covering the instrument cluster. I have C70. I tried speaking the outside of the screen but they won't come off. Could it be on the inside of the screen? How could I remove just the screen and clean it?
I have a Volvo s80 2001 that is going trough a battery drain it will turn on normally but then out of nowhere it just doesn’t want to turn on, I put a new battery and a new alternator but that’s not the issue would it probably be this?
Two important points: (1) Need a 1/4 drive TORX SOCKET to remove the 3 torx bolts underneath the BCM and (2) the connector cover engages and pulls back SLIDING RAILS within both sides of the connector that release the connector from the BCM (the rails were why he moved the cover back and forth and why the cover did not move freely)
For the love of God what is the little tool you are using at 5:22 to remove the bolt and why do you have 30 inches of space where I have maybe 2 inches?
I have a 2006 s60 2.5t with a CEM issue. Do you have any recommendations online that will fix them? I have none very close locally and the mechanic I have taken to has told me a repair like this still has a chance of not lasting even after repair. So I’m just wondering if it’s common to run into the issues more than once even after repair or should I send it to a better repair man. Also I was told if this repair doesn’t last I’d have to get a new part and completely recode it to my specific vehicle. And once again I don’t have a lot of options locally than help. The car is gonna cost me a fortune either way but I just need it back moving either to drive or sell.
Thanks! Maybe you can help with advice. On the Volvo xc60 (D5244T17) 2012 (P3 platform) the BCM (ABS) needs to be replaced. If I buy the same module, can I adapt it myself with Autel scanner? Do I need to go to the dealer?
Hey I’ve got a 2005 cx90 and I’ve lost all readout on my dash / instrument cluster And I’ve lost all ability to use the heater When I did a scan it’s come back as a bunch of CEM problems ( 10 codes total ) Do I need to replace my CEM ? Can I do that at home ? Any help will be appreciated thank you
Is that controlling the front parkinglights?I am notbtaking that of now.Been reading there is a relaynthere resonsible for the arking lights and fog lights ...but this is a newer version amd dont see anybrelays there...
Вольво с60р 2005г Такой вопрос, гена выдает на холостом 13.4 под нагрузкой 11.8 Гену менял на другую тоже самое, кидаем на стенд у генераторщиков 14.3-14.1 гена обслужен. на тачку 13.4-11.8 Акб в норме и меняли на другой. Провод управления с гены снимаю 12.8 зарядки нет, накидываю 13.4 идет но мало, т.е. плюс есть. я так понимаю остается блок сем?
Hey man useful video! I have a rather interesting project. I have a 2020 S60 heated/ cooled seat with all the elctrical components. I believe the module found under the seat is what controls the axis movements on the seat. However is there a possibility that I can (lets say a raspberry pi) contol the heating and cooling functions of the seat? Note the seat is not in a car and will not be, however I would like to be able to to control all functions of the seat. Any chance we could communicate? Any insights I would be absolutely thankful for!

Oh thank you so much! I bought a rare tuned 2004 S60 for a restoration project, and recently had a broken coolant hose (no overheating, no damage, lots of running). Swapped the ECM back for a tuned one finally (as all the issues seemed to be gone) - and bang!, "Brake failure, stop safely!", also "BCM NOT CHECKED" error in the DTC list mode. What could it be, assuming a brief CAN shut-off? ECM? CEM gone electrocuted? Nope, this little thing has a tiny air vent like seen on harddrives, and the coolant from the hose hit the transmission, evaporated and flew in there, where it shorted the crystal, hanging the MCU. Thought of trying to drive to some service station, yet thanks to your video just took the BCM off and cut it open to see the mess. Will re-install today once the new seals are hard enough, though by the test (open, free-standing BCM connected to the harness) just a good "brainwash" was enough to fix this babe for no cost.
@@oshertzarfati3178 Yep, tho I used a petroleum solvent instead. See, 7 months already, and good as new. I re-opened it somewhat recently (wanted to re-seal it with a non-acidic compound, although by how it looked after 5 months I figured it was pretty much pointless - still did it because better safe than sorry). Still to warn you: like people said, my case was extremely rare (had the board mostly clean with a single large drop almost perfectly on the crystal), so it may or may not work for you (the symptoms, however, were pretty obvious in my case). So far I've managed to successfully repair every failing module (in my case, DIM, ECM, BCM, the mirror board and the alarm, also modified the buttons to be LED-lit with a very close-to-stock look), so feel free to ask on those.

Hi. What is E001 code? When putting my foot down on 2004 automatic XC90 it loses power and then I switch off the car and it's ok...until I accelerate hard again.
