I play modern but mostly retro games for your viewing pleasure, combating my anxiety and depression one video game at a time!
New videos and streams recorded daily, and released at least two or three times a week. If you have any requests on what I can play please leave comments on my videos. I'll always get back to you, and let you know if I can fulfill your request.
I also have two more channels which I hope you'll check out. The first is called The Simful Life, and is a channel where I play Simulation games like Sims 4, Animal Crossing, Planet Zoo etc. You can find it here: ru-vid.com/show-UCv9u7QeYJ8a9Rfr49u-8hjg
My other channel is a quiz channel called QuizzerLee and is found here: ru-vid.com/show-UCQFH9qcFHuMpB7_jZEAoNpQ
I also stream live regularly at www.twitch.tv/leegrids1273
If you like my content I hope you'll subscribe, and if not then thanks for checking my channels out.
Wouldnt it be fun to be able to find a random game or two featured in the magazine or its free cd/floppy disk/cassette, and have a play at the end of each video? I remember you used to get some obscure and odd full games packed in along with some great demos and (sometimes) full games! 😎 We definitely had pc gamer here in the UK.nit that i ever bought it, i remember it being sold in our local newsagents.
@@paulward2076 I never bought it either as I rarely had a good enough pc to run games back then! I did a couple of videos on the channel looking at Crash magazine where I added a bit of game footage in there. They didn't get many views but I like the videos. I agree though that sounds like a fun idea
@@YouveBeenGamed if you enjoyed them thats a big part of doing it, i reckon. But you do what you thinks best. I enjoy that sort of thing so i cant complain. Its like sitting round your mates looking through the most recent computer mag and trying the games out 🙂
I remember being so into this game but never got to play it that much. It was part of this 90m tape that had a bunch of games i was trying out. I found this game, checked it out and was like "Oh! This is my thing!". Played it extensively for just a day or so. Until the next day i was going to play the tape again, and i pressed rec for a split second and erased part of the tape which causes the game not to load anymore... I was so sad.
I dont remember the first game at all but i do remember playing the arcade version when we were on holiday at the Blue Dolphin holiday park. It was a tough game and i was pretty good at the likes of Operation Wolf and Rambo 3. Never played it since, surprisingly! 😉 I like the sound of your upcoming videos. The old school magazines are very nostalgic, arent they?
@@paulward2076 I think I played it at a holiday camp too! That or a seafront arcade, but definitely on holiday for sure. Thanks mate, I love looking at them personally but it's not always for everyone
@@YouveBeenGamed well, you cant please everyone all of the time...especially nowadays. So just do what you enjoy and im sure there will be enough people appreciate what you put out 🙂.
I wonder if the Sinden can work with Amiga emulation? I got one this week and my god why did I wait 4 years to play light gun games at home. Is the arcade game on Amiga light gun compatible?
I enjoyed that. Never played much or Turrican either. Played R-Type loads but never got past the level 7 boss and Xenon 2, for shooter games. And Rex on the ZX Spectrum. I thought that was a really good game. Wgat systems do you usually play on your Nostalgia Half Hour shows? Is it mostly Amiga and Spectrum?
Thanks a lot. I actually enjoyed it too by the end! I wasn't enjoying getting my butt kicked at the start! Good games those btw! I play anything retro really on TNHH, providing I have a way to play of course. From memory I think I've played Speccy, C64, Sega Mega Drive, SNES, PS1, PC, Xbox, Amiga and maybe more. Probably played more Speccy and Amiga than anything else though you're right!
@@YouveBeenGamed i cant blame you for playing more of those systems than the others. Apart from the late 80s/early 90s consoles, i spent well over a decade playing Speccy and Amiga games. So i cant complain at all. Ill look forward to seeing what else you play in this series in the future. Have you played the likes of Syndicate, Jag XJ220, The Settlers, Champo Manager, Scorched Tanx on this series before?
@@paulward2076 same mate, I played speccy and Amiga more than any others probably. Played a lot of mega drive and c64 too . I have videos of Syndicate and Championship Manager on here. Syndicate was part of the nostalgia half hour series. I think they both might have been. I have 2 champ manager vids
Im glad to see youre back making videos 🙂. You seem like a nice fella, which helps a lot when you watch someones channel regularly. I dont remember this game at all...i do remember Gary Linekars Superstar Soccer though. Same sort of graphics, mind you. I asked for a zx spectrum for christmas after playing that riund my mates 🙈.
I've been cheering you on for a while now, since you were well below 1K subs, and now you're over 2K! Maybe not MrBeast numbers, but you're progressing. I enjoyed today's offering even if I don't personally have much nostalgia for the Spectrum.
