We are Carina and Martin, along with our two daughters Eden & Ivy, oh and two chow chows Nala and Kuga, we love to travel! Whether we are cruising around europe in our VW Camper Van Conversion or going further a field, our channel is here to give tips on van life and travel with kids and showcase some of the amazing adventures we have had so far.
We started van life in April 2005 when we bought a van conversion form a Frenchman in a bar in Cairns, Australia! We took our trusty van all the way down the east coast of Australia. Experiencing Van Life in Australia gave us the bug, so as soon as we could we decided to homeschool and experience van life with kids.
Join us on our journeys, mishaps and fun times as we embark on our travel adventures.
I haven't got a cover for my pop top but when cleaning the van roof, I stupidly used the extending ladders, that you are using for access. To protect the edge of the van, where I placed the ladders, I even placed a towel beneath the ladder, to stop it marking the metal on the van. Later my son noticed three small dents in the metal, which I then realised what did it. I got the dents out later by using a paintless dent repairer, when he was sorting out a small parking dent at the same time. The outcome is that I would never use and place a ladder on the side of the van again. The metal is very thin there and there is no structural support for it to support the weight of you plus a ladder. I now use a set of free standing tall steps, with no further problems.
We bought those silicone mitts from The Range. Also there they had plastic lids that fit over tin cans. Ideal for storing items still in the cans in the fridge like tomatoes and coconut milk. Get a diesel heater! For the winter and even cooler autumn and spring evenings and mornings. It turns your vehicle into a 6 month to a year round vehicle. Only £144 (though it cost £300 for my mechanic to fit it)
I’m addicted to this channel our camper is arriving in a week and totally new to it all! Love your door solution and your medical cupboard could I get these for our van and if so where? X.
Hi Leanne, if you are staying in central Levi, then yes, everything is available on foot. we stayed about a 5-minute drive outside. We did see some very brave people walking in (mainly locals). Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
Thanks we are looking at the same cabin you stayed in. We have been levi twice and stayed in the Panorama Hotel but want a cabin this time. The one you stayed in looks perfect, but from the video looks hilly down to the town? if its flat that will be fine just dont want to be pulling the children up hill in their sledge ha thanks
absolutely brilliant.. this is what i'm after can you post links and more pictures on the locking handles hows that all work ? and the RAIL'S where did you get them all from ...
U should attach the tunnel to the van first, then peg the awning and blow up. Mark one the ground where the centre of the tyres are i.e make a little runway to reverse Ur van into the exact spot when the tunnel should attach. I have never erected the galli prior to attaching it to the van first!!

I love van Tours. We are in the process of downsizing from our Talbot Express thst fits into a normal car parking space to a Mazda Bongo that also fits into a normal car space. But haven't decided to sell the Talbot. Video tour on Talbot just been released on our channel. Also one of the Bongo a month ago. What would you do. Cheers from old George and Jane
Blimey what a faff. So you need a ladder. Limited space. Why on earth you need one. Better if pop top manufacturer would make one . When it's raining and wet it must create condensation when packed away. George
