Really enjoyed your tour! I am taking my very first cruise, and, as it just so happens, it's on the Celebrity Eclipse! I feel like I know where everything is now! I'm excited and a little bit nervous, but luckily two people I'm going with are survivors of the U.S.S. Titanic!! .... ok, I lied a little about that, but they ARE experienced cruisers, so that will help me "navigate" my way around. I loved how you gave us a good long view of each area. The ports of call for my trip are the Dominican Replublic, Puerto Rico, and St. Maartin. Guess I better learn some Spanish real quick!

My magnetic hooks worked in the bathroom - they were great for hanging up damp/wet clothes to dry in or near the shower. And we used them to hang up our toiletries bag.
Very informative video ❤ Was there any noise from Club Eden at night? I saw another video on deck 7 aft where the noise traveled to their room from the DJ and the couple did not sleep. We are booked in this type of stateroom on deck 10. TIA🙏🏼
We happened to be in a Sunset Veranda on Deck 10 on the Ascent . . and during our cruise, we had no issues with noise. I hope you have a lovely cruise!
@@jon.stan31 They rotate a number of live musician groups through the Lou’s Jazz n’ Blues venue on the Icon. They may not all be jazz however they were all very good! 👍
Tip if you really like espresso martinis. Go to baccio first order a shot of espresso then take to Martini bar and have them make you a fresh espresso martini. Otherwise Celebrity Martini bar makes premade espresso martinis that come from a machine. Not as fresh in mho
Thanks, Robert! That's the tip of the week, for sure (maybe for the month)! We stopped getting espresso martinis from the Martini bar for just that reason. It's such a short walk to Cafe al Bacio, this is a fantastic tip. We're going to try this on our upcoming Celebrity Cruises. Thank you and Happy Sailing!!
Yes, all Category 7 stateroom on the Tauck ms Joy - and this was a Category 7 Suite - have a three-guest capacity because the sofa can be used as a sofa bed.
Thanks for the tour. We will be sailing on the Joy in a few months, August 2024. I am confident from what I am seeing and hearing about Tauck that this will be a trip of our lifetime.

I've sailed in the Royal Suite once and it was amazing. My daughter and I are sharing a Royal Suite in August on our Danube cruise. I really love the extra space.
I always book the Sunset Veranda staterooms...no rocking, smooth, no engine smells, amazing views. Just wish the cabin itself was bigger. The two cabins on either end are larger with bigger wrap around varanda's, for the extra money and on longer sailings it's well worth the extra cost.
The Solstice-class ships are now dated, and Celebrity doesn't appear to be interested in upgrading them. We were on the Equinox in January, and many areas were in poor shape, particularly the cabins and verandas.
Sorry to hear your experience wasn't exactly what you hoped for. It's interesting with Celebrity - so many customers just LOVE the Solstice Class ships and aren't always looking for the upgrades, especially in the color schemes, wood treatments, etc. Many of our customers report their Solstice class ship cruises seem well-maintained and very clean so they're happy with the class of ship they've grown used to enjoying, even though they aren't the newest ships in the fleet. Hopefully they'll address wear in the cabins. It's good for cruisers that there is variety - within the Celebrity fleet and with newer ships from other cruise lines. You may find the Edge Class ships from Celebrity to be much newer in layout and design features - very up-to-date.
The Basic/surf (ok to read your emails) wifi is included with some cruise fares; while in the Suites an upgraded Streaming Wifi is included. Inclusions are subject to change by the cruise line. There are a la carte wifi packages offered pre-cruise and the rates per day vary and it also depends on how many devices are being covered by the plan. The packages are sometimes on sale via the Cruise Planner, so I recommend you check your CruisePlanner online when you book, and again when you learn about online sales, in case there is a price drop for a period of time before the cruise. If you have loyalty tier status, there are sometimes free Wifi minutes included, or that could affect what you pay for a package. It's not a single answer . . .

I just don't see much difference from a regular balcony stateroom. I know it's supposed to be a tad bigger but but rather lack luster for the extra cost. Is there a benefit I'm seeing other than double sinks?
I agree, there didn't seem to be a big difference with the balcony stateroom. Yes, the bathroom was larger. I think the other feature can be the location of these club balcony staterooms, which could be appealing to some cruisers.

What room number was this? We are trying to pick our cabin, and this looks like a great one! Was their an overhang outside of the veranda from a walkway above?
Hi! This stateroom has an infinite veranda, which means there's a window at the end of the stateroom. There are other rooms above with the same style infinite veranda, so no, there wasn't an overhang from a walkway above. I'll check to see if I have anything showing what room number that was. ⛴😊
I have a Deluxe Veranda (9211) booked on the Equinox for a Rome, Greece, Turkey & Malta - 10 night in Sept 2024. Looking forward to it!! We were on the Apex in April 2023 and loved it. We especially loved the food on Celebrity. Thanks for showing the Concierge class veranda

That is a great question. I'm not sure how tightly those bifold doors really close, so the AC most likely will turn off anytime the window is open. I think it's the window being open that triggers the AC to turn off. If anyone has had a different experience, please add a comment below.