@@neilmcgrory1720 thanks mate I really appreciate all the support I get. I don't think I'll ever do superstar numbers, but to be fair I'd probably crumble under that kind of pressure!
That was fun. Ill look forward to more installments of Monkey Island 2. I cant think of much off the top of my head that might be worth playing like this, except Day of the Tentacle, ofcourse. I hope your healths better now and that youre taking good care of yourself.
@@YouveBeenGamed theres no need to apologise. Your health and well being is far more important, i know that only too well from my own experiences. Its nice to have projects to focus on, that get you by day to day and week to week but only if yiu find the right balance where it doesnt take too much out of you than is good for yiu.
Really what I wanted was all the great art music, programs for making games, editing homework movies, recording music even maybe a multi track program, really to use the thing as a offline computer for writing, but they just put a couple of games on the mini but imaging having the ten disk £3000 software you seen on a demo disk on a Amiga magazine with in depth pdf printable manuals included and links to videos, the software used for Micheal Jackson black or white music video, it was used on terminator 2 for Robert Patrick's special effects (though lies circulate it was done on PC's, I'm love to have it set up as a office program a pumped up workbench with every program you dreamed of owning! All with loaded tutorial pdfs and links to tube videos on using them! This could build into a interesting sub underground computer user group! How about designing it to run Amiga and Atari st software simultaneously, even co-operatively! There where some really interesting things about these computers that may come back into the fore through such a project!
RoseTintedSpectrum recently published a video about Duckula 2. Apparently the game is based on a short scene from one episode, which is an interesting decision.
Dennis was completely different to the British Dennis the Menace. I thought the film was pretty good at the time. I cant say ive ever played the game before 🤷♂️
Some of those games could have been much better, couldnt they? Anything thats tied to media/sport/product fads tend to he underpar. Have you thought of doing something tied to commercial products (McDonalds, Pepsi etc), TV Shows or toys? Im sure there were games (probably mostly on pc cd-rom, as far as i can remember, so not applicable for this series) given away free with newspapers or in cereal and that sort of thing.
Yeah they really could have been better! It's a shame most movie tie-ins were just a quick cash grab. I like that idea! I'm going to have a serious think about that topic. Thanks for the input
Fred F***s is a running joke from Angry Video Game Nerd, inspired by Fred Fuchs who was one of the producers on the movie version of Bram Stoker's Dracula.
I'm relying on you for updates on the next Amiga - I acquired a keyboard for the mini but it hasn't been performing well - must be something to do with the splitter - don't do Facebook so your updates are invaluable.
Make sure you have a powered usb hub if you don't. That was my problem initially. Hope that helps. I'll keep doing the updates for sure. Thanks for the support
I forgot how many footy games there were at the time...and how many were so bad 🙈. Keep making the videos. Theyll keep you going until you pick up and when youre feeling better in yourself. I enjoy them and you seem like a decent fella so ill be keeping an eye out for more of your videos. Ive had my fair share of tough times, i wont go into details but serious health problems meant i had to stop working 8 years ago, a few things ive learnt is youre tougher than you think and its worth getting out of bed and doing a bit of what you enjoy, like making these videos or whatever else you enjoy.
Thanks my friend I'll try to do that. The only thing stopping me is me I guess. It's hard to stay motivated at times but I'm going to try. Thanks for the pep talk. Hope things are better for you too
@@YouveBeenGamed youre welcome. I really do know how hard it is and some days you just need to rest and relax and keep life simple. But its good to have projects to work on to keep you motivated and keep you going. It stops you from getting too overwhelmed by it all. It gives your day to day, week to week life some structure too. It helps to give yourself certain days and certain times of day to do certain things and then give yourself enough time to rest or do other things like chores or meeting friends.
Great video, i was a little late to 16bit computers for the early Sierra games, I started on Lure of the Temptress and Monkey Island, but always found the various Quest games intriguing. I should get them on the A500 👍
1987 was - and is still - an amazing year for the Commodore 64 and Amiga games 😺👍🕹️. I still have LEISURE SUIT LARRY in THE LEISURE SUIT LARRY TRIPLE PACK for my Amiga 500 😺👍🕹️.
Fantastic! Great to have the Amiga top 10 by year series back - and you of course! Started watching during lunch but will finish later, however really enjoying the content so far. Fire Power reminds me of Mass Destruction on the Sage Saturn and PS1.
Sorry to hear that. Struggling through similar thing. They say you come out better off in the end. Hard to see right now but keeping strong 💪 Love your channel!
